0:00Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah , yeah, Do it, do it do it, press the button.

0:04Hayden:No, not that one. What's this one?

0:05No, not that one. No, not that one. It's from the same button, for. Oh, okay, that makes sense, you're a drunk.

0:25Hayden:It was lamer than you ever thought You're a drunk. Yeah, you're a drunk, it was lamer than you ever thought You're drunk. Yeah, you're an interesting Hello, welcome to Entertain Us. A podcast about movies, tv shows and video games. My name is Hayden. With me I have Mitch Hello, and Tom Hi, tom. This is episode 98.

0:43Mitch:Yep, because Hayden was insistent on him doing trivia for 100.

0:48Hayden:Yeah, so therefore, we have switched things around. I was supposed to do trivia today, but we were off number, because 90-some-odd numbers gets confusing. I don't know. I can't count that high. So Mitch is doing trivia and I will do trivia for episode 100. And 101. And 101. And I will do trivia for episode 100. And 101. And 101. I'm only worried about 100. Breaking that three-digit threshold. Anyways, let's do social media and I'll do my punishment review . Go ahead, mitch.

1:17Tom:Well.

1:22Mitch:You can go to entertainthispodcastcom, which will take you to entertain this Facebook group and page. It'll also take you to our Twitter, which is at thisentertain, or our Patreon, which is patreoncom. Entertain underscore this. Also. We have a TikTok and a YouTube, which both entertain underscore or no. Entertain exclamation point.

1:36Hayden:Almost flawless yeah almost If this was Eldreden Ring , you'd be dead.

1:40Mitch:Yes.

1:47Hayden:Wouldn't be. Yes, would be the first time, all right, uh, I watched a movie . It was called hawk the slayer and it is kind of like my shtick for corny movies like dang old, crappy uh. Fantasy, uh, sci-fi.

1:57It was 1980s um, like beast hunter or whatever.

2:00Hayden:Yeah, it's, it's stuff like that, like Red Sonja Conan kind of thing, but like even crappier. So it stars Jack Palance. What's his name? Yeah, jack.

2:12Mitch:Palance yeah that guy ?

2:13Hayden:Yeah, that guy, the dude from City Slickers. What's his name? From City Slickers?

2:16Curly Curly, not crappier than you.

2:21Hayden:And it stars. Let me pull up my notes here. And it stars. Let me pull up my notes here John Terry, I think is his name. Yeah, john Terry, that you know him from I don't know Lost. I know him from Lost. I think he was in the Living Daylights also, is there a picture of this man?

2:48Tom:Yeah.

2:48Hayden:Not on Wikipedia. He's not that great.

2:51Mitch:He was the old bald man on Lost, wasn't he? No?

2:54Hayden:Dr Christian Shepard from Lost no he's not in the Living Daily.

3:00Yeah, he is.

3:00Hayden:Felix Letter.

3:02Oh, that guy, that version of Light Hair, uh-huh of Light Hair.

3:05Hayden:Uh-huh Light Hair. So it was directed by Terry Marcel, who is probably most prominent legacy is his daughter , who had done a bunch of Disney movies. She wrote the redo of Lion King and some other things. So the seed is strong in that family, I guess. Anyways, uh, the movie is about , uh, the two warring brothers. Their father is, I don't know, a sorcerer or a king, I don't know, but he he dies by jack palance in the beginning he's a thing and uh, because he wants some sword, the chosen blade of whatever, and he won't give it to him because he's evil. And then John Terry comes in just inside to see his father be slain by his evil brother who is, frankly, looks older than his father. Like I read it on a trivia thing, jack Palance is actually

4:01Hayden:three years younger in real life than the guy who played his father and he kept saying like old woman for like guy who played his father and he kept saying like old woman for like things here and there, and then it's like some young person.

4:12This is one of the most miscasted movies. I've ever seen.

4:15Hayden:Man, sorry, but uh. So the sword he bequeaths to his honorable son, hawk the Slayer, and he goes on a revenge quest to go kill his brother who's like his name is what is his name? It's like Voltron, I'm not even kidding Voltor, voltan, voltan, that's been used.

4:41Isn't that the thing from Big Buckle?

4:43Hayden:up, Buckle up. There's a dwarf called Baldin and he's from Gimli of Iron Hills.

4:49Oh God, yeah, yeah, it made my brain hurt.

4:57Hayden:Anyway. So he goes on his revenge quest , jack Pounce Voltan. He goes and I don't know, bullies some nuns for some reason and then demands 2,000 pieces of gold for ransom for their abyss. And so they send a guy who gets the crap beat out of him. He gets stabbed probably like five times in this movie. This old man, he gets his hand cut off, but he's got this like magazine-loaded crossbow that just goes. It's basically like an AR-15, but for a crossbow.

5:33So it's like that thing from Van Helsing.

5:35Hayden:Yeah, it's stupid. And the way him and this other elf archer guy it's the last of the elves or whatever and whenever they shoot their stuff it does a jump cut of like resetting the previous, like bowstring reset in the, in the, in the device that they're shooting a bow and arrow and the crossbow, so it just looks like the. The movie skips when they're killing people. Uh, um, the, the, the sound effects are hilarious. It sounds like whenever there's a sword fight, somebody's just shaking the crap out of a chain link fence, or there's a raging fire and it sounds like somebody was just turning gravel in a barrel. Or whenever an arrow swooshes by, it sounds like somebody's just like I don't know.

6:17Hayden:It sounds almost like Star Wars sound effects. It's like meow. It has really cheesy sound effects. The setting's like they're either in an old church or in the woods and there's like just dead bodies everywhere. For some reason it's very much reminiscent of like Conan, Like you don't know why. Things are all weird and cryptic. They are, it's just that.

6:38Mitch:They're trying to build something here.

6:40Hayden:Anyway, the Hawk gets recruited by the Abbey, the nuns, to rescue their lady that was abducted by Voltan, and he goes and gets his friends, which is the giant who's maybe like a seven-foot tall guy, that's? pretty good, yeah. And then the dwarf who is like I don't know, maybe like a five-foot tall guy and then like an elf, elf, which is a really weird looking dude with big ears , uh, and he says like four lines you know, it's almost like legolas, but like special needs legolas. Yeah, because he would say something cryptic like horse arrives, one rider. And then they'd be like, oh okay, let's just go to the front . You know like, yeah, there he is. You know, you just interrupt conversations that way.

7:26Hayden:Um, they all fight and, uh, they have a hilarious little sword fight at the end and hawk wins, saves the day, and that's the end. That jack palance dies until he's resurrected at the end for the sequel which is coming out maybe next year I'm not even kidding.

7:46Seriously.

7:48Tom:Jack Pounce is dead. Who's going to play him? I don't know.

7:53Hayden:I reviewed the notes. They actually have a comic book that just came out in 2016. It just came out in accordance to a 1980 show. That's pretty recent to a movie . Just came out in accordance to a 1980 show that's pretty recent , uh, to a movie and uh. So this comic book is, like the, the groundwork for the sequel they were going to do a tv show about a prequel that talks about the brother's relationship and there's a little bit of backstory. We're like there's a woman, of course, and they were both in love with her, but she chose the honorable guy and jack pounce his character, got jealous and killed her. He's so evil. But you know, the guy who created it, Terry, whatever he wants to do a sequel really bad and they're trying really hard

8:37Hayden:to push forward to it. He actually started a Kickstarter in 2015 or 14, and he needed $5 million and he couldn't even get it. So but there is apparently a pretty substantial cult following um, you know a lot of these old movies.

8:52Have it. Yeah, kota, beast master uh they're firelander was probably the most successful of this kind of branch.

8:59Hayden:Well, highlander one is good. I watched the trilogy. The sequels are just awful, just despicable Anyways. So there's some potential. I don't think that if they keep it in the same corny vibe and it's just as stupid as the last movie I would enjoy it. But if it says they try to do a Jason Momoa Conan reboot kind of thing, no, I'm not in game for that. You don't want to make it serious. If they try to do like a Jason Momoa Conan reboot kind of thing , you know, no, I'm not in game for that. You don't want to make it serious. No, no, it's got to be. Well, they were taking themselves seriously. That's why it was so great, you know. So I read some trivia. Jack Palance actually got stabbed making this movie and he

9:36Hayden:refused to like not finish his shots and stuff like that. It's like you've been stabbed.

9:40He's like I'm finishing this. Yeah, yeah, I need the money.

9:43Hayden:I mean, could you imagine being stabbed and being so dedicated to your craft that you're going to finish your shots?

9:48And I mean Teddy Roosevelt, got shot in the chest while giving a speech and he was president.

9:53Hayden:He was president, that's understandable. You're Jack pallets as an actor in this crappy movie that nobody's ever going to see, I would go to the hospital.

10:02I would take a month off.

10:04Hayden:That's why you're not an actor? I guess not. You don't have the drive, I guess not, especially if I got stabbed for some stupid movie. Their swords were all real. That was the funny part. I never saw floppy like you see in some Viking shows or whatever like fake swords that are obvious. They were all real. So I was like this was definitely before.

10:27Were the rings looking real?

10:29Hayden:No, I mean, they weren't like pretty swords. The Chosen Blade was literally a hilt with a hand holding a glowing orb.

10:37And you know what that?

10:37Hayden:sword did. It levitated up off the ground so you could pick it up. That's the Chosen Blade's power .

10:45It was a lazy man's weapon. I can't be, bothered to pick that up this is the sword for me .

10:51Hayden:Yeah, yeah, I was like yeah that's a pretty cool gimmick there, but whatever, um, yeah, I I give it a five out of ten just because I actually enjoyed the movie. It is my kind of cup of tea when it comes to stupid lazy fantasy movies. Did you watch it with your kids ? No no, no, they wouldn't tolerate it for 10 minutes of it .

11:11They're like this isn't Paw Patrol, this isn't Harry Potter.

11:14Hayden:It definitely has a lot of Excalibur.

11:16Yeah, but.

11:17Hayden:Excalibur was a good movie, right, but there's a lot of opening scrawl of like this is what's going on, and I'm a proper British narrator. I'm going to talk about this for 30 minutes and you're like I don't care, I want to see people die already. Move on.

11:29In a time unremembered. Now, yeah, stuff like that.

11:32Mitch:Unfortunately that was not a good punishment then. Well, you know, you picked the right guy for it.

11:37Hayden:Like I said, that's my thing, that and old, crappy. I thought it was sci-fi just from the trailer, because there was stupid stuff going on like spells and whatnot Was.

11:46Brian Blessed in it. I don't know, that would have made it perfect. Yeah, just so you could hear Gordon's alive.

11:55Hayden:No, yeah, that's it. So there you go, five out of ten. Okay Movies. I had TV. Who had movies?

12:03Mitch:Oh, I thought I had TV, did I had TV, I had movies. Oh, I thought.

12:05Hayden:I had TV, did you really? I had games. I said TV, let me pull up the. Go ahead, tom.

12:10Go with games first, while I embarrass Mitch All right, well, tainted, hang on, let me get this correct. Tainted Grail Conquest, uh-huh, made by Awaken Realms Digital. So it's apparently a roguelite video game, is what they characterize it as with RPG elements and deck building. So basically it's a cheesy kind of World of Warcraft kind of game. You know there's multiple characters you can pick, but you end up starting as like the one that you can only get and as you go through multiple playthroughs you unlock the rest . What's going on here? Who's right, who's wrong?

12:55Hayden:I need to know.

12:59Mitch:You even say I'll do a movie.

13:01You can read it more, Mitch, but the words aren't going to change.

13:02Mitch:I couldn't see with the glare. Look at there. I don't have movie news, but I can review a movie now okay, we'll just do two tvs I guess.

13:08So the game it's deck building which sucks, so it's open world like world of warcraft not that grand of a scale, it's like it's a. You follow the story of this dopey path like you start in your little town. Of course it gets attacked, and then as you fight people, like the cards pop up and you have to choose and then you give it to them to their turn okay, then I guess, as you keep playing along , you get better cards, or?

13:34Hayden:ultimates. So the problem with card video games is that they can make them as complicated as they want to, because the rules are already like automatically generated you know, and, like Gwent from the Witcher, people obsess over that game. I don't like card games for video games.

13:55I want a video game. I don't want a video card game.

13:58Hayden:Are you that antisocial that you can't play a card game with somebody in real life?

14:01Mitch:I know.

14:03Hayden:So anyways, are the rules super complicated for this game.

14:07No, I mean you can kind of button match away. Because I was listening to the explanation I was like I don't care and I just started picking cards and I started doing damage and then I hit block on one of them and then the guy swung and it did the block and I was like, oh, but you only get like three plays for a turn and then it goes to them. Okay, did you use your blue eyes? No, I didn't have it.

14:28Hayden:I had my dark magician though.

14:30Okay.

14:31Hayden:Not my blue eyes, not my blue eyes.

14:35The graphics, eh yeah , it's not bad. It's not great, but apparently this game had like a big attraction when it came out on Steam.

14:45Hayden:So it's like just made it to consoles.

14:47It's an adventure game that's card-based, that's like kind of open world or third person, but not.

14:54Hayden:This is when I cut to see where two people are like sworn to avenge their fathers against each other Flip the cards. They whip the decks out, they just start going crazy. It's the heart of the cards. They whip the decks out, they just start going crazy. It's the heart of the cards.

15:07So I mean, it's a generic story pretty much, and like you start and like you can pick your character and there's just the one you can pick, but there's like 20 people standing there and it's like locked, locked, locked and it's not, you know, premium content. It's like've got to go through and unlock it on a playthrough and then you can restart the game as them and do the same crap over and over. Meh, yeah, I was like meh, I'd rather just give you coins and I get to unlock everybody and play as that cool-looking dude.

15:36Hayden:Right, but it's on Game Pass.

15:37It's Game Pass.

15:38Hayden:It's free If it's your thing, if you like doing it . We had some listeners message us about Magic.

15:46The Gathering.

15:47Hayden:Yeah, what was his question about that? Do you remember? I?

15:51Mitch:don't remember. It's been a while.

15:52Hayden:Yeah, he had some interesting questions about Magic the Gathering and I just don't care enough about that game. I don't even like the actual card game that much, but my friends obsess over it and I have connections to get those cards for a lot of people, so I don't know how I've just kind of fallen into the throes of this game that I don't really care about.

16:14Mitch:I played the mobile version of it a bit.

16:16Hayden:It's fun.

16:17Mitch:when you have nothing else to do, you sit around and play.

16:19I don't know If I'm playing a card game. I'd rather play with physical cards in my hand with people.

16:23Mitch:Yeah, that costs a lot of money.

16:25Hayden:It does it does cost a lot of money.

16:27So what would you rate the game, Tom I?

16:30Tom:mean.

16:30I guess I'd give it probably 6 out of 10.

16:33Tom:Okay.

16:34Hayden:So if it wasn't cards , who would go up higher?

16:37Tom:Eh, still don't have a great story, no.

16:41Okay, the graphics and the combat.

16:43Hayden:It's hard to review something that you don't care about. You know, Because I was like, oh, what's this?

16:48I was new on Game Pass and I was like, oh, I'll check this out. I was like, oh, I had a big following on Steam when it came out and I was like, oh, okay, I'll play this.

17:01Hayden:And I was like man, this game sucks't know.

17:03I mean, I guess, to people who really enjoy that kind of thing, it might be there . This is probably an amazing game to them. So yeah but it's not my cup of tea. I understand or my mug of beer. Okay.

17:15Hayden:What news so?

17:17the NFL is teaming up for a VR game title. Yes, okay, you get to tackle somebody with a VR headset on.

17:27Hayden:That's what I'm worried about.

17:27It's like promising to embed fans in gridiron action like never before, and I'm like I'm not playing VR if I'm getting tackled by some dude who's all pro and outweighs me by 130 pounds.

17:38Mitch:You're going to have to sign a waiver. They're not liable for the injuries for when you dive into a wall.

17:42Yeah, or I get CTE like you know, two games you know, two hours into it.

17:48Hayden:Yeah, you can't take the headset off, so you just start living the life.

17:50You become a drug addict, your wife leaves you, I played two Super Bowls I played for 10 years, my knee goes out and then, a year later, I'm living it out of my car.

17:59Hayden:You get crap for kneeling or for not kneeling during the national anthem.

18:07You get crap for playing or not. It's like well, in the NFL it's like bliss.

18:12Hayden:Then you take your headset off when you beat the game.

18:15Your nose is broken.

18:16Hayden:Six of your teeth are missing. Well, time to go to work.

18:23That was fun. So there's that coming up. I don't know why anybody would want to play that. I don't want to get hit. But there's other news. The Witcher 4? Yeah, they've been talking about it. So apparently there is the fourth game and they put out that cryptic medallion in the snow, which they confirmed is a Lynx, which is supposed to be the school of the Lynx, which hasn't been in any of the books or any of the games.

18:48Hayden:There are other schools confirmed in the books that are talked about, but only the Wolf one is the one of any concern. Because it's Geralt. That's all everybody cares about, so is it going to be like a spinoff, or is Geralt going to be in it? They are playing it very close to the vest, okay, so it's probably going to be a spinoff.

19:07Mitch:I did hear rumors that there's a possibility that Ciri would be the main character .

19:10That's what I heard, but isn't she just one of the school of cats?

19:13Hayden:No, she's from the wolf Because. I thought she had the cat medallion. I'll just say no, she has the wolf medallion. Well, when in some versions but I'll say this at the end of the series, um, and of the books and I'm sure the show, uh siri kind of becomes, she gets pulled away from the witcher stuff. So I don't see how she would be back involved in that.

19:39Mitch:So I don't know, that's just something I saw that I read and then ghostbusters Unleashed is a new 4v1 multiplayer game by Illphonic.

19:48I don't know who that is Me either. Okay, but apparently the guy who played Zedimor is going to do his voiceover for it.

19:59Mitch:Who's Zedimor?

20:01Winston Zedimor.

20:02Mitch:Oh, okay, the.

20:03Ghostbuster.

20:03Hayden:Oh yeah, Winston.

20:04Okay, and then Dan Aykroyd, really, but apparently they've been having problems doing the 3D model for Zeddemore . He's like they keep sending it to me and I just go. No, I look like Eddie Murphy. He's like you got everybody else right, how come we can't get mine right? racists so apparently it's a one versus four, where you attempt to catch ghosts before they can infect or haunt an entire area and one person places the ghost and like, can summon minions and tackle people. But you could play as ghostbusters and they're customizable. You can upgrade stuff, upgrade ghosts, do the whole thing okay interesting. Well, yeah, it's supposed to be coming out the fourth quarter of 2022. So, yeah, maybe, I don't know it's oh, it's gonna to be coming

20:45out the fourth quarter of 2022, so maybe I don't know it's going to fill empty slots with bots online.

20:50Hayden:Ugh. So it's kind of like that what's that Michael Myers game? I?

20:56Mitch:forgot what it was called.

20:58Hayden:Oh, I know what you're talking about.

21:00Mitch:Yeah, I know what you're talking about, I just can't remember the name of it.

21:02Hayden:Yeah, so it reminds me of that. You know which I kind of didn't care about?

21:08I mean, I don't really care about a Ghostbusters game.

21:12Hayden:Yeah, If I were to make it it wouldn't be that way, you know. But I don't make video games, so what do I know?

21:18We just play them and review them on our weekly podcast, that's right.

21:23Hayden:Okay On our weekly podcast, that's right.

21:26Mitch:Okay, moving on, I'll do TV. See if I have the same one.

21:28Hayden:Okay, that'd be amazing. Last Kingdom no.

21:31Okay, good you should have said yes, this is so well-planned out podcast that we bring to you.

21:37Mitch:I mean, I could do a movie. I've seen several movies.

21:41Hayden:I mean, I guess you could review a movie.

21:42Mitch:Just have double TV news.

21:44Hayden:Um, so the last kingdom uh, is it finished its run on? Uh, netflix the final season and everything, and I watched it to completion. I've watched all five seasons and I gotta say, as far as I guess you could call it a Viking show, it's more of like a kingdom building show between, uh, the Saxons and Wessex and all that and Northumbria with the Danes. So it's more political than I would just say bloodlust, vikings killing for no reason. But if you want to label it a Viking show, it is the best Viking show ever. Yeah, is it? Now it is, and the reason why is it's not just a good Viking show, it's a great show in general when this show started its first season back in like 2016.

22:30Mitch:The king was a guy with the long brown hair that looks kind of like Orlando Bloom .

22:34Hayden:Yeah, uhtred, son of Uhtred, of Bebbanbeg, also son of Uhtred. Yeah, but I'm talking about the recent season that just came out.

22:45Mitch:Oh, there's a new one . Yes, I didn't know that.

22:46Hayden:Relax Mitch. Oh, we can review seasons.

22:49Why not? Season two is supernatural. We've done it, no.

22:55Hayden:So it's cutting-edge news reviews because it just came out. So, anyways, and I want to, but when the show started it was on such a shoestring budget. It was obvious. But they did it really smart because they talked more. When they do their combat mechanics it's more about like duos and trios and how they would fight together as like not bandits but more like skirmishes and stuff like that in the early days. And yeah, like the costumes were kind of weak looking and dopey and the swords were kind of weak looking and dopey and the swords were kind of goofy looking and whatever. But like the acting was quality and the set designs were conservative. I guess you could say Based on their monetary allotments, yeah,

23:36Hayden:but I mean it was like trees. I think it's pre-900s. When was England unified? Tom, your wealth of?

23:48Mitch:What was your home country unified.

23:49That wasn't until far , far later.

23:51Hayden:So well, not including Scotland, but anyways, it's mostly about Northumbria, wessex and the Saxon realm, which is what Winchester and stuff like that, something like that. This is after the Saxon realm, which is what Winchester and stuff like that. Something like that. So this is after the Saxon invasion, yeah, and then seeing it grow from season one to season five where now, like in season three, they start to have actual front-on-front conflicts and they'll do like an Anglo-Saxon evolution of the Roman phalanx and stuff like that, and to see how the shield wall evolves, what they have, more advanced archery and things like that and the siege warfare . And by the time season five comes and goes, it's like

24:35Hayden:full-blown Netflix money and it's really well done and you know how the church and politics and stuff like that gets involved. And the story of Uhtred, who was born a Saxon, abducted by Danes and raised as a Viking and then comes back to claim his land of Bebbanburg after his father was killed and taken over by his cousin or something like that, but it won't give it to him, even though he's the Rightful heir. Right, it's his birthright, but he keeps doing so many favors for the king, which at first is Alfred and then his son Edward, throughout the five seasons. And to see how dependent they were on somebody who starts off as a very scrappy fighter and then ends up becoming a legendary fighter, a warrior.

25:26Hayden:Everywhere he goes. People just have to give him respect because of the accomplishments that he's done. It's really good character development you feel like he's definitely accomplished a lot of things and the way people treat him and talk to him as the show evolves, it's very natural and solid in how it feels about them .

25:44Was this the one that had Mark Hamill in it? No, that's Nightfall.

25:48Hayden:There's not very much Crusade stuff in this, it's more just about. This is before the Crusades. Yeah, this is more just world building and kingdom building, like I said, but it is very fascinating. There's no tributeshades, nothing crazy, it's just conflicts and stuff like that. I really enjoyed it. I give it a 9 out of 10. Um, you know, if it had that netflix money from day one, it probably could have been a little bit better, but you know that they uh. There's no plot armor like you think important characters are going to be around for the entirety, besides the main character. You think the important characters are going to be around for the entirety, and that's not character. You think the important character is going to be around

26:25Hayden:for the entirety, and that's not the case. And even the crap that the main character goes through. You wouldn't think that they would have written it that way, but it's pretty awesome, great show. I highly enjoyed it and I recommend it. So if you're into that kind of stuff, all right, let's move on to news. Tom, I have news for you, and Mitch, I have news for you. Ooh, tom, hey, you like the show Bosh, right? Yes, and you knew about the sequel coming out called Bosch Legacy. I had heard about it, but I don't know anything about it. May 1st is when it comes out. I don't know anything about it, but I guess they're just continuing on with the same guy.

27:03Titus Wohler yeah, the man who does the greatest Al Pacino and Christopher Walken impression ever.

27:08Hayden:I know very little about Bosch, but I know that they're just moving on with a whole new show. It's like it never ended, I guess, as far as I can tell.

27:16I know Bosch is based on novels, so unless they're just kind of going on their, I guess I don't know their own fun-filled adventure. But then again, they adapted it for modern days.

27:24Hayden:I know it's got some new supporting cast and stuff like that, but it's already been shot and you know May 1st is when it comes out.

27:31Tom:So there you go.

27:32Hayden:I know you like Anne Rice novels. What was it? Witching Hour, but it's actually going to be called Witching the Stone. No, it's called.

27:47Tom:License to Witch.

27:50Mitch:Mayfair Witches is the show that's coming out, and it is starring Alexandra Daddariodario, which most uh you know, this girl oh yeah, she was in the baywatch movie yeah, miss buggy eyes.

28:07Hayden:Most people are like how come you didn't cast her in the vampire show? She looks like a vampire with the my balls, but I'm sure she'll be talented in this role, and you it going to be AMC also ? Yes, AMC it is going to come out along with the interview with the vampire show.

28:24Mitch:I know for the books they coincide, but they don't really cross very much. I think maybe one or two books they do.

28:31Hayden:Oh really, yeah, there's apparently a lot of books 18 novels in total.

28:37Mitch:I mean, she's been writing these since the I think, early 80s, yeah, so uh.

28:41Hayden:So there's uh lots of , lots of backstory it. You know I would be overwhelmed if I was a showrunner in this kind of mess just to have so much lore and stuff to figure out how to tap, because you know any season could be your last season, especially the first season. So who knows? There you go, that's some other TV news, and then I have oh yeah, who played? You saw Vampire Diaries, right?

29:12Mitch:Yeah, Paul Wesley.

29:13Hayden:Okay, cast as Kirk. Yeah, okay, in the new Star Trek show coming out, strange New Worlds. He's going to be season two, I believe.

29:21Mitch:Okay, I know he was in it, but he wasn't the main character.

29:23Hayden:Yeah, and if you know anything about Star Trek, the Kirk era, the original series is obviously where it starts with him, but the pilot was Christopher. Pike was the original pilot or the captain of the Enterprise before Kirk came on and Strange New Worlds is about Pike and you know, kind of foreshadow in Discovery. Even if you want to go in this alternate timeline, whatever craziness that every show has to have nowadays, the alternate timeline for Pike still involved is inevitable. I wouldn't say death, but like he becomes an invalid with a beeping light to communicate in his chair, that's all he can have, like two beeps for yes, one for no or whatever. So, he doesn't have, like the hawking voice.

30:11No, he's not going. Hello, I'm Arnold Poe.

30:15Tom:No it's a beeping light.

30:16Hayden:That's all he can come up with in the year 2300. It's ridiculous, I know.

30:23Mitch:Why did he insult Super Genius on the program?

30:25What he?

30:26Mitch:doesn't listen.

30:27Hayden:Don't we know Talking ? He's dead.

30:30Tom:Yeah, see.

30:34Hayden:I actually read other news, by the way, anyways. So if they're going to go that way and they're bringing in a new Kirk from the get-go, it's not looking good for Anson Mount's Pike. But I hope not, because I hope that they I don't know magic timeline some stuff out of it, because I think he's a great Pike and I'd be interested I don't know if Strange New World has come out yet or not for the first season.

30:56Mitch:I think soon.

30:58Hayden:I'm still trying to get through Next Generation. Yeah, next Generation is great and Strange. New World is supposed to be what's called procedural or episodic, as less, more of this overarching serial timeline where you know Each episode new problems, right, yes, which I'm interested to see, if, if they can, if they do it that way or not, but nobody knows, because unless you're like the chosen few, you haven't seen it yet. Engage, yeah, number one. There you go. There's my tv news and reviews. Guess what go?

31:31Mitch:on. I'll include my tv news with yours, all right, um, kirk was going to be one of the things. Let's see what else did I have? I had and the CW. They're going to have that Gotham Knights I talked about. They're taking Misha Collins. He'll be the Two-Face for that world.

31:48Castiel, is he going to wear a trench coat? Probably.

31:51Mitch:He might, I don't know. He'll be taking the role of Harvey Dent. This has nothing to do with the Batman movie, does it? No, this is the CW era he's going to be.

32:02Harvey Dent. I want Jensen and Jared to just play henchmen and just nobody acknowledge it.

32:06Mitch:Well, there is a rumor that Jensen Ackles is up for some kind of CW Batman-related content. Well, it says DC-related content. He won won't say it, but a lot of people are assuming that they're thinking about doing a batman tv show, like they did, uh, the superman and lois tv show. Since, uh, it's been more popular, they're actually gonna let batman be a tv show once again batman and batman.

32:31Hayden:Just a show about batman batman I'd be interested to see jensen ackles more back to the paper.

32:38Mitch:And then next is the Disney's gonna have a Nova series, which is the Richard Rider, the Nova Corps from Marvel.

32:47You saw Bruce Lee in that one movie, in Guardians of the Galaxy.

32:50Mitch:Yeah, this is the actual character, other than just them wearing a little badge that says Nova Corps. But basically he's almost like the Green Lantern, except for he doesn't have the same powers, but it's like a space police force.

33:04Hayden:Almost like the Green Lantern Same but different.

33:07Mitch:But yeah, it says Marvel is continuing down a cosmic path, which is the development of a Nova series. According to Deadline, Marvel is teaming with Moon Knight. Scribe Sabir Prezada for the project it. According to Deadline, Marvel is teaming with Moon Knight scribe Sabir Prezada for the project. It doesn't know if it'll be a film or television series at the moment, but they're making that .

33:23Hayden:Interesting.

33:25Mitch:Well, that's my news.

33:27Hayden:Well, what show did you watch?

33:31Mitch:All of us are dead.

33:32Hayden:Okay, are they all dead? A comedy.

33:36Mitch:Well, it's about a bunch of zombies, because it's almost like an anime high school of the dead, but they made it live action.

33:43Hayden:Okay.

33:44Mitch:Because all these kids are in this high school and one of the teachers for reasons I can't disclose because that will ruin the surprise, but he's working on this cure for a zombie outbreak and creates a school full of zombies.

33:58Hayden:Oh no.

33:59Mitch:And they spread fast and they run and they chase after you.

34:02Hayden:So it's a zombie show , yeah, pretty much.

34:04Mitch:But it's got like the , it's made the South Korean kind of film, so it's kind of got the cheesy humor that they have.

34:11Hayden:Oh, so it's. What is that South Korean zombie show before this one?

34:17Mitch:The Kingdom.

34:17Hayden:Yeah, is it kind of from the same people? It's kind of like that yeah, it takes itself very seriously.

34:23Mitch:Yes, it does Very serious, real problems.

34:25Things are happening.

34:26Mitch:But some of the characters, they just have that cheesy humor where you think things are funny. Some of that's not that great. They actually have some kind of disturbing problems, Like this one girl like in the very first episode. She's poor but she's going to this prep school because, for whatever reason, she got into it . Well, one of the bullies, one of the guys like makes her undress and take pictures of her and puts them on the internet. Wow, so, so then she wants to kill herself. Well then, like the zombie stuff ensues and she gets bit and she jumps off the top and kills herself. But then she comes back, but like a certain select few zombies they come back like just like their normal self, but

35:06Mitch:they're like stronger and they can bite you and still infect you, but they can still think, they can still move and, of course, the bully is one of them . Okay, he's like chasing after this like group of like ten other people that are trying to survive, and you have one girl that's just because she doesn't like the people before the zombie apocalypse. She's vindictive and like tricks them into dying Like she tricks them into like locking them out of a door or whatever stuff like that.

35:30Hayden:So the smart zombies, they're evil now, yeah, okay, yeah, because they're hungry, they want to feed Hungry.

35:37Mitch:Give them guts, then eventually Choke on it. Well, the very first zombie person that they catch, they secure them down time in the bed . Well then they get shipped off to the hospital. So essentially, the whole city goes up.

35:51Tom:Yeah.

35:52Mitch:The government's supposed to come in to save them . They refuse to save them because they realize they can't identify who's infected and who's not anymore.

35:58Hayden:Well, is it a good show?

36:00Mitch:It was a lot better than I thought it would, be just because I'm not a big fan of the dubbed South Korean films, but this one didn't really focus . There was so much going on that you couldn't just focus on the words not matching the mouths Just imagine. So far it's got one season it's got. It was 12 episodes. They're each an hour long, but it was. It was actually interesting, fun to watch, just because you know it's chaos, you know kids running, but it was pretty, it was pretty good. I'd probably give it a, a seven out of 10.

36:32Hayden:Yeah, the dub stuff, yeah, but it was good you watched it all the way to the end, yeah, and is it going to have a second season?

36:39Mitch:Yeah, yeah, unless they just don't get the money.

36:41Hayden:Yeah, but yeah, it's set up for a second season Okay. It's described as an action drama, fantasy. Well, did you watch a movie?

36:53Mitch:by any chance. I did what movie? The Adam Project Okay.

36:55Hayden:did what movie the adam project okay you kind of gave a quick review on that last go around we're gonna expand into it.

37:00Mitch:All right, um, in the adam project. Basically, you have ryan reynolds, which I forgot his name is other than adam, yeah it's adam something, but he uh, adam project it's got. It's got ryan reynolds I don't know the kid's name and then it's got jennifer garner and mark ruffalo okay and I was in 50 or inst or 40-Year-Old Virgin . What's that girl's name that Steve Carell hooks up with? Do you know what the actor's name?

37:23Hayden:is At the end. Yeah, that he marries. Yeah, I don't know.

37:27Mitch:She's like the villain of this movie. Well, she's like some kind of corporate person that's like manipulating things, essentially Ryan Reynolds' character. His dad develops basically time travel and this girl from 40-year-old Virgin she's going back in time to manipulate it to where she gets all the credit for it. Okay, and Adam has to come back in time to stop that from happening. But then something happens he gets knocked out of the time he was trying to go to and ends up like when he's a 12 year old. So he's arguing with his 12 year old self.

38:05Hayden:It's like Looper or the other, bruce Willis the kid. And then what's the other one? Well, there's a Back to the Future aspect where Marty meets his older self. Your kid's Marty. It's got Zoe Zaldana in it.

38:23Tom:Oh yeah.

38:24Yeah, that's his wife .

38:25Hayden:Nice.

38:25Mitch:She. Well, I don't want to reveal all that, because that will spoil some surprises she's an alien. Ryan Reynolds. His kid starts going through his bag and stuff because he comes back. His plane was shot as he was coming back in time, so he's like trying to nip over to hit the couch and stuff. He's like the kid's like how did you know how to get in here? He keeps doing a bunch of stuff and you're like it's kind of obvious. But he's opening the garage door with the passcode and he's going to the one box that has everything in it that he would need and the kid's just kind of like freaked out, like how does he know this? And then he calls it by his name. But the kid starts ruffling through his bag and pulls out

39:02Mitch:this like stick and Ron Rose is like don't touch that. He's like what is it? He goes the kid's like is this a lightsaber? He's like no, those aren't a real thing.

39:20Hayden:And then later on some guys show up. Come on. He's like so everyone, you hit them with it. They vaporize instead of just get cut. Okay, but that's a better lightsaber.

39:23Mitch:It was pretty funny. Uh, there's reasons they they could have give a good reason for, like the kid have to having to be part of the uh the, the journey that ryan reels has to go through like his uh, his ship can only go through his dna but because he's been shot, his blood's infected so for whatever reason, that messes up his DNA a little bit to where he can't access his ship. So that's why the kid has to come along a lot of devices but it does good as far as little quirks and stuff to make it fun. It's a good older child movie.

39:53Hayden:Kids can watch it and stuff maybe I'll watch it with my kids at least I think your older girl would like it. Okay, kids can go watch it and stuff.

39:58Mitch:Oh, maybe I'll watch it with my kids, I think. At least I think your older girl would like it. She might think it's fun to watch.

40:02Hayden:Okay, well, it's that time.

40:09Mitch:It is For me to not get punished.

40:11Hayden:That's time.

40:16Mitch:This is me. We're going to check something. Just to make sure this is connected. Turn this up a little bit, so Sam Elliott plays.

40:29Tom:What's happening right now?

40:31It's another world. I was like I hear his voice, but his mouth isn't moving. I'm puppeting.

40:40Mitch:I feel a I'm also violated.

40:42You should have.

40:43Mitch:Let me get my book here so I can make sure I got the right things at the right time.

40:48The time, the now.

40:50Mitch:The things with the things in the phone.

40:51Hayden:Mitch's elaborate trivia requires so much. You got enough hands there.

40:58Mitch. Maybe, His kingdom for an intelligent octopus.

41:04Hayden:Okay.

41:04Tom:Here we go.

41:06Mitch:You have Disney cover songs, so each question is worth two points If you can name the title of the song and what movie it's from. Now several movies will have multiple songs.

41:19Hayden:Just FYI, all right.

41:20Mitch:All right, we'll start with number one. These are all cover songs, so they're different.

41:39Hayden:I can show you the world in Aladdin. Yes, all right, two points. I was like you got that from that. I can show you the world. That's the name of the song, right?

41:47Mitch:there. Oh wait, actually that isn't the name of the song. A Whole New World, yes, Okay. All right we'll go to number two.

41:54Something tells me I'm about to get my butt kicked.

41:57Tom:All right, we'll go to number two.

41:56Something tells me I'm about to get my butt kicked. I see what's happening, yeah.

42:00Hayden:You're face to face with greatness and it's strange.

42:03Tom:You don't even know how you feel. It's adorable. It's nice to see that humans never change. Open your eyes. Let's begin. Yes, it's really me. It's Maui. Breathe it in. Yeah, I know it's a lie.

42:18Hayden:You're welcome by Moana.

42:20Yeah, I can see Moana . I'm out of the Disney. I heard Maui, that was good enough so.

42:28Mitch:Now, just for reference. My wife answered all of these correctly. Well, of course she did.

42:33Any woman. You have small children who watch these.

42:38Hayden:I'm kind of surprised at how well this sounds, you know, for like what would you call it? Like a heavy metal cover, or?

42:43Mitch:something like that. Some of these sound really good . I actually saved them to my like stuff I know it's.

42:53Hayden:Little Mermaid Okay, I don't know the name of the song.

42:59Under the Sea.

43:00Hayden:No.

43:01It's the one where she's.

43:02Hayden:The thing on my bottom is a fork. Oh, she thinks it's a comb?

43:07Tom:Yeah, I think my collection's complete, wouldn't you think I'm a girl?

43:11Mitch:You can still get a point if you can just name the name.

43:14Hayden:I don't know, is the name in the song.

43:23Mitch:I don't know Part of your world. Oh, part of your world. It comes on later in the song. Okay, all right, let's see Number four. Tom's just like nervous, like crap. Tom, you've had to at least heard most of these songs.

43:50The original versions .

43:57Hayden:The realization of his face. King, I know he is King. I feel this is Lion King. Okay, all right, can you feel the love? Yes, Bam. God, I had to go through like all the lyrics of it.

44:07Tom:I hate this. This is like Hayden's secret ability.

44:11Mitch:All right, Tom, you ready for number five?

44:14Yeah, why not?

44:17Tom:King. Footloose number five. Yeah, why not Footloose Aiden's ?

44:26Mitch:going to guess this if you don't do it quick.

44:30Hayden:It's DuckTales man.

44:32Mitch:What's the name of the song DuckTales.

44:33Tom:Yeah, I should have got it from the drum beat. I was like I know, you've heard this before.

44:35Mitch:I was like I'll dive song DuckTales.

44:36Hayden:Yeah, I should have got it from the drum beat.

44:38Mitch:I was like I know you've heard this before. I was like ah, quick, ducktales , woo, all right, number six. Now there's 40 of these, because I didn't know how fast we would go through them Jesus. I didn't know how fast you would go, so if it, takes a while, we'll keep going Tarzan?

45:01No, is it Pocahontas?

45:03Hayden:Yes, Okay, savages.

45:09Mitch:No.

45:16It's Pocahontas, but that's not the name of the song, that's a quick beat change, yeah, oh, uh, wind, uh, the.

45:29Hayden:What's the wind? Something Close, they'll say it here in a second. Winds have changed. No, the river and the wind, or something like that Close Wind'll say it here in a second. Winds of change. A river in the wind, or something like that Close Wind in my hair.

45:46Tom:Wind blow?

45:47Mitch:I don't know.

45:49Tom:It's about to get to it.

45:54Hayden:Colors of wind. All right, I was waiting for it .

46:00Mitch:I'm going to listen to this whole damn song. All right, number seven, I just figured, if it's not the normal song it'll make it a little more difficult.

46:21Tom:Go ahead, pause it.

46:24Hayden:That's King Louie from the Jungle Book. Uh-huh, it's not. It's something about friend, isn't it?

46:35Mitch:The names in the song . So.

46:38Is it the bare necessities? No, jungle.

46:52Hayden:Book. Is it Friend Like Me, friend Like Me.

47:01I don't know, I can't really hear the fucking words.

47:05Mitch:I want to be like you .

47:06Oh okay. You got one point.

47:10Mitch:It's a little too loud, we can turn it down. No, no.

47:13It's just like the lyrics. You couldn't really hear it. I don't know it's just my headset.

47:16Mitch:All right, let's see. Now we're on number eight.

47:25Van Halen. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious .

47:35Mitch:From.

47:36Hayden:Mary Poppins yes.

47:39I don't get how you could do it that quickly.

47:41Hayden:He said supercalifragilisticexpialidocious . I can barely hear it.

47:44What is wrong with you? All I hear is the loud music the guy's like Well, that was number eight.

47:53Mitch:Number nine.

48:00Hayden:Let's get down to business, mulan.

48:03Mitch:It is Mulan, but that's not the name of the song.

48:05Hayden:Be a man close be a woman.

48:13Dishonor on you and dishonor on your cow.

48:28Hayden:I thought be a man in the song.

48:31Mitch:That's not the name of it. It's coming up here in a minute .

48:39Tom:Or a couple seconds Make a man out of you.

48:43Hayden:Make a man out of you , tom, take a gift. Watch more. Disney, tom, take a gift.

48:51Mitch:Watch more Disney Tom .

48:58Tom:Tom's not going to guess this one either.

49:03Hayden:Pinocchio Wish Upon a Star no, oh, when you'll pass asleep In dreams, you'll know Sleeping Beauty no, peter Pan.

49:19Mitch:No. Tom who makes a wish Besides? Aladdin, who makes a wish Besides?

49:33Hayden:Aladdin who makes a wish.

49:39Mitch:They just have to be home by a certain time, Tom.

49:41Hayden:Cinderella there you go.

49:44Mitch:Can you name the song ? I've already said it.

49:48Wish Upon a Star. No, a Dream is a wish, okay.

49:56Mitch:Hayden's probably going to guess this one, because this is I have often dreamed of a far off.

50:05Hayden:Brave. No, it is Hercules, my favorite song and my favorite Disney movie.

50:21Mitch:Even my wife knew this and she's never seen Hercules.

50:28Can I get your wife here to sub in for me?

50:32Mitch:She'd probably be hating. She was guessing it before the word started.

50:41Hayden:Go the distance.

50:42Mitch:Yeah, Hearts on fire. Rocky IV. All right, number 12. This one's kind of funny.

50:53Hayden:Sounds, interesting. Hmm, snow White, yeah, hi-ho, yes.

51:17Yeah, is it hi-ho, hi-ho.

51:19Mitch:Yeah, that was it.

51:21Hayden:Is that what it's called? Is it called hi-ho?

51:23Mitch:Yeah, hi-ho, hi-ho.

51:35Hayden:Frozen 2. Yeah, okay, I don't know the name of the song, I'll say it here soon.

51:46Tom:Oh, Into the Unknown Into the Unknown.

51:51Mitch:Try to help me out, Tom. I'm like he's going to say it here in a minute. No, you're not helping me out.

51:55You're picking this crap this time the original ones . I might remember.

52:00Tom:These are all the original songs.

52:02Hayden:You know, if it was the original songs, I'd be buzzing in a lot faster yeah but I might know them.

52:06Tom:Gosh, it disturbs me to see you, Gaston.

52:10Hayden:Beauty and the Beast. Yes, gaston, yes.

52:20Keep lamenting at this. All of a sudden, I'm going to get this knowledge.

52:25Hayden:Yeah, you are doing this trivia in the vein of my superpower, Mitch. Yeah.

52:30Playing any sound effect.

52:36Mitch:I kind of like this one.

52:40I'm just starting naming random movies Atlantis no , I don't know.

52:48Hayden:Disney Aladdin, yeah, prince Ali, no, I don't know. Disney Aladdin, yeah, prince Ali, yeah, sorry, tom Sorry.

53:02Mitch:He's like that's all right, Just wait until next week . Oh, let's see.

53:09Hayden:That was an interesting rendition of that song. All right, that is Nightmare Before Halloween. Okay, and this is Halloween. You got half of it right. This is Halloween.

53:24Tom:Yeah.

53:24Hayden:Okay, nightmare Before Christmas, oh you said Nightmare.

53:26Mitch:Before Halloween oh, got half of it right.

53:30Hayden:This is Halloween. Yeah, okay, nightmare Before Christmas.

53:33Mitch:Oh, you said Night Before Halloween.

53:35Hayden:Oh, nightmare Before Christmas. My bad, you can give Tom the point. If we're being sticklers about it, I'll give you a petty point. Tom Smug face, I got it off of that. No Sequoia.

53:51Hit the button the one time Circle of life. Damn it, hit the button, it wouldn't matter, you couldn't hear it anyway, I'm watching.

54:05Mitch:Yeah, and you're right.

54:16Tom:Yeah.

54:19Hayden:Top Gun. Oh, top, all right, it's Aladdin. Okay, it's the intro song where Robert Williams sings it. Why?

54:32are you looking at me ? Like I know I'm trying to help you out, Tom. I haven't seen a lad that sounds like this tall.

54:39Hayden:Arabian Nights.

54:41Tom:All right Is the one bath over.

54:48Hayden:We got six more minutes this time.

54:50Mitch:We haven't even gotten to question 20 yet.

54:51Hayden:Tom Jesus Jesus duty and the beast fail, as old as time actually you got half right . Okay, beauty and the.

55:17Beast. Is it called Beauty and the Beast?

55:18Hayden:Yes, Okay, oh shit, because they do say Beauty and the Beast at some point. Oh, oh, darn it. I know this song.

55:52Yeah, it's like you know the name of the song Tom.

55:55Tom:I Will.
