0:00Mitch:My name is.
0:01Tom:Dan, and together with my friends Runo, marucho, julie, mr Hotshot himself, shun and Alice, we are the Bakugan Battle Brawlers.
0:15Hayden:Oh yeah.
0:17Mitch:Oh, is that from your punishment? I was like what am I listening to? I don't know what's happening. My punishment is your punishment Tom.
0:35Tom:I was confused as well.
0:39Hayden:Hello and welcome to Entertain Us a podcast about movies, tv shows and video games . My name is Hayden. With me I have Mitch, hello and . Tim Tim. We just got done interviewing Mr Francois Chow and he was an awesome person to talk to Very humble guy. Very well versed in the industry . He's got an amazing IMDB and definitely one of the greatest people we've talked to today. So please tune in on Thursday for when this gets published and it'll be all over our social mediums, um but uh. I hope you enjoyed that interview as much as we did.
1:12Tom:Speaking of social mediums, Mitch, oh, yeah, well you have entertain this podcastcom which will take you to our Facebook group and page, which is entertain this exclamation point or entertain this exclamation point podcast. Then we also have our Twitter, which is at this entertain, and we have our Tik TOK and YouTube, which is entertain this exclamation point.
1:30Mitch:We have those things.
1:31Hayden:There's so many of them, all right, I had to watch a TV show because I failed at trivia. Last go around, yeah you did yeah.
1:40Mitch:You've been taking it pretty pretty on the chin.
1:42Hayden:You, you've been taking it pretty pretty on the chin, you know I've been extremely distracted and hopefully you know nothing to say on the podcast officially yet, but maybe in a couple of weeks I'll have a substantial announcement. You will. Listeners will understand why I'm so busy. He secretly wears a toupee.
2:00Mitch:It's a full-time job, so anyways.
2:04Hayden:I had to watch Bakugan Battle Brawlers the thing that Bakugan Battle Brawlers, I'm going to start off with this they say Bakugan like 15 different ways in this show and it drives me crazy. Bakugan or Bakugan, bakugan.
2:21Mitch:There's so many different. It's like that one bit where it's just people from the Midwest pronouncing Spanish food , tacos, get your tacos.
2:28Hayden:Get your fashitas.
2:31Mitch:Are those tacos?
2:33Hayden:This show was a Pokemon knockoff. It came out in 2007? 2007.
2:41Mitch:They were late to the game. Digimon beat them by like five years A.
2:45Tom:Pokemon knockoff of Digimon of Yu-Gi-Oh, of Beyblade .
2:49Hayden:It has cars in it, believe it or not. I didn't even know this. It's a bunch of Japanese dudes in suits that are like how do we get other kids money?
2:59Mitch:How do we get kids' parents money?
3:00Hayden:Their idea is we'll have these little marble ball things that pop out into kind of a looking animal. They're still spherical. It's just like a head pops out and, uh, you know, you throw a card down and the card adds a stat to whatever this monster is and whoever stats are the highest, wins wins. That's the gist of it.
3:23Tom:So so you don't really even so, it's like playing war you just throw down a card and whoever's higher.
3:27Hayden:Well, I guess you can pick. What card, I don't know.
3:30Mitch:Two, three damn.
3:32Hayden:The way the fighting in the show happened. It didn't make sense because you need like cards to put down for your arena and then you add on like affected cards. That makes the monsters do stuff. So but, yeah, here it says the original run was February 24, 2008 to. February 28, 2009. 15 seasons Jesus.
4:02Mitch:Yeah, between 12 and 15. I've never heard of this show, ever. 15 episodes.
4:05Hayden:It's all on Tubi. Okay, so this all aired in Japan then. And 15 episodes. I've never heard of this show, ever. It's all on Tubi. Okay, so this all aired in Japan then, I'm assuming. I guess you know, so I I know it was on American television too, and there's like a bajillion knockoffs so many knockoffs, I believe it and all the names are super dumb. The main character's name is Dan and everybody else's names is like Japanese names, so just stick with the Japanese or don't you know it's too much. Like you're trying to appeal to a Western audience with that kind of crap. Something about there's an alternate universe where monsters exist and they have really dumb names where they hail from, like there's like Waterworld or W Watoria or
4:48Hayden:something stupid like that. Something about there's the infinity realm and the silence realm, like light and dark. I guess that's their way of saying that. That's so stupid. The main character, dan. One day he's walking around and cards start raining out of the sky and he collects them.
5:06Mitch:Starter deck.
5:07Hayden:Somehow that's Bakugan. I don't know. You never really explain what the cards have to do with the origin of the Bakugan, but he becomes like one of the best-ranked Bakugan brawlers in the world and you know, he's one out of five. But this dude, though, the bad guy, is hilarious. Let me pull up a picture of him . His name is Masquerade, and he's got aviators that don't quit. They go forever, so let me pull up a picture of him.
5:38Mitch:Aviators that don't quit. I don't even know what that means. Look at this, but I'm assuming when I see the picture I will, oh my God, know what that means like. Look at this, but I'm assuming when I see the picture I will, oh my god, if he were to look down, he'd stab himself in the chest, jesus, those are a hazard . Yeah, what if he sneezed? He go?
5:53Hayden:so that's just, I stabbed myself in the lung it's like if you could somehow envision a reverse covid mask, maybe it's like only his nose and mouth are exposed.
6:02Mitch:Everything else is for those of you who don't really understand what we're talking about. Picture a pair of sunglasses. In the bottom of the sunglasses , where you know it curves and goes back up towards your nose. That point of curve, walrus tusks. Just keep grab it, pull it and just keep going so you get to about your nipples and then turn them into like razor blades.
6:21Hayden:That that's what the sunglasses this man is wearing, turn them into like razor blades . That that's what the sunglasses this man is wearing, so he's like the main bad guy. I don't know what his deal is, but every time he shows up on scene, uh, to fight somebody, there's a huge gust of wind. And he's there, yeah, and uh that's how he? moves butthole speed the uh the, the, the sidekicks are all these girls that the dude meets on the internet and okay, and he's like 10 and they all want to make out with him on the internet. They're kissing the camera and he's freaking out and stuff like that. I've watched three episodes. That's essentially the gist of it.
6:52Mitch:You didn't want to watch more.
6:53Hayden:I did not. Actually, I watched it with my five-year-old son and I got to the first episode and I was like do you want to keep going? You want to keep going? He's like no, please, anything else. I was like sorry, buddy, we got to keep going. I had to do this for the podcast. He sounds like do it for the podcast.
7:11Mitch:Your kid's going to be going through his midlife crisis in a year.
7:15Hayden:He's like this is dumb. Can't we just play Legos? Yeah, so it was bad. It was not as bad as what was the tops one. I forgot Beyblade. It wasn't as bad as that Beyblade was on TV so here. This was too At one point.
7:31Mitch:I remember kids. I never heard of this crap. This didn't exist. Okay, and school in New York this is made up. This is a dream you had. Tom doesn't know about it, it's not real. All the kids in school, everybody was into Yu-Gi-Oh, pokemon and then Beyblade came out and there was kids I knew at school who had Beyblades Letter Rant. Yes, that would happen, like you'd go in the bathroom between periods and there'd just be two kids in a circle and they'd be like ripcording these things nerds.
8:01Hayden:Yeah, so the main character in the show. He gets this talking, not Pokemon, bakugan, he gets one of them things and it's the voice of Vegeta. Whoever does the voice? Like the good one yeah. Okay, the one that's for. The one that we all remember, right and all like the show after the first season or something like that, and so I hear Vegeta's voice the entire time and it's just so disoriented. You just wave from the yell Kakarot.
8:30Mitch:Yeah.
8:30Hayden:Yeah, but.
8:32Mitch:Where's the?
8:33Hayden:Dragon Balls. Yeah it was dumb and I'd give it a three out of ten, just because I think I gave Beyblades a two out of ten. So this is a little better. A little better because you know some of the stuff where he wants to be the best and he's got a ranking system.
8:49Tom:that was kind of interesting it had a point there , it did.
8:52Hayden:I don't know. I want to know what it is about Japanese culture, where kids will be into something and they immediately have to start beating each other up about it you know, like this is a. Thing he just wanders in the street and he sees some other kid and he's like I will defeat you. And then they start fighting with their little Bakugan. That's in Beyblades, that's in Pokemon, that's in all of them that's in Yu-Gi-Oh yeah.
9:15Tom:Step out into the wrong street corner. It's like damn it.
9:25Hayden:What's that? But it's a music coming from they. There was kind of like an interesting little ranking system and there is some sort of mystery behind why the Bakugan are in Earth. So there was there was a there was a backplot, I guess.
9:38Mitch:The laziest way to ever finish is in you.
9:43Hayden:I just didn't want to go on. I don't know what it's about. I just know that. Okay, I can see what the child appeal is. The toy gimmicks are so stupid. I just can't believe it. I worked at Walmart when we were selling these things and they sold like hotcakes Like I remember people fighting each other over it and so it worked.
10:02Mitch:I remember people would fight over the Pokemon packs, the Yu-Gi-Oh decks, the toys, whatever. The biggest one I remember people losing it over was Zoids.
10:12Hayden:I don't remember that one no.
10:15Tom:I was going to say I will work tirelessly to find you a good punishment next time.
10:19Hayden:I'm doing trivia. This is going to go around. Zoids was like the.
10:21Mitch:Transformers, but you rode them. They were like mechs.
10:24Hayden:Okay, the Liger one. I think I do remember that one. Actually, it wasn't bad, it was pretty cool. I think I watched that one. It was CG right.
10:31Mitch:Yeah, you had to put them together and it had the little simple machines in it where you can wind it and it would move. I mean it was pretty much all that shelf looked like a shelf at Walmart now with food shortages.
10:48Hayden:So, yeah, it was okay . My son didn't like it. Maybe if he was a 5-year-old in 2008 when the show came out, he would have liked it but, I doubt it. I doubt it, I definitely.
11:00Tom:There's a reason. This was the last one out of the ones that I had saved.
11:03Hayden:Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of the Pokemon anime, to be honest with you. When I was a kid, I liked the video games. That was about it.
11:08Tom:I was because of the games. I guess, yeah, the original.
11:11Hayden:Yeah, I guess I watched it when it came on because it was nothing else to watch before you went to school. Yeah so yeah, my little TV in the breakfast bar. I watched Pokemon. I knew when it was over.
11:23Mitch:That's how you know. He came from a rich family. I'm sitting there at the breakfast bar I have a TV, it's like all right, you affluent bum it was like a shoebox-sized TV.
11:33Hayden:It was probably something.
11:34Mitch:It doesn't matter, you had one.
11:35Hayden:Yeah Well, you know what If you don't live in?
11:39Mitch:New York. You yeah, you're not paying, like your parents aren't paying property taxes.
11:44Hayden:So anyway, moving on, punishment done, let's go on to movies I had movies.
11:50Mitch:That was you. The party continues. Welcome to the Hayden Power Hour.
11:54Hayden:I watched the James Bond movie no Time to Die. Oh good, I don't have to watch it now right you do, because it's part of your yearly challenge. Did we review this? Nope, nobody's seen it yet. You haven't seen it yet. No time to die. Yeah, and you haven't seen it yet. I just watched it. It was on amazon. Um, as a matter of fact, made 774.2 million ust us. Oh, I was like you don't know about it's. It's a new cryptocurrency. It's got a 7.3 on IMDb, 68 on Metacritic, 83 on Rotten Tomatoes. I'd agree more with IMDb. I think it was a good James Bond movie. I don't think it was the best, nor the best Daniel Craig James Bond movie Probably the third best James Bond movie. It had Leah Sadu. She was in it.
12:46Hayden:It's the blonde woman.
12:47Mitch:Mm-hmm.
12:48Hayden:She was from Spectre, I think Right.
12:50Mitch:I only saw Spectre once.
12:52Hayden:Yeah, she was in Spectre. Lashana Lynch, she's the new 007. And Rami Malek, he's the new bad guy. And Anna de Armas, which she was in it, but like why she was in it for like 15 minutes and it was kind of an interesting character. And then they're like, okay, bye.
13:08Mitch:And then that was it.
13:10Hayden:But then they have, you know, ray Fines and and. Jeffrey Wright, it's Felix Leiter and stuff like that. They closed out. This was the final movie and they made sure of it, so not to go into too much spoilers, but Daniel Craig is definitely not coming back as.
13:26Tom:James.
13:26Hayden:Bond.
13:27Mitch:I heard.
13:28Hayden:So you know it's out. I think it's safe to say you know, like for them to kind of, because I'll just go ahead and say James Bond dies in the end of this movie. So has James Bond ever died in a James Bond movie before? Mr.
13:41Mitch:No.
13:43Hayden:Yeah, efficient James Bond guy over there. I mean he's staged and faked his death, right, but he's never been confirmed to die. Well, you see him die and it's for sure, for real, like his head gets blown off or something . He gets blown up, yeah.
13:56Mitch:You see him like get incinerated Pretty much, yeah, you're sure.
13:59Hayden:Yes.
14:01Mitch:Okay, because we've seen.
14:02Tom:He's got the toe tag.
14:04Mitch:I know they can do some trickery.
14:06Hayden:It wasn't also just like all of the what happens to his body on camera. It was also the setup for why he needs to die and this be the end, and stuff like that, which I thought was okay. I thought it was a pretty good way that they did that, not to go into too much detail, but essentially, leah Sadu is like his would-be wife and they have a child together and in order for them to survive he has to die and stuff like that. So the plot MacGuffins aside and the spoilers aside sorry if you haven't seen the movie I thought that that was an interesting way to wrap it up for the daniel craig james bond and kind of have his selfless sacrifice. He can't live happily ever after because he's a. They even quote some philosophy at certain points, but he's,
14:56Hayden:he's an enforcer. You know people who live by the sword. You have to die by the sword. You know essentially, and but his innocent would-be wife and child, they should live, live happily ever after, and they do so I thought that that was an interesting way to go about it and kind of throw a little bit of gravitas into a James Bond movie. And they were really like there's a scene where Anna Darmus is like scantily clad and helping him fight some bad guys and I'm like, okay, so how long till they have sex? You know, like every james bond movie ever. Yeah, and at the end he was like thank you for your service, goodbye. And she was like I hope we get to do it again sometimes. And that was it. I was like wow, a beautiful woman and james bond in a movie
15:34Hayden:together and they don't have relations, they don't bone.
15:36Mitch:I know this is ridiculous it was thanks 2022, it was very cool.
15:40Hayden:You're ruining bond films now tom angry, uh, everybody, everybody who hated the black lady that played the 007 moniker. I don't understand why. I thought she was a really interesting character. She wasn't James Bond, she had the moniker, and at one point she actually, out of respect to Bond, relinquishes the moniker back to him because he was in retirement at the beginning of the movie. So I don't understand why people are so angry.
16:04Mitch:Yeah, they touch on that in other films for Bond, where it's like someone leaves but someone takes the number. She's an original character.
16:12Hayden:She happens to be a woman in black. Why does it matter that she has the same title as Bond did when Bond was active.
16:19Mitch:It's like you left. It's like she got promoted to 007. Exactly, and when she goes, someone else will be 007.
16:28Hayden:So I don't understand all the racial upheave about that. You know, I thought that it was really tastefully done and her character was actually pretty interesting, so I enjoyed it. Rami Malek's character was weird when you think of the grand.
16:39Mitch:He is weird.
16:39Hayden:Well, when you think of the grand scope of because they try to canonize is that the proper way to say? That they try to incorporate into a singular canon the idea of all the Daniel Craig James Bond movies, and this was the movie that solidified all of that more than Spectre did, which is good, because Spectre was not that great. So if you kind of want to understand what the overarching background is for the James Bond movies, yeah, you should watch this one. If you don't care and you want to see stuff blow up and action sequences didn't have that much compared to other ones. There were some pretty interesting stunts and fights and little James Bond hazardous gimmicks of this will kill you for whatever reason and stuff you know, they were there, but
17:25Hayden:they weren't as prolific as other movies. so I, who enjoys interesting writing over just mindless action, I like that, that could understand why it wouldn't be for everybody. So, like I said, I think a 7.5 out of 10. It's not, it's no Skyfall, you know. So it's.
17:44Tom:Casino Royale is still my favorite so far, yeah.
17:47Hayden:Casino Royale, I would say, is the second best, but it's way better than Quantum of Solace.
17:54Mitch:So that's not saying much yeah, that's not saying much.
17:56Hayden:So, um, there you go, all right. Moving on to movie news. Uh, I had a whole bunch of stuff that I deleted because I wanted to get my articles pulled up to talk to our guest, and I forgot. What do you guys?
18:13Tom:have live action hercules okay, what?
18:15Hayden:yes, uh, by guy ritchie. Yeah, so everybody crapped on aladdin I liked aladdin when, until it came out, and then everybody liked aladdin yeah so I'm interested to see. But is it going to be a heist movie?
18:28Mitch:that's like guy rich's thing is jason statham gonna show up at some point?
18:32Hayden:he's's going to have the long, luscious golden locks he can't have bald. Jason Statham. Ball night, so kidding.
18:38Tom:Well, if they follow the movie, he does have to go back down into the underworld to get Meg's soul back.
18:44Mitch:Yeah, which is kind of a heist.
18:48Tom:That's why.
18:49Mitch:Guy Ritchie's doing it. I got some interest in it. We're not stealing money this time. We're stealing souls.
18:54Hayden:So did you guys like Joaquin Phoenix's Joker?
18:57Tom:Oh yeah, I saw that too.
18:59Hayden:All right directed by Todd Howard.
19:02Tom:It was better than.
19:02Hayden:Jared Leto there's a sequel coming out. It was. There's a sequel coming out where they're going to have him be in it and a Harley Quinn character who's going to be played by a guest, tom Michelle Pfeiffer. No, all right, lady Gaga, you know why why.
19:22Mitch:Because it's a musical.
19:24Hayden:Oh God yeah.
19:26Mitch:Why.
19:26Hayden:Well, who knows? I think, if I had to just guess , todd Phillips has been burned from the Hangover trilogy because all of those movies are exactly the same.
19:40Mitch:Yes, yes.
19:41Hayden:So if he's making a sequel, he probably wants to make it as completely different from the first as he possibly could?
19:46Mitch:Every single one of those movies starts with four people going to get drunk and then three of them wake up and have to find the other one.
19:53Hayden:Yeah, get drunk and then three of them wake up and have to find the other one. Yeah, so this joker movie called joker folly ado is uh, uh starring uh lady gaga as harley quinn and uh, hawking phoenix, and they're going to be singing and dancing while they're blown up. Gotham, I guess, I don't know. So it seems kind of wild, but I mean, I mean, would you watch it, mitch, or are you just going to say no right from the get?
20:16Tom:Oh look, I've seen Birds of Prey. I'll watch it, at least once.
20:19Hayden:That's true, that's true. Yeah, it is a weird bit of news . I just can't believe.
20:25Tom:Yeah, I saw that too.
20:26Hayden:I thought it was a joke when I first read it, but no, I heard it on another podcast and I was like, wow, this is a real thing. There you go. There's a bunch of other stuff that's happening, but I thought that those were the two interesting ones. Well, mitch thought that Hercules was interesting, so yeah, tv.
20:43Mitch:I got it. What do you got time? I watched dark. Okay, which, uh, 2017, like 2021, uh, german television show , science, science fiction, science fiction show. Apparently, it's had a big, it's well acclaimed for science fiction.
21:00Hayden:Yeah, it was one of the biggest international TV shows that came out in that area , so apparently it's a German ensemble cast.
21:07Mitch:I have no idea who any of them are. They all look very dreary and bland.
21:12Tom:That's the futuristic like not futuristic but like apocalyptic kind of thing.
21:16Hayden:Well, it's complicated, it's about time travel.
21:18Tom:Yeah.
21:18Hayden:It's about time travel so you got.
21:20Mitch:You said the first season, I think All these people live in a town right next to a nuclear power plant. Kid goes missing, then another kid goes missing and there's a creepy tunnel or cave that leads into the plant and they hear weird noises and birds are falling out of the sky and people are showing up and their ears are all messed up and their eyes are melted out of their face. And then there's time traveling now involved and it's raining, everyone's wearing very drab-looking clothes. It looks very depressing Justice. It literally just looks like Eastern Europe during the Soviet block. Everybody's just sad. I mean if, like during the soviet like block everybody.
21:55Hayden:I mean, if it rained it rains a lot there. Yeah, it's like. Uh, everybody like was had to take like anti-depression pills and instead of blade runner or something like that, because they're so depressed whenever somebody says eastern europe, I think of euro trip.
22:08Tom:When they get off the bus it's just a bunch of like abandoned, like looking apartments.
22:13Mitch:Yeah that's also. It looks like chernobyl, like it's just that that 80s communist bland, drab, industrial, industrialized like the woods don't even look nice, it's like nothing's nice, no one's happy, it rains, deal with it and then time traveling and people are disappearing. I heard it was a really good show, though I've watched the first two episodes and and I've quite liked it actually.
22:37Hayden:Yeah, the friends that I have that are even more snootier and critical about movies than I am.
22:43Mitch:What.
22:44Hayden:I know they exist.
22:45Mitch:Real.
22:46Hayden:Artours. They said it was great but naturally, since they found it, I can't watch it. I have to be the one that watches it. Oh, my God found it. I can't watch it. I have to be the one that watches it. You're the worst. You really are. I just haven't gotten around to watching it.
22:58Mitch:You have to watch it with subtitles, of course, because obviously it's all in German.
23:04Hayden:I think there's an English dub of it, but I wouldn't do it.
23:05Mitch:Because them saying stuff in German really punctuates what's going on.
23:12Hayden:Especially when people start getting mad. You're like oh, he is pissed for the maps of the axes and allies to come out and stuff like that.
23:19Mitch:Exactly Another show I've watched.
23:21Hayden:Yeah.
23:22Mitch:Kenobi. So I wanted to bring this up because the next, the last episode comes out next week. So we've all watched the first five episodes of this limited run. What have you thought so far? The show should have been a movie. Yeah, the show should have been a movie.
23:40Tom:I'll go with that. I felt like, if they I agree with you it should have been a movie, but I felt like it could be a show if they would just expand. They need to expand on these characters, so there needs to be more than six episodes.
23:50Hayden:Yeah, I think we've said it before, but nobody cares about what kenobi's not doing, trying not to be a jedi, everybody wants to see what vader's doing everybody literally like all the memes. All everything on social media is all the scenes of darth vader yeah, so if they did a 50, 50 at least of you know kenobi vader yeah, that would be better instead of vader just standing there breathing and sending his minions to go fight Kenobi. Yeah, you know that's annoying, but when they do bring Vader in for the action scenes and the lightsaber fights and whatnot, it's awesome.
24:21Tom:He's pretty cool. He has a presence.
24:22Mitch:It's like he does. It's like, despite Disney's best efforts right now and Kathleen Kennedy, they haven't ruined Darth.
24:29Hayden:Vader yet Not yet. It was good. I've never seen basically that much of an overpowered lightsaber battle.
24:37Mitch:Where he's just literally swinging with one hand and beating him to the ground.
24:41Hayden:He's not even using a lightsaber for half the battle.
24:43Mitch:He's just using his prosthetics.
24:45Hayden:Well, he's stopping her with the force.
24:48Mitch:I was talking about him when he fought Obi-Wan. And then he was like lit the ground on on fire was dragging him through it with the force, yeah yeah. Yeah, it was like, okay, he's upset he's a little upset.
24:59Hayden:I like the flashback. I mean it's kind of hard to de-age hayden christensen back to like. What was he like 17 when they were doing so yeah, they're trying to de-age him like 20 years.
25:08Mitch:So, yeah, it looked better though than the irishman it did. He still looks like and less money.
25:14Hayden:He just looks like he's really tired or something. But you know, it was nice to have that scene where they showcase more of a friendlier kind of adversary between the two of those characters which explodes in the jump cuts to modern times.
25:27Tom:I did like how that battle that they were having in their training mirrored what was kind of going on in the present as far as the tactics and stuff that was pretty cool and stuff kenobi was trying to explain to him then that he still hadn't really listened to 30 years later.
25:42Hayden:Yeah, you were the chosen one, and then vader shows his power but he's still right though, because, like he kenobi says, you know something like uh , your need to win, win can be your downfall, and then, even as Vader, that's what he counts on , right before, like the fight starts, he's like this is what he's going to do, right, like how do you know?
26:04Mitch:It's like I know what he's going to do. And then, like, literally, it cuts to Vader and he's doing exactly what could have been. He's like yep, get everybody ready, we're blowing it up.
26:11Hayden:Yeah, the hate for the Lady Inquisitor character yeah that everybody has for her on social media and stuff. I don't think it's that bad. I don't think she's that interesting of a character because her mysterious background was pretty freaking obvious. Yeah, we all knew she was going to be one of the younglings, the younglings.
26:30Mitch:If they had just opened with that Exactly.
26:33Tom:I'll say that the twist of her just doing this just to get back at him To kill Vader. That kind of surprised me It'd be interesting.
26:41Hayden:I like what you said where if they had just opened with that, that would have been nice instead of them beating around the bush like we don't know. And two, once that's in the clear, she actually became kind of an interesting character.
26:53Mitch:Yeah, because now I knew why.
26:55Hayden:Right, why she's being such a business.
26:58Mitch:And then the twist of her doing everything to kill Vader, even though when she went to fight him she had no chance whatsoever.
27:05Hayden:Absolutely not. That was like a two-year-old fighting Andre the Giant? Absolutely not. But you know what? I'm so glad that they chose to do it that way not make it kind of close or something.
27:20Mitch:No, it was literally one-sided domination, yeah, and like her lightsaber ignites and she goes for the slash and the blade just stops and she's like forcefully trying to push it. And then vader turns around slowly and you see his hand out because he's stopping it with the force right every swing.
27:29Hayden:He's just like holding up his hand like no, no no, he's like one of those kung fu masters that flips people with their bikinis.
27:35Mitch:That was like a mcdojo video of vader just beating the crap out of that woman.
27:41Hayden:But the part two where, like, the ship tries to take off yes, he just stops it, just slams it. I was like there we go. That's some like superpower elite force using that I wanted to see and he starts using the force to rip the ship apart and and it's in this stupid TV show where they finally start to showcase this crap.
27:57Tom:Well, because Rey does it. But it's like, why, how?
28:01Hayden:can she be the one that does that? And it wasn't even that epic. This was epic. Because, you're so angry about it so you kind of felt all the anger and stuff that Vader goes through.
28:12Mitch:Everybody's watching this show for Vader.
28:14Hayden:Yeah, absolutely. And then, someone.
28:15Mitch:The funniest meme I've seen so far it was about Obi-Wan, yeah, and it was like when Obi-Wan does the saber spin , like he does something like spins the blade around for a second, and the comment is like some dude like looking like he just came, he's like it's like he did it.
28:31Hayden:I was, I put my phone down.
28:33Mitch:Hello there, hello there, so in other news All right, you forgot. No, I remember now, okay, the stupid Jon Snow sequel.
28:45Hayden:Yeah, they're talking about it why I? Don't think it's going to happen. Why?
28:49Mitch:I mean apparently the article.
28:50Hayden:I read Kit Harington's already attached to it to do it. Yeah, I'm sure he's contractually obligated.
28:55Mitch:Is he still?
28:56Hayden:The show made his career. If they're like, we'll give you all this money, but we own you for the rest of your life, if we ever want you again.
29:07Mitch:This is Vinci's north of the wall. Well, who cares? Who cares the White?
29:11Hayden:Walkers, no one cares .
29:14Mitch:It's like nobody. Nobody was he gonna do like fight bears or something like that? Yeah, here's john snow pissing against a tree in the middle of the wilderness wow you know look at him, not knowing anything for as much of a crash and burn as game of thrones was.
29:23Hayden:In the end it was still like like they, the show, built up the epic to do for eons , like you know for years, yeah so like how are you gonna top that and why have a sequel?
29:36Mitch:About Jon Snow, to even try who goes into exile.
29:39Hayden:Yeah, exactly. So maybe he's like you know what I should be king? He's just going to go back and kill the handicap kid.
29:46Mitch:I mean I get what the Targaryen show they're going to do, because that's all set before everything, like a thousand years. When show they're going to do because that's all set before everything, like a thousand years, when they like, conquered the, like, the known world for them, right, it's like that's cool to watch. There's big dragons, lots of targaryens lots of fighting. We can get behind that, yep, but it's like we already know what happens, like I'm watching one character's like exposition about you know everything's done . It's like everybody's dead.
30:07Hayden:Maybe everything's over maybe their idea was that the Targaryen show got enough like hate, because people were like who cares about Game of Thrones anymore? They were like, let's make a crappier show. So people are like, okay, well, I'm going to watch that one.
30:23Mitch:I think, secretly, amazon is behind this. Oh yeah, here's my tinfoil hat theory. They're the ones pulling the strings on this to be such a crap show that the Lord of the Rings Rings of Power looks amazing compared to it, because they already know their show sucks.
30:44Tom:Oh, the Illuminati cabal of HBO and Amazon conspiring together.
30:49Mitch:Men in dark suits and screens talking to one man who does all their bidding and you see some guy smoking and it's like that's what's really happening.
30:56Hayden:Have you seen, uh, the two Pinocchio movies coming out? I?
30:59Tom:know one with Tom.
31:00Hayden:Hanks.
31:00Mitch:Yes, pinocchio, oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, I saw he's going to play like what's your petto.
31:03Hayden:Uh huh, and there's another one, um, both coming out this year. That's like when they had the two Robin Hood movies come out the same year. People are obviously pissed off about the black lady playing the blue fairy, which, whatever, who cares? I don't understand, it's a fairy.
31:25Mitch:It's not even a real thing. It's going to be okay.
31:28Hayden:And then that's the. This is the Disney one. Yes, robert Zemeckis is doing that one, and then the other one , guillermo del Toro is doing the Netflix one, so that one's going to be scary? I think so, and it's weird that they're releasing them right next to each other, and you know why.
31:50Mitch:That's going to be like Serial Killer Pinocchio, where he like sharpens his nose and he grabs somebody and just lies in their face and just goes .
31:57Tom:I'm going to let you go.
32:00Hayden:The Netflix one has Ewan McGregor, Tilda Swinton, Cate Blanchett, David Bradley, which is?
32:05Mitch:You said you were going to let me go I lied.
32:08Hayden:And, of course, ron Perlman. But it's interesting that they're both like shotgunning these movies out right next to each other. It's some sort of competition, like remember, armageddon and Deep Impact came out at the same time, so I wonder if that's like their thing for this. All right, vigigames.
32:25Tom:Vigigames Whoa. I played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge and I'll go ahead and say it gets a 9 out of 10 for me. Wow, because it hits. Well, let me go ahead and start here. It starts off with the original 1980s opening Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But it's like just basically revamped with new artwork and stuff.
32:46Hayden:It does look really good.
32:48Tom:It's the exact Almost like the like opening.
32:50Hayden:it's awesome yeah it doesn't, doesn't try to make something new, it's just, yeah, I mean it goes through the entire opening.
32:57Tom:It's really cool, works a lot of fun, um, and then , uh, you have the awesome nostalgia. You know, just because it's the 80s power, yeah, it has all the . The game has all the like old, uh, what's called, I guess, sound bites and stuff like that yeah a lot of the levels they're . They're kind of mixes of new and reminiscent of the old levels from different Ninja Turtle games, for, like the second and the third one, really a lot you know show up.
33:23Hayden:Um, is it a direct sequel to Turtles in Time? No, this is its own game, okay.
33:30Tom:But it's pretty cool because you can have up to six-player co-op, so you have the four turtles, yeah, and then you can be Splinter in April and then I think, eventually you can unlock Casey Jones, you're right, yeah, so six people crowding the screen, though I wonder what that is like.
33:43Hayden:That's a lot going on .
33:53Tom:That's only thing that keeps it from 10 out of 10 for me, because I we played with five people when I was just playing with some random people and I couldn't figure out where my character was. Where am I? Because you can do combos which like your character, basically almost like he makes a dome around himself as far as like his reach and stuff and he's like spinning and stuff and I couldn't figure out where I was at. Like I'm looking, I'm like where'd my guy go? Yeah, because there.
34:07Mitch:Because there was just so much going on. You see, like stuff, and they're like in the bottom corner, your guy's just running into a wall.
34:12Tom:I mean, there was a couple of times where I thought I was fighting. I was like, oh no, I'm over here, Sorry.
34:16Mitch:You're beating up a wall.
34:22Hayden:That's my only like negative on it. I wonder if they I know that you can't up the difficulty in general, but I played through the first level just by myself and it was pretty darn easy. I think the more people they have, the more enemies show up, or something like that, the more pixels crowd your screen.
34:38Tom:But I think it's pretty cool that you can have six players play. Yeah, you can have like little cool player interactions, like if one guy's low on health and you have health and he needs it, you can go over and like high five each other and he gets a little bit of your health.
34:54Hayden:Just, you know evil in and out. You can use pizza to resurrect your buddies and stuff like.
34:56Tom:Yeah, like, if somebody goes down, you go over there and you're just, like you know, talking to them or whatever. You can pick them up if they start to die.
35:02Hayden:Um I like the experience system in it too, or it's not like you have a skill tree, you you have to find which one has .4 extra dexterity and all that BS. It's just like congratulations, you unlocked a new move.
35:16Tom:Yeah, it's a lot of fun. The controls are really basic. You have your heavy attack, I think, your light attack, and then you have jump. I won't say. There's one button that's like grabbed, where you can throw them.
35:28Hayden:If you're close enough to them yeah, it's on Game Pass. It's free for us.
35:35Tom:If you don't have Game Pass, I think it's like $30 . Okay, but I really like they've kind of, I guess, separated into it. They have a story mode and then they have the arcade mode. So story mode pretty much if you can't die, like I mean you have enough lives, and everything, where you just keep going through. But arcade mode is like the old style nes and arcades, where you get three lives and that's it.
35:58Hayden:There's no saving to the end. So good luck.
36:01Tom:Good luck, it sounds like the strongest will survive, and then the music is is just like it used to be, which is what else it needs to be.
36:08Hayden:You've got to appeal to that.
36:10Mitch:It's an awesome game so you'd call this a good game and nostalgia trip. Done well.
36:15Tom:Yes, it's a game that you can just sit and button, mash and have fun with.
36:19Hayden:I'm excited to play with you guys. I think it'll be a lot of fun.
36:22Tom:We've already got our . I'm Raphael.
36:24Hayden:I'm Leonardo Donatello.
36:29Tom:And then we'll just have to make Evan be Michelangelo. Yeah, be Mikey, It'll be all right. All right, but that's all I had for the review. It's an awesome game. You know, if you got Game Pass, it's four gigabytes. So you know it doesn't take much space, that's like 36 war zones. And one thing I did see is like you have your linear path that you can follow. You have your linear path that you can follow, but there's also little side missions that you can go and do.
36:50Hayden:And unlock some stuff . And if you want to play with us , get with Mitch on social media . We can always use some extra players.
36:55Tom:Oh yeah, there's six people, there's only three of us . All right, but I'll go ahead and move on to my news which there's a Sonic Frontiers which a lot of people said they didn't like, but basically it's an open world sonic game which I mean it has like the, the loop-de-loops and collecting the coins and stuff like that.
37:14Hayden:Like uh, tom talked about an episode or two ago that there's a lot of hate for this game because it just didn't look done or something, so there's a lot of crap that got put out.
37:22Tom:It's not as bright as like the old sega games, like the bright greens and stuff, but I mean it.
37:28Hayden:Well, there was a Sonic game years ago, like in 2010,. That was weird. It was Sonic with humans and that tanked really bad. So I wonder if they're going the same route. I don't know.
37:41Mitch:If you want to know what I said about this, listen to what Did you say two episodes ago. I talked about that, something like that.
37:45Tom:Well, I'll just bring it up Because I don't remember. But there's also going to be Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that are going to be coming out. Those will sell well.
37:52Mitch:They always do.
37:52Tom:There's a rumor that it's going to be like a four-player co-op game eventually, so I don't know if that's for sure or not, but I read an article that was talking about that. Also. They announced Fallout 5. As soon as Elder Scrolls 6 is out, they will begin work on Fallout 5.
38:10Hayden:In your grandchildren's lives, you might be able to play this game?
38:13Tom:Yes, well, they might be able to play Elder Scrolls. And then, lastly, warzone will be getting a new map starting next week.
38:21Mitch:Yes, with Season 4.
38:22Tom:Rebirth.
38:24Hayden:Fortune's Keep. Yes, I didn't realize it was that soon. Yeah, I didn't realize it was that soon.
38:27Mitch:Yeah, I didn't either until just the other day that comes out next Wednesday. That'll be fun.
38:30Tom:Basically it's a resurgence map and it's kind of.
38:33Mitch:It's very different.
38:34Tom:It's like a medium-sized map, I guess, because it's bigger than the Rebirth map, but it's smaller than Caldera.
38:39Mitch:It's a lot smaller than Caldera, okay.
38:44Tom:That'll be fun is like three Rebirth maps put together, but then when they showed the actual map comparison it's maybe like two yeah.
38:52Hayden:Okay.
38:52Tom:That's all I got.
38:53Hayden:Are you boys ready, ready to lose this trivia which has, okay, that was Tom and Mitch respectively, that's their buzzers. This trivia is sitcom theme songs, ooh, all right. So when I play the snippet of the song, first person to buzz in and guess it. You get a point. Now if, for some reason, you by somehow know, like you will obviously guess the show. But if you somehow know the band or the name of the song, I'll give an extra point for that too. Are you ready?
39:29Tom:No, here we go. Can I just play this, you and your technical difficulties.
39:34Hayden:All right, let's see what happens if I do this.
39:43Tom:Sounds like something old that only taught. But no, the top one. Now it's time you let someone else do some giving. Love is all around, no need to waste it.
40:12Hayden:You can have it down. Why don't you take it? You're gonna make it after all, is it that girl? Nope, mary Tyler Moore.
40:25Mitch:Oh Okay.
40:27Tom:Now how do?
40:27Hayden:I get over to the next one.
40:30Tom:You make playlists, right? I did oh.
40:35Mitch:Oh God, these are like early 70s.
40:39Hayden:I used to watch this show when I was a kid. I didn't understand a lot of jokes until I was older.
40:49Mitch:Oh, yeah, this is 70s for sure.
40:51Tom:Well, it ought to be like a suede suit.
40:55Mitch:If you don't know by now you don't know, Are there any of these edited sounds when it's like the lyrics are excluded.
41:01Tom:This is from the show , from the show right, right from the title card.
41:04Hayden:I have no idea. Go to once, go twice. I don't know that was taxi.
41:10Mitch:Oh, that Going twice. I don't know that was taxi. Oh, that was taxi. Tropical Go ahead. Fantasy Island Nope, I really wish my parents were here, because they'd be lighting this up.
41:31Hayden:You don't know it by now?
41:32Mitch:You don't know it. I don't know it.
41:33Hayden:Going once twice. Sex and the City oh.
41:37Mitch:Yeah, that's why we didn't know it.
41:43Tom:Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, you got it, man.
41:44Mitch:I was like by Will Smith. As soon as you hit the button, I was like Well, I was like by Will. I was like by Will Smith. As soon as you hit the button, I was like well, I was like you know, by Will Smith and Jazzy. Jeff, yeah, I could hear the lyrics.
41:52Hayden:Uh okay, I'll just give you the point. I don't know if that's true or not.
41:55Mitch:Let's go Joe, if you're born, and raised All right, Friends.
42:04Hayden:Yeah the Rembrandts. So all right, moving on.
42:10Mitch:Andy Griffith Show I buzzed in on that one.
42:14Hayden:I heard Mitch first. He's got that sound ESP thing going on All right ready and play this, here we go Ready.
42:26Mitch:Okay, happy Days.
42:30Hayden:Yes, Tom Ready.
42:32Mitch:And the name of the song is also Happy Days, yes, tom Ready, and the name of the song is also Happy Days.

45:11Hayden:Bill Cosby show. Mash For the sake of time, if you didn't get this one.
45:14Tom:I was like what is this one? I've heard this.
45:18Mitch:But there's no words in the theme song for MASH.
45:21Hayden:Oh well, oh, that's.
45:23Mitch:Johnny Mandel, by the way, and that's Suicide is Painless.
45:27Hayden:Okay, this says Television Heroes, but I'll give it to you because it sounds like you're really certain about it.
45:31Mitch:Well, it's from the movie too.
45:33Tom:So if I sound really certain, can I get the next one?
45:35Mitch:If you sound convincing enough, alright.
45:41Tom:Roseanne, yes, and I don't know the song though.
45:43Hayden:Alright, I don't know what the name is.
45:46Mitch:It says Roseanne main theme, alright.
45:47Hayden:I don't know what the name is. It says Roseanne. Main theme.
45:52Tom:All right, full house .
45:53Hayden:Yes, I don't know the song the Hollywood Primetime Orchestra. That's what Spotify says.

48:18Hayden:I always got this one and Bewitched, confused. Yes.
48:20Mitch:All right, ready Wish . We all know. The next one Bewitched the Addams Family. The Addams Family, all right.

King of the Hill no, no, it's not going once, I don't know going twice. That's not the one from the actual opening of the show.
49:38Hayden:No, it's not from King of the Hill, it's from a different show. Where's it from Parks and Rec? Oh crap, I've never watched that. Come on, tom.
49:46Tom:I've never watched that either. I haven't seen it in so long I was like alright, ready, come on , tom.
49:48Mitch:I've never watched that either. I haven't seen it in so long.
49:53Hayden:All right, ready, go ahead. Mitch Cheers. Yes, it's close there.

50:22Hayden:I said he could because I knew you were gonna have an answer. How do you know?
50:25Mitch:because you're looking dead, because I was listening, all right ready.

50:58Mitch:Yes, man it just sounds familiar.
51:01Tom:I know I've seen this show.
51:02Mitch:Yeah it just sounds so familiar.
51:08Hayden:All right, ready. We already did that one Cheers.
51:13Mitch:Major dead no.
51:14Tom:Coach.
51:16Hayden:No, no, I don't know. Don't think I meant to add this song Because it says theme from Jag, so I'm going to just move on. Okay, now we're in Pirates of the Caribbean. Apparently it's gone off on its own there.
