1:49And people are actually commenting. So, before we begin this wild escapade, why don't we address some of the comments people have given for us? Anybody? I know you had the MCU stuff.

2:02Hayden:Oh yeah, we had somebody on entertainthispodcastcom wanted to know more about some of the superheroes, like what's coming out and what it means, some of the things going on in the MCU and DC. But we'll probably focus on the MCU first because there's a lot .

2:18Okay, that's it.

2:21Hayden:That's all I got.

2:23I mean we're going to have that special.

2:25Hayden:Oh we're saving it for the special yeah, because I wrote down like four pages worth of stuff to talk about.

2:28You guys had the board meeting without me again didn't you All right, we didn't have a board. And then, Tom, you're handling. What was it again?

2:40Mitch:A suggestion for stoner movies which I will bring up because it is a technically christmas related yes and falls in line with movie news does it involve seth rogan?

2:48no well not yet not yet, and then I'll talk about magic the gathering for xbox that somebody wanted to to bring up.

2:55Mitch:So we have heard your voice, yep, and if you?

2:59have. If there are other other voices out there, by all means yell at mitch on social media and we will address you. But thanks for reaching out. Okay, who got punished? I did, mitch. What did you have to watch?

3:13Hayden:The Buttercream, the Buttercream Gang.

3:17Oh yeah.

3:18Hayden:Yeah, it was this heartwarming story about these kids that were Don't laugh, I can't keep a straight face.

3:26No, this movie was freaking horrible I don't even remember who suggested this somebody you. Oh well, I mean somebody gave it to me. I have a list. It was probably your wife.

3:35Mitch:It might have been dedicated to me.

3:37I have no idea where I get these movies from, so this movie.

3:40Hayden:Like I think one of y'all mentioned the last podcast . It looks like a movie that you would show middle schoolers about not being in gangs.

3:46Is that what it was about?

3:47Hayden:Yeah, because you had the Buttercream Gang, which is, like this town, tradition for young kids to be part of this quote-unquote gang. But they do good things Like this. Old lady fell down, they helped her up and back to her house.

3:59Mitch:They didn't call an ambulance. That's irresponsible.

4:01Did they take her money?

4:02Hayden:They helped this guy. Somebody shoplifted at his store. They helped him track him down and call the police.

4:08Did they wear do-rags and throw gang signs?

4:10Hayden:No, only the bad gang did they wore sweater vests. There was four of them, and one of them went off to live with his aunt in Chicago instead of Utah where they're from, and the one that went off to Chicago started getting in trouble with bad gangs. So the aunt sent him back home and then he was trying to be friends with his old friends, but he was trying to teach them all the wrong things like shoplifting and stuff, and they just didn't like it.

4:35Mitch, this sounds like a wonderful movie. What was wrong with it? I mean what?

4:41Hayden:I guarantee you would have never heard of any of the actors. They don't even have pictures next to their names. What I guarantee you would have never heard of any of the actors or actors.

4:50Mitch:They don't even have pictures next to their names in the IMDb stuff.

4:52Yeah, this is their one and only. Yeah, it looked like a picture debut. It looked like a really terrible ADR, like post-recording Was it.

4:58Hayden:That and everything was I mean. Granted, it was made in 92 or 93. It was all blurry Like everything was blurry Okay. Because I had to watch it on YouTube. Yeah, and it just there was no good acting. It was a bunch of kid actors, although some of the kids they're like supposed to be portraying like, maybe, seventh, eighth graders.

5:19Mitch:They look like they're 20.

5:21Hayden:So it's like that kid has a beard and to compensate for that, all the parents looked like they were in their 60s and 70s. I don't know it was really bad. But the one kid that came back. He became the leader of the buttercream gang. He became his nemesis and he was trying to make him fight and stole his bicycle and all this other stuff.

5:43Okay, let's just say we're going to start a gang. All right, why would we name ourselves the Buttercream Gang?

5:48Hayden:I don't remember why, but this was like a tradition, because, like one of the old guys that ran the shop that they bought groceries and stuff at was like yeah, when I was a kid, I used to be part of the Buttercream Gang and I'm like there is no way you can say those words and it sounds cool at all. I don't understand they don't really address other than the fact that this is a longstanding tradition for kids in this town . Yeah, we had our friendly neighborhood rivalry with the lollipop guild. There's no rhyme or reason of why this is a thing.

6:20Yeah, it doesn't sound very intimidating like blood or crips or whatever.

6:25Hayden:Oh, and then the girls are jealous because they can't be part of it, so they make the butter creamettes Ew.

6:33Ugh Ew Ew no.

6:37Mitch:No, yeah, wrong, wrong.

6:39That sounds like a terrible stripper organization.

6:43Mitch:The butter creamettes . I don't even like saying it.

6:46That's what you find in a strip club in the deep south somewhere.

6:52Mitch:In a town you can't find on Google Maps.

6:54Hayden:Somehow this has almost a six on IMDb. From who I don't know, it should not have been made. It's just so dumb.

7:02Well, did it make you want to join a gang or did it help? Whatever gang?

7:07Hayden:is going to kill them .

7:08Mitch:yeah, Whatever gang will eliminate their gang. Yes, so Mitch is part of the bad gang from Chicago or something, or crime-ridden Detroit.

7:16Hayden:How you identify them is they wear like a button-up shirt with only the top button buttons and they wear a red bandana like Rambo style.

7:24Okay.

7:26Hayden:That's how they identify themselves Did anybody get knifed or shot?

7:28That's the important question.

7:29Hayden:No, they punched each other. Oh, that was it.

7:31Mitch:Did they punch each other in the face, or was it a lot of on the shoulder, like you , no, he punched me out of bloody nose. Oh, okay, was it real blood. Or I'm pretty sure.

7:46Hayden:I'm pretty sure it was not real. I bleed. Dairy the good gang leader. Whatever, scott, scott, scott, his name's Scott the bad gang leader was Pete.

7:55Menacing names, it was Kyle.

7:58Hayden:But the good gang leader. He refused to fight. He just got punched in the face three or four times and then left.

8:03Mitch:That's a terrible gang. Yeah, he won a moral victory.

8:06Yeah, exactly Now his face really hurts.

8:11Hayden:So this was the best movie you ever saw.

8:12I hate you On a scale of one to ten. We got to use the new scale. Okay, on a scale of Stubbing your toe or whatever.

8:20Mitch:It was like getting disemboweled by a horse.

8:22Yeah.

8:25Hayden:It or whatever. It was like getting disemboweled by a horse. Yeah, it's an awful large frame .

8:27Mitch:It's a very big parameter.

8:28Come on, mitch, use both sides of your brain, accidentally hitting your thumb with a hammer while trying to set a nail.

8:35Hayden:Yeah, that sounds about right, All right.

8:37Mitch:All right.

8:38Okay.

8:38Hayden:It's hard to do it without numbers. I'm not telling them.

8:40Let's say it's like a three.

8:45Hayden:Yeah, okay, I mean, I'd rather watch it than Cats. All right, yes, still didn't like it.

8:49But Well, your punishment is done. Until maybe the end of this episode We'll see what happens.

8:57Hayden:Stay tuned, sports fans. Because of this, I did find a good punishment, oh yeah, oh crap.

9:02Hopefully you win, Mitch.

9:04Mitch:I'm nervous now.

9:07All right, let's move on to news and reviews, and we've got to burn through this because trivia is going to take a little while today.

9:14Mitch:Who had?

9:14movies.

9:15Mitch:I did. What did you watch? I watched 8-Bit Christmas.

9:19How did you like that movie, Tom?

9:20Mitch:Featuring Neil Patrick Harris, nph, nph. He's not in it that much, so it's a heartwarming tale of Neil Patrick Harris with his young daughter going to his parents' house for Christmas and she wants a phone. He's not having it, and so he regales her when they get to the house with a similar story of her wanting the phone. He wanted a Super Nintendo, or the Super Nintendo or the original Nintendo, the one with the big cartridges, where the front opens up and you gotta set it and it closes. That's the 8-bit one, which is prominently referred to as an 8-bit entertainment system made by Nintendo.

9:58Oh, I guess that Nintendo had a lot of speculations and rules about how to talk about their products.

10:04Mitch:So the movie features some actress who's kind of familiar. It's June something, June Diane something.

10:11Okay, she has another name and then Steve Zahn or Zahn. Yeah.

10:15Mitch:Which kind of looks like older funnier Hayden.

10:19Hayden:If you look at him side by side.

10:20Mitch:That's hurtful If you grew your hair out a little bit more and did the slick back, you'd look just like him.

10:25Steve's on. He was in that movie with.

10:27Mitch:I remember him being in Saving Silverman.

10:29Yes, and he was in that movie with.

10:31Mitch:He's in Sahara.

10:33Yes. Okay, and the one with Christian Bale, where, like he, gets beheaded, yeah, yeah.

10:38Mitch:There, you go. So he plays Neil Patrick Harris' younger self's dad.

10:44Younger self's dad.

10:45Mitch:Because it's all flashback stuff to the 80s.

10:47Yeah.

10:47Mitch:Which, you know, I like the 80s, so it was very nice to watch it.

10:50Because you were born in the 80s. So the premise yes.

10:54Mitch:The premise is there's one kid in town who has a Super Nintendo. Christmas is coming up. He's trying to get his parents to get him one and they're like nah, it'll rot your brain because it's still in like that time frame, which now it pretty much rots everyone's brains but nobody cares anymore because everybody's staring at their phones. Right, you might be right now.

11:11Hayden:I'm focused on like when were you born?

11:13Mitch:Sorry, Shut up. So there's one kid in town who owns a Nintendo and he's the rich kid in town and he only lets 10 kids inside the house because he doesn't even let them play. But they just get to sit and watch him play. So they go through this whole thing where they're trying to get a Nintendo. His parents are like no. And then there was an accident with this kid's house because he has the power glove.

11:39I love the power glove.

11:40Mitch:And it sucks. So he gets really mad and he like does this flying karate kick at the television? Hits the television, television falls, hits the dog and all the kids run screaming out of the house. Yeah, cause they're just like and the one kid's like what happened? And he's like just get on your bucket, get out of here, he's like there was so much blood. It's like I hurt the bones. The dog did live if you are concerned. There's no animals were harmed in the making of this film, so they go through like this. It's like I don't want to. It's like a Sandlot kind of thing, right when, like they got to beat you know the dog. To get back to Babe Ruth baseball.

12:15Hayden:It's like that you got to beat the dog.

12:17Mitch:Yeah, they got to beat Hercules to get the dog.

12:21Yeah, they got to a dog. No, just with sticks or something. No, the television beat the dog .

12:24Mitch:Okay, keep up, keep up. But it's like that same kind of like the little kids together, like their little group of friends, trying to scheme their way to figure out how to get the Nintendo.

12:34Hayden:How to steal from the Nintendo.

12:35Mitch:Because after the TV incident, the kid's dad, who's a douche, starts this no video, no video games movement. There's picketing, it's like a witch hunt for video games. It's Nintendo, which I guess back then was mind-blowing compared to what we have now.

12:51You can make stuff on the screen move if you push buttons Witchcraft which is pretty much how they look at it.

13:01Mitch:The movie is pretty much all about the little kids and going through this whole thing. At the end, obviously, it's really about the spirit of Christmas and spending time with your family and remembering the things you have, not the things you don't have Would you say this is a Christmas classic.

13:10No, would you say this is a Christmas classic.

13:11Mitch:Santa's sleigh is a better Christmas classic than this movie, and a movie I enjoyed more.

13:18So is this a good movie? It's all right. Yeah, I don't know why it's on.

13:26Mitch:HBO. It belongs on Hallmark. It's a Hallmark kind of better production quality. I will say. Watching a movie that has a bunch of kid actors, you're always kind of skeptical about how well they're going to do it. These kids actually did a really good job. They were actually pretty funny and how they jelled each other was actually pretty good to watch ok, that's cool.

13:42So you give it a what out of what.

13:45Mitch:I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. It was worth a one-time watch. If you're looking for a different kind of Christmas movie involving Neil Patrick Harris, nintendo, the 1980s, it's got it all for you, though.

13:57Interesting. I've almost started it a couple times because there's nothing on HBO right now and I was like nah, that just does not look good. But maybe I will. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

14:09Mitch:It's not bad. Your kids might appreciate it. Well, not your son maybe, but your daughter.

14:13Yeah, maybe News. News Stoned Alone or home stoned, whatever it was called Stoned alone, stoned Alone, stoned Alone.

14:21Mitch:So this movie was apparently like a joke a couple of years ago, Like somebody just made a poster with Macaulay Culkin, Like you know. Hey, in the future, this is him now. The premise is like he was supposed to go get on a flight to, I guess, meet his family, and he got high. And then I got high and then, I got high and then I got high, so apparently it already has a director attached to it, augustine Frizzell.

14:47Hayden:Oh wow, Will it be Macaulay Culkin.

14:50Mitch:He's allegedly attached to it. Oh okay, but so is Ryan Reynolds now. Oh wow, Because Ryan Reynolds, I guess, had a picture with a post of him in it now.

14:58Hayden:Well then, it all just depends on who has the most money.

15:00Mitch:Well, Ryan Reynolds.

15:01Hayden:Well, I'm saying like who they can afford?

15:03Mitch:I'm pretty sure they can afford Macaulay Culkin.

15:06Hayden:Well, yeah.

15:06Mitch:At this point in time in his life. So he's the backup pick.

15:09Hayden:He's a backup pick.

15:10Mitch:But so apparently it's like a poster came out a couple of weeks ago, maybe a couple of months ago, and they were like Stone Alone and it's got Ryan Reynolds now and like Macing, like yeah, yeah yeah, we're gonna make it, just trying to see people get interested it's like if you guys are interested, we'll mean we'll fork up the money, we'll make it . I mean, we just hired ryan reynolds to do some other movie, we'll do this too.

15:41They had to pay Joe Pesci like $40 million to come out of retirement for the Irishman.

15:46Mitch:So I wonder if they're going to come back for this. I don't think that'll be a thing. What was the stupid premise? I got to read it because it was so stupidly bad that it just made me hurt when I read it. You had sent me the article and I was like, oh, this is dumb, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling. He smokes a whole bunch of weed and he gets paranoid that people are breaking into his house. So he's got like PTSD from his childhood. With Marvin and Harry he tried to break into his house. There's probably nothing, he's just freaking out going high. So I mean it might be funny, yeah we'll see what happens.

16:32You know, I'm sure it probably won't get made.

16:35Mitch:It probably won't I think if it gains like a weird enough amount of traction, ryan Reynolds might just be like hey, McCall, you want to make it, I'll fork over some money.

16:49I'm doing pretty well he does. He has spent weird money on strange things to make movies happen before, but like deadpool yeah, in fact, he spent ten thousand dollars for a t-shirt. Uh, just so he could have to wear the b arthur shirt. Yes, that's what it was. Yes, so like they could have the rights to wear that shirt for that movie just because deadpool he like specifically like went and asked her family if it was okay, and they said no at first and I think he gave him 10,000 bucks and they went. That's fine yeah, that's pretty cool.

17:14Hayden:All right, uh, tv well, I've been watching the uh the Hawkeye series.

17:19Yes, and I like it like it a lot, the only one I've liked. I mean, granted, I've seen the whole- thing of Loki.

17:22Hayden:That's the only one that've liked. I mean granted, I've seen the whole thing of Loki that's the only one that I think compares, because WandaVision was okay. You know, winter Soldier I wasn't really a fan of yeah, this actually contributes to the MCU.

17:34The other ones didn't really when did this drop?

17:37Mitch:November 24th was the first episode that's why he's doing his hair like that.

17:40Hayden:I didn't even think about that.

17:42Mitch:Like.

17:42Hayden:Hawkeye in the show. Hawkeye's more like his.

17:45Mitch:No, he's got the shaved thing, like Ronan. Yeah, that's what you're doing.

17:48Hayden:But the front. The rest of it looks like that.

17:50Mitch:Subconsciously, you want to be Hawkeye.

17:51Hayden:I do the one without powers. Who doesn't hey Batman's better than Superman, that's true. But you know he's in this movie or in this show. He's going around. He was trying to have just a normal life after everything that's happened. Keep pulling him back in Pretty much. This girl named Kate Bishop, her mom's this rich person and as a kid she was saved by Hawkeye in the original Avengers movie because they lived in New York. Well, so they're having some kind of like party, like I don't know, this is like an auction, but they're having some kind of like party, like I don't know is it like an auction, but they're having like a it's like a secret auction.

18:28Yeah, like an estate sale.

18:29Hayden:Yeah, it's like a big rich people party and then they're having a secret black market auction downstairs in the wine cellar Sounds like taken. Yeah Well, these people like burst in trying to take some of the stuff they found from the Avengers compound, which was the Ronin costume, his sword, and then some kind of watch that they haven't really revealed.

18:48What that has, yeah, what kind of ties it has to it.

18:51Hayden:But so she tries to break up the people that are bursting into stuff, because she's like this Olympic-level archer and she's trained in all these like stuff growing up, all these different like karate.

19:01Mitch:Stuff. Wish my parents put me in all that stuff.

19:03Hayden:But she steals the Ronin suit and puts it on, and because nobody knows that Hawkeye was actually Ronin, everybody just assumes that the Ronin's back and all the people that hated the Ronin are after him, which is her, so they're all chasing after her.

19:17The hijinks begin.

19:19Hayden:Yeah, he's got to protect her.

19:20Mitch:So, how does he?

19:21Hayden:come into this. Then he sees it on the news. So how does he come into this? Then he sees it on the news and he just goes.

19:25Mitch:She's wearing my clothes.

19:26Hayden:Pretty much.

19:27Mitch:Honey, get the boat out.

19:29Hayden:But him and his kids were spending some time in New York for something.

19:32And they saw the stupid play.

19:35Hayden:Oh yeah, the Steve Rogers play. They make a musical of the original Avengers movie and Clint Barton, hawkeye's sitting there watching it with his kids and he's like he's deaf now and Clint Barton Hawkeyes and they're watching it with his kids.

19:47He's deaf now so he takes his hearing aid out so he doesn't have to listen to it.

19:51Hayden:Yeah, they're doing all that and he's trying to get home to his kids for Christmas but he's having to stay in New York to help her. It's kind of like a struggle for him because he wants to be home with his family and stuff. It's a good show. Think it introduced some new characters that'll be influential later on, which in the we do the special. I'll talk more about that so this takes place after endgame this is like the furthest show that takes place after endgame everything you know it. I think this is maybe the actual two years since it, and the other ones were kind of in between those two years.

20:27I feel like it's a little bit more encompassing to the MCU timeline than the other shows. The other shows were just kind of like dead space for air or for yeah like plot.

20:37Mitch:This is the first one featuring an original Avenger from the MCU. Yeah, he's using the first one.

20:44Yeah, yeah. And it first one yeah, yeah, yeah.

20:46Hayden:So it's good, I enjoy it, my family likes it, so yeah it's got some funny parts there , Like there's a part where he's got to get his arrows and stuff back and he's got to go to these LARPers that had found them and just was using them. He was like I need those back back.

21:07He's like I'll give him to you.

21:07Hayden:Just let me kill you they're doing like the live action role play and like attacking him with a sword. So he's like you gotta make it believable. Let me attack you, let me let me win I'll be legendary.

21:14He's like. He's like guy. I am begging you. Just kill me already.

21:21Mitch:I will say, uh, what's his favorite writer? He Renner. He is very funny, yeah, his bits like like he has like a. My best favorite one of him is the one from age of Ultron where the quick silver guy does something and runs it. He just like aims down the empty street with the boys Like he's like I could get you he's like, he's like nobody would know seen episode four yet.

21:47Hayden:Yeah, yeah, they reveal somebody from something else in the past that show up.

21:49But it's pretty neat how they're kind of trying to tie it all together with the other shows and movies and stuff that's happened yeah, I'm a fan , I'm enjoying it, um, and you know, it's on disney plus, so you don't have to go to anything or anywhere to see it.

21:58Hayden:So yeah, I think there's I think it's either six or seven episodes, so there's two or three more episodes left and I'm interested to see how it goes and where it goes from there.

22:06Mitch:Marvel just killing it with the TV shows now, yeah, so better than the.

22:10CW what you got for news, Mitch.

22:13Hayden:Well, I saw a new trailer for Halo that actually came out yesterday, like yesterday evening, and it shows a little bit more of Master Chief and a little bit more of the universe, like they're of Master Chief and a little bit more of the universe they're showing. It didn't show the rings, but it showed these large, almost planet or moon size.

22:30The Citadel remember that from the Halo games the capital of the Covenant. Oh, that's a weird looking mushroom.

22:39Mitch:Yeah, that's their high charity.

22:41Hayden:You see that in some of the screenshots you see some other Spartans that are evidently involved in this. Somehow you see that in some of the screenshots you see some other Spartans that are evidently involved in this. Somehow you see a little bit of Master Chief walking around and landing on the ground.

22:52Really good graphics. It looks good. It looks like they put the right amount of money into it. Master Chief looks like Master Chief, and then you see something like that you see, I can't remember his name.

23:04Hayden:He was in the first Spider-Man with the guy with the electric glove. It was the black bald guy. I can't remember his name, but he plays Shocker. He's got the glove and punches him.

23:14Donald Glover.

23:16Hayden:No, it's a different one.

23:18Mitch:Jimmy Fox.

23:19Hayden:No, I don't know.

23:21Anyways, that guy.

23:22Hayden:Anyways, he's in this . I'm wondering if he's going to be like the sergeant that's always yelling at Master Chief Sergeant.

23:27Mitch:Johnson.

23:29Hayden:Yeah, yeah, I'm interested to see it and I'm thinking the person that's playing Master Chief is the guy from Den of Thieves the white guy that was in prison. That gets out. I forgot his name, but he was also Pablo.

23:43Mitch:Schreiber.

23:44Yes, that's right, schreiber's brother.

23:45Hayden:He was in 13 Hours. But I'm thinking that he's going to go the route of kind of like Tom Hardy with Bane he's going to leave the mask on.

23:55He better leave the helmet on. He's going to stay traditional to the role like what it's supposed to be. Yeah, that would be wise.

24:00Mitch:I wonder where in the Halo franchise this is going to take place.

24:03Hayden:I don't know.

24:04I think it takes place right before Combat Evolved.

24:07Hayden:Dr Halsey is still in it, so I don't know exactly.

24:10Mitch:So it might have to be like Fall of Harvest or like right before.

24:13I'm not too familiar with the background lore behind the games, but it looks like because they're acting like the Covenant's kind of this new thing for them, for the humans and stuff. Still just an impression I get from the trailer.

24:26Mitch:It's probably like right before the human covenant war which takes place, I think a year before combat evolved I don't remember I know, that reach was like the big first was it was it reached it was a harvest okay I think something there was like some like little scale thing that was like the big fall harvest and then reach well, so Well.

24:46So he's still legendary Master Chief is, so he's accomplished some stuff. I don't know if it's from before Reach or whatever, I don't know. I don't know. It seems interesting. We'll watch it and we will find out. It comes out what February.

25:00Hayden:It's on Paramount+ and it just says 2022.

25:02Okay, so sometime next year.

25:06Hayden:It Paramount Plus and it just says 2022. Okay, so sometime next year. It'll probably be late, sure. And then the only other news I have is Cowboy Bebop has already been cancelled. Yeah, and Cobra Kai, season 4 comes out December 31st. They're on season 4 of that show, they are.

25:15Wow, I haven't watched a single episode.

25:17Hayden:It probably needs to kind of wrap up, though they're adding another one of the bad guys from one of the movies or something like that, that's joining Johnny's old teacher.

25:26Mitch:So you got Johnny and that guy Ralph Macchio, oh yeah .

25:33Hayden:You got them two against their teacher and some other villain guy that's joining in. I don't know who he is. I've only seen the first Karate Kid, but I like this show. It's really good.

25:43It's fun to keep going on. It doesn't need a substantial budget. It seems kind of well-placed for its spot.

25:51Hayden:Anyways, that's all my news, okay.

25:53Well, speaking of Halo, I've been playing Halo Because it came out. Really, it came out on the 8th and I've only been able to play for about 8 or 10 hours, just sneaking a couple hours here and there Of the campaign, of the campaign, but I'm enjoying it. It's an awesome campaign. Halo 4 and 5 were kind of letdowns because they were prettier games than their predecessors, but it was just the same linear, humdrum murder, everything in sight. Then get to the next part of the level.

26:24Mitch:The story was kind of a little.

26:25The story was kind of weak too, so this is a lot better. It's basically open world. There's definitely like, in order to continue on in certain places you have to go to objective and do a certain thing and then move on to the next big old part of the map that opens up. But there's so much to explore and so much to do. You know, and I'm a completionist I have to collect everything.

26:53Hayden:Catch them all.

26:55Yeah, hayden Brandon, I'm only stuck, I've only like completed about like the first two areas and I think there's five or six areas in the entire campaign map, two areas and I think there's five or six areas in the entire campaign map, but um the uh, the open world feature for this is obviously the grappling hook yeah and you can just use that to get anywhere.

27:13Hayden:You know it's like spider-man pretty much spider, chief spider I do like the campaign that it just replenishes after a certain amount of time.

27:20Yeah, you don't get five uses, that's it yeah, you need to keep it and you know you can upgrade it so it recycles faster. So you can just like spider-man just you know, tarzan yourself around all over the place and um , then you can upgrade that even more where it electrocutes people, and then you can, like, do a superman punch while you're zipping at him and then, and then the final upgrade that I just got is where, like, he has like a small explosion when he punches somebody and it does this area of effect damage to everybody around him.

27:49Mitch:Falcon punch yeah it's pretty fun.

27:54I plan on a heroic, which is the second hardest mode , and you die a good bit. Snipers are just brutal Juggles . Yeah, they're the worst. But once you kind of understand how the gunplay works and the moving mechanics and stuff, you just rip through crowds of people and you feel like a god amongst them.

28:15Hayden:Just on the first level, I realized that those little exploding canisters are your friend. Oh yeah, I just take them and chunk them, and then I dive into fight Yeet.

28:27So the game has broken down the guns and the explosions and the elements. You have hard light, which is, um, it shoots out these like purple little balls in different directions. It's kind of like a explosive. Uh kind of um, but but the kneeler is actually considered a kinetic weapon for some reason, I don't know why. Um, then obviously most of the human guns are uh kinetic and you have electric, which is uh, it shoots out this explosive. If you throw the electric canisters, it it has this explosive area of effect with electricity that like incapacitates people so you can run around them and punch them in the face or whatever. And then, um, you have regular explosions and then you have plasma explosions, which which does, I think, just melts

29:07people's shields real quick. So I like how the game has basically gone more in-depth to how the guns work and there's different families for how the guns work. And then, as you progress through the story, you unlock FOBs, forward operating operating bases, and you secure them and the more cool stuff you do in the game, like rescue people, destroy monuments to the bad guys and whatever, whatever . You get valor points and you can use valor points to unlock new vehicles, new marines to come help you and new weapons. And so you go to your fob and you like right now I just unlocked a Scorpion. So I'm just like I want a tank and I want a rocket launcher and I want a sniper rifle. They just poop it out for you, you grab it all and you get in

29:52your tank and you roll off and get into some shenanigans. So it's like previous Halo games. I have to kind of break the mold where when I use a rocket launcher, uh, I'm I want to use it sparingly, like for a boss or something like that, because this might be the only time you see the rocket launcher for that whole level. If you gotta use it. That's, that's the. That's the new thing for halo infinity. Is you just? you're gonna find it again everywhere. There's guns galore everywhere you go who are the bad? Guys in this. They're called the banished. They're like. They're like uh, more of like a mercenary type of after the covenant fell. There are these people that are aliens that banded together and

30:34are trying to just take over the galaxy for themselves. Essentially, they don't care about anything.

30:39Mitch:They just went into business for themselves. They're like you know what, there's a lot of us up to the Covenant. They're like you know what.

30:45There's a lot of us. We got some stuff. Yeah, let's make a pass at it.

30:50Hayden:So they're just like harvesting Halo Zeta. They look like more brutish brutes Dauntless.

30:54But it's funny because they have all the Covenant like the grunts and stuff like that, and they'll pick up the grunts and throw them at you, stuff like that. That's a fun mechanic, and the little quips and dialogues they have with each other is pretty hilarious. Has the Arbiter made an appearance? He was in the last game. He was a special cut scene in the last game.

31:18Hayden:I don't think he's in this game at all, but there is another evil Covenant that's got red blades on his hands and stuff.

31:24Honestly, like the elites a lot. Most of the higher ranking elites go camo automatically. They scare the hell out of you because you'll just be running around and you just and I'm done yep again. They'll one shot you, essentially with their sword, and they'll just sneak up on you . So you have this. Um, it's in the multiplayer too, that pinging thing yeah you can use that and detects cloaked people all around you too, which is also true for multiplayer. I don't know why we never thought of that, but um, yeah, so I use that. I keep that on standby and, if it's, if it's ever like really weirdly quiet I'm just like shooting my feet all around just in case one of them sneak up on me.

32:03Mitch:So graphics wise. How's it's it playing?

32:04It's a beautiful game . Um, they has like creatures and um, but it's just their decorations. There's no like you know animals are going to attack you or anything like that. Um, um. But the dynamic weather system is a lot of fun because you know you'll go to a place and it'll be like dawn and the light scheme will be really intense. The ring is earth, built up on top of these metallic hexagons that they just stack over and over and over again. So sometimes the ring is partially destroyed and those metallic hexagons are exposed, and if the sun hits that at a weird angle, it just blinds you if you look that direction. So sometimes the best thing to do is just to go away and then come back at nighttime or something like that, or if it's

32:52foggy outside or whatever.

32:54Mitch:Is there like a dynamic where going through an area versus daytime, versus night, like with enemy encounters?

33:00No, most of the time, like when you clear an area, the enemies are mostly gone. Sometimes they'll have little peons show back up, but they're not a threat like they were when you had to clear them out originally. You can tell the basis of the game changes dramatically when you accomplish an objective. There's more humans and less bad guys and stuff like that. So it's a great game. I I give it an 8.5. I want to give it a nine um. I feel like it's going to be a little short um and but it's free. On game pass I mean it's the most fun that I've had on game pass probably in a while, ever if ever. So you know I can't complain. And the plan for Halo is that they're not going to have new games come out for 10 years.

33:49It's going to be expansions that's going to add on to this current game.

33:54Mitch:The point of destiny.

33:55I guess. So yeah, but you know it's a really solid basis for it. There's a lot of news about Microsoft's production history for this game and that's kind of wacko. You can Google it if you really care. But hopefully they kind of got a grip on it now because it's a solid game and it's a lot of fun . I'd be interested to see how it ends. I'm definitely going to play it to completion and then see how it ends and what the future for it looks like.

34:22Mitch:play it to completion and then see how it ends and what the future for it looks like.

34:25I'm glad this is a return to form pretty much for Halo, because 4 and 5, not good, I mean for all the games that have come out these past couple years, these AAA games. This is the most solid AAA game that I've ever played in probably two or three years.

34:38Mitch:I do miss the days of playing Halo 1, 2, and 3, though yeah, they were fun and being excited to play the campaign Just because it's like I've got to know where we're at now.

34:48When co-op comes out for this campaign in, I think, May. That'll be a lot of fun. We should do some videos and stuff for it. Okay, that's my review. Let's talk about my news. Guess which superhero is getting a video game?

35:05Hayden:Wonder.

35:05Woman Okay.

35:06Hayden:Yes, I see all that stuff.

35:08Mitch:I was going to guess Squirrel Girl, but clearly I was wrong. Was that a trivia question?

35:11No, so she's getting a video game and it's done by the people who did Shadows of Mordor. Okay, so then they're going to use that dynamic.

35:21Mitch:That engine.

35:22Where, like, if there's bad guys that she has interactions with, you know, and she gets defeated by one, he'll like rise up in ranks. But then if you do interactions with good guys too, you can help like people rise up in ranks too, because there's like a war between both sides.

35:40Hayden:I'm assuming, is it going to be like the Greek gods that she's going against?

35:45Something about saving Amazon, so not the company, the country.

35:48Mitch:So it'll be something in Themyscira.

35:50Hayden:Yeah, I imagine she'll be battling Apollo and Zeus and all that trying to go on a hierarchy or something like that.

35:55Mitch:This is like the PG version of God of War.

35:58Hayden:Probably yeah.

36:04It was a really kind of like teaser-y the most teaser teaser you can get. It was just like a picture of her kind of yeah, you didn't even really see her and then like uh the w yeah, the w and then, and then, like the next year.

36:14Hayden:No, I don't even know if they have a like I know for, like dc the thin mascara wonder woman. Like they, they're over the gate to Hades. So I wonder if maybe he's trying to break out.

36:26Mitch:No idea they did that on the TV show.

36:30That was a great episode but, yeah, warner Brothers is the people giving the money for it, so hopefully they stay out of the production Because there's a lot of that going on with video games right now. People who are funneling the money are like no, you do it this way.

36:46Mitch:As long as it doesn't pan out like Marvel's Avengers game.

36:49Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm surprised that game's still going. That was bad Is it.

36:53Hayden:Yep, they added Spider-Man to it now, oh God.

36:55All right, if you have PS5. Trivia, christmas trivia. We're doing Christmas movie trivia, but you have to guess which Christmas movie. This is based off the song you hear.

37:09Mitch:Ooh.

37:10Okay, now remember, you get one guess. We're starting this new rule. You get one guess, so if you fail your guess, you can't guess again or yell anything else out until the next guy guesses.

37:20Mitch:Are we calling this like the Hayden rule? That's fine you can blame it all on me, all right. It's like the melbourne rule, for like football in the 70s there are very.

37:28There are some really obscure christmas movies, uh, that you probably wouldn't recognize the uh the music from, and I have some follow-up clips of like dialogue. Okay, so if we don't get that, if you don't nail down the movie , we'll move on to dialogue.

37:45Hayden:Okay.

37:45All right ready.

37:50Mitch:A Christmas story.

37:52You got it, Tom.

37:54Mitch:I've watched that movie every year at eight o'clock on TVS.

37:58Hayden:I have too, but I couldn't tell from just a couple of ding-dongs, it's like your generic Christmas song.

38:06Mitch:It's a great movie, shut up.

38:08That's when.

38:09Mitch:Christmas officially starts at the Reynolds household .

38:11What's your favorite part of that movie?

38:14Mitch:You shoot your eye out, kid.

38:18Hayden:Puts on the bunny suit. Do you know?

38:20Mitch:where he heard it, probably from his father. No, he puts on the bunny suit. Do you know where he heard it? Probably from his father?

38:29Hayden:No, he heard it from your son. What, what Mom? It looks like a pink nightmare that movie gets better every year.

38:35Am.

38:48Mitch:I supposed to guess something, yeah.

38:53Oh, I'm on the next movie Go ahead.

38:57Mitch:I mean, that's like every Christmas movie.

39:00Hayden:Christmas Vacation.

39:02Wrong, wrong. Now, alright, I'll move it to the scene.

39:11Hayden:Do you get to watch it? I need you to guess.

39:17Mitch:What's the problem with these Christmas movies? There's so many where the Come on Miracle on 34th Street.

39:30Did you get the slow buzzer Mitch?

39:32Hayden:No, I'd already guessed I had to wait for him.

39:36Why you shouldn't have guessed, wizard of Oz, that's not a Christmas movie.

39:39Hayden:It comes on all the time at Christmas. Yeah, but it's not a Christmas movie. Go ahead, wizard of Oz. Wrong, why would that be? That's?

39:42Mitch:not a Christmas movie , it comes out all the time at Christmas. Yeah, but it's not a Christmas movie. Go ahead. No, I didn't, I'm going to skip .

39:57Hayden:Lisa, do you really like this leg? I mean, you weren't just putting on an act back in the store, were you? No, this is going to be the best.

40:13Mitch:Christmas in the history of the world. Can I guess again? I will forfeit my guess to go back to Mitch, because I have no idea, babes in Toyland.

40:17Yeah, Mitch.

40:18Hayden:What was it Babes in Toyland?

40:19Okay, did you recognize anybody's voice in that?

40:21Mitch:No, Never heard of that movie ever in my life.

40:24It has, Keanu Reeves oh he is.

40:26Hayden:Yeah, I didn't even realize that.

40:28And what's her name?

40:29Hayden:Like when they were young.

40:32Drew Barrymore.

40:33Hayden:Like before, bill and Ted and all that.

40:35Mitch:Oh God, I'm not watching that, I didn't know Drew Barry in it either.

40:40Yeah, all right, here we go. Charlie Brown Christmas you got it, Tom All I heard was two dings. The saddest song.

40:51Mitch:I spent 28 years of my life watching these every year.

40:55Christmas time.

40:58Mitch:All right ready. Yeah, yes, that's a lot better now.

41:17All right, sorry, here we go.

42:19Hayden:Got it, Mitch alright ready. Yeah.

42:42We tied it up, crap, alright, this one's going to be a tough one.

42:53Mitch:This is a Christmas movie. Or is this the Godfather? This is a Christmas movie.

43:01I don't know why it's cutting in and out like that. Every girl is like Come on, I know this one, I don't know. Alright, I'll move to the scene .

43:19Mitch:Yeah, move to the scene.

43:19Hayden:I'm trying to the scene. Yeah, move to the scene. Trying to think.

43:28Mitch:Right fine, thank you , sorry to disturb. Yeah, I'll.

43:38Mitch:Love. Actually you got it, Whoa.

43:43Thank you, girl, I did it in college, all right.

43:50Mitch:That wasn't a bad movie, it was a good movie. It sounds familiar. Go ahead, the Santa Claus no.

44:19Hayden:What? Why does it sound so familiar? This is a popular movie, isn't it?

44:36It's your guess. I would have thought you guys would have gotten this one and I didn't get a scene for it.

44:42Mitch:It does sound super familiar.

44:48Hayden:Christmas Carol.

44:50No, not just a Christmas Carol.

44:54Hayden:A Muppet Christmas Carol.

44:57You cheated.

44:58Mitch:Mitch, it's still a Christmas Carol. He fibbed, he broke the rule. I'm used to it. I'll give's still a Christmas carol, he fibbed.

45:02He broke the rule. I know I'm used to it. I'll give you both a point for that. He didn't even guess, I'll just negate the point. All right, no point for that, for a breach of etiquette, that's right.

45:14Hayden:I missed one word.

45:16Mitch:Deduct a point.

45:17Hayden:I missed one word out of all things.

45:46Can I?

45:51Mitch:not? Does Santa Claus no?

45:57Dan stop kissing the state club.

46:00Mitch:I'll skip ahead.

46:01Hayden:Kiss saves Christmas. What's this? The streets are lined with little bitches laughing, everybody seems so happy. A Nutcracker? I don't know the Nightmare Before Christmas.

46:10Mitch:Thank you, I've never seen that. I've never liked that movie.

46:12I've never watched it . Well, that's what you get for not liking that movie, Mitch. You lose a point.

46:16Hayden:He hates it too.

46:19Mitch:I don't get one either.

46:21Alright, yeah.

46:30Hayden:Go ahead, polar Express. I'm just thinking. I was like is it Polar Express? I was like that sounds too tongue-in-cheek. I'm just thinking some Christmas movie with a train.

46:40Mitch:Tom Hanks singing a lot, alright.

46:42I'm just thinking some Christmas movie with a train, tom Hanks singing a lot, all right, hot chocolate.

46:53Mitch:Santa Claus is coming to town. No, oh, you know Dash.

46:59Hayden:Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, yeah.

47:01Mitch:Should have waited like two seconds Crap. You know Dash All right.

47:09Hayden:Doesn't Santa take a little bit of that unhappiness away? Doesn't a smile on? Santa Claus is coming to town. You got it, Mitch. Mitch is in the lead.

47:16Shut up, shut up. All right, shout out, alright.

47:26Mitch:I love that movie.

47:33I love that movie too . That was actually the scene I was supposed to play the song. Oh well, you wouldn't guess the song anyways how do you know?

47:42Mitch:I know All right ready the Santa Claus Dang it. I was like I'm not going to get that.

48:38I'd be surprised if you guys got this.

48:44Hayden:I'd be surprised if you guys got this. I'm just thought. I guess maybe there's a movie called Noel.

48:54No.

48:55Mitch:Tom Scrooge no.

48:58I'll move to the scene for this one.

49:09Mitch:Clarence Clarence.

49:13Hayden:Help me. Clarence Is he Han. I've seen this movie, but I can't tell you the name of it, because I remember this scene.

49:21Get me back to my wife and kids. Help me Clarence, please.

49:26Hayden:Christmas Carol? No, I don't know that.

49:29Please, I want to live again. I want to live again.

49:35Mitch:It's a Wonderful Life .

49:36Yes, Good job Tom.

49:37Hayden:I want to live. I've seen this, I've heard those. I want to live.

49:40Mitch:I've seen it or something, I couldn't remember the name. It doesn't sound like a Fonda All right. Ready Christmas Vacation. Yes, let me play for you my scene real quick Is it the bit where he's stepping on the boards in the attic and he's getting hit in the face.

50:04Alright, that's not playing. I did the cat in the box. He shakes it.

50:09Mitch:She wrapped up her cat.

50:11Hayden:My present's leaking. I'm down by two.

50:16That's it, except for two bonus questions. Ooh, unfortunately for these I can only get scenes, so Ready, ready.

50:31Hayden:I can't believe you would do this on Christmas Eve.

51:41What year did it's a Wonderful Life come out.

51:44Hayden:I don't know 1960.

51:59Mitch:No 46.

52:01You got it, mitch, damn it. Mitch wins trivia.

52:03Mitch:The Christmas winner. Yes, this is not the spirit of Christmas. This is the spirit of bull in my apartment. I won.

52:15Hayden:Well, you know, Tom, seeing as how I got punished with the buttercream gang.

52:21Mitch:Well, I got to watch the Lollipop Guild movie. No, the Wizard of Oz spinoff.

52:24Hayden:No, you're going to watch the sequel. Oh no, there's a sequel. The Buttercream Gang in Secret of Treasure Mountain.

52:31Oh God, that sounds terrible.

52:33Hayden:I don't have a trailer for it, but I found it on IMDb.

52:37Mitch:Death, take me now.

52:42Hayden:It says, discovering part of an ancient Spanish treasure map, Young Eldon Flowers dreams of finding gold. He could be rich. He could also help Mr Graff who is about to lose his home.

52:50So it's the Goonies, but crappier.

52:52Mitch:This is weak Goonies with nobody prominent. Is this even available to find online?

53:00Hayden:I don't know. I watched the first one on YouTube, so I would imagine this one might be.

53:03Oh crap, it's your problem now, Tom. Well fought, gentlemen, but Mitch is the Christmas champion Jingling. That being said, we will be back with a special Christmas trivia episode where we only do trivia just because that's what everybody wants and we're going to do. We'll explain the rules later, but there will be roughly about five bouts of trivia to determine who's the ultimate loser. That's how we do this. We don't care about winners, we care about who loses, who's the crappiest we care about?

53:33Mitch:who gets punished on this?

53:34show.

53:34Hayden:That's right, so we'll be looking forward to that one.

53:37That'll be coming out . We'll be looking forward to that one That'll be coming out. We'll be recording next week and it'll come out probably the week later. Between now and Christmas sometime, and Christmas, all right, well, it's been fun. So was it. It was, it was fun for me. You're convoluted.

53:50Mitch:I had fun Shut up.

53:52Yeah, well, that's it for this week's episode, episode 87. Yes, and goodbye from. Mitch and Tom.

54:01Hayden:Goodbye, Bye.

54:02Mitch:Tom, shut up, shut up .
