0:01Mitch:Yeah, look at that what?
0:03Hayden:What are we talking about, ah?
0:07Mitch:Get the energy trick, take it in Whoa.
0:12Hayden:Wow right, we're a podcast Pulsating, not a sports center. The Oakland Raiders here we go. Okay, the Oakland Raiders and Mitch. It looks like he's going to fart. What's going on there? Hello, well, well, you know what I'm, so thrown off. Just talk about social media, mitch.
0:53Tom:Tell us, mitch, what's the social media? How do they find us?
0:56Mitch:Well, you can go to entertainthispodcastcom, which will take you to our Facebook group and page, which is entertainthis or entertainthisp, this podcast. Then you can also go to our Twitter, which is at this entertained.
1:08Tom:At this dot entertained.
1:10Mitch:There's no dot.
1:11Tom:You say dot though.
1:12Mitch:No dot.
1:12Tom:Yes, you do.
1:13Mitch:I used to Not anymore .
1:15Tom:Oh, you figured it out. I did.
1:16Mitch:There is no dot when I started using Twitter a little more, I realized oh, there's not a dot.
1:20Tom:A shout out to that guy in the Russian Federation who listened to all those episodes, including the specials . Thank you, Vlad.
1:28Hayden:I don't know if your name is Vlad. I'm just going to call you Vlad Episode 90 to now. Hopefully he's like I don't know, not one of the dudes.
1:34Tom:He's probably using us to learn English.
1:36Hayden:Hopefully he's not one of the dudes like murdering innocent Ukrainians, because otherwise please don't listen to our podcast.
1:42Tom:Could you imagine? That's how people find out about our stuff in Europe. It's just a bunch of Russian soldiers sitting there listening to us.
1:49Mitch:That would be strange . They're playing that as torture music in some gut cell.
1:54Hayden:Listen to this half, whatever review.
1:57Tom:Was it like CIA Black Sides or whatever blasting Metallica.
2:02Mitch:They're just like I'm listening to us. Hello welcome to.
2:05Tom:It's a podcast.
2:06No.
2:08Hayden:Please no more. All right Movies.
2:12No, no, no.
2:13Hayden:Punishments.
2:14Mitch:No punishments.
2:15Hayden:Goodness gracious, who got punished.
2:17Mitch:I watched a movie called Fortress. Was that the name of that one?
2:21Hayden:Why did you get punished, Mitch?
2:23Mitch:Well, because I failed trivia.
2:25Hayden:And.
2:26Mitch:And then I failed. Trivia again.
2:29Hayden:And you forgot Well no, I mean you forgot to do the punishment last episode.
2:33Mitch:Well, I did, but you know it was just one at once, so it's still because I failed.
2:37Hayden:So you have two punishments for today. Yes, I do, and it's Fortress which is the Bruce Willis.
2:42Mitch:That was the name of it, right? I can't remember yeah.
2:44Hayden:And the other one was Message from Space. Okay, so go ahead and start with the Bruce Willey one.
2:49Mitch:Bruce Willey. Well, since Tom wants to poke fun at a guy with brain problems .
2:53Hayden:It's aphasia. It's not like he got kicked in the head or anything.
2:56Mitch:Yeah, he didn't get kicked in the head by a you'll think he did, because he's like.
3:04Tom:Jeez. Some people you might have found that joke insensitive.
3:08Hayden:And if you did, we don't care, bruce Willis is going to listen to this podcast.
3:12Tom:No, he's not. He's going to listen to this and not remember it, if he does.
3:16Mitch:He can gladly come on the show and cuss me out.
3:18Hayden:I don't care If he remembers what to say.
3:20Tom:Go ahead.
3:32Mitch:Yeah, bruce, if say all right, go ahead. Yeah, bruce, if you listen to this and you don't like it, why don't you come on our show? But uh, anyways, there's. It's about like this dad and son, who the son is, like this mogul, like he moves money around electronically somehow.
3:38Tom:The bitcoin.
3:38Mitch:That's his job. Like he, he takes money from one spot, puts it in another.
3:42Tom:They didn't really, that sounds very difficult. Thank god they have a guy.
3:46Mitch:But for whatever reason he's estranged from his father. He doesn't like him, they don't get along.
3:51Tom:After that Nakatomi thing.
3:54Mitch:I'll be honest, I wasn't paying enough attention to understand why they had to come back together Other than reasons. Yeah, reasons Plot. But they come back together to work on something and, like he finds out that his dad is being hunted by like he's part of the cia and these people are hunting him down to get the access codes to some kind of like massive fortune okay they come to him and, like you know, he's him and the son are like trying to trick them because they get captured. So then they're trying to trick them by like talking them out of , like stealing the money.
4:36Hayden:What? Okay, so I know that you're having a hard time reviewing this terrible movie, but you need to do better, I mean.
4:45Mitch:I don't understand really what was going on.
4:47Tom:People tune in every week to listen to you tell them about a horrible film and you are letting them down.
4:53Mitch:If you watch this movie, you'll understand why it's difficult to tell you what's going on.
4:56Hayden:Okay, plot aside, because apparently it's not anything worth caring about. Why other things was this movie bad?
5:05Mitch:besides the writing and the you know whatever. Well, you know how, like people in action scenes, they'll take cuts and like cut it all real quickly so that you know the fight scenes look like you're fast and everything. That's what they were doing with Bruce Willis' lines. Oh, with his lines. Yeah, He'd be like you know, I think, and then he'd pause, he'd cut to like his son and then he'd cut back to him. We should go and get those people cut to his son, cut back to him, and make sure we save them. It's like what?
5:32Hayden:what year was this movie? It was recent, yeah, was it really?
5:35Mitch:I don't know it was recent, that was actually a guess, but like you could tell, like he either had one like one liner, he either had one-liner kind of lines or they would break up his sentences where they would just cut back and forth to other people.
5:47Hayden:Was he doing action at all?
5:50Mitch:The only action I saw . He was literally just walking. They were looking at him through blinds. This guy, his son, was looking at him through the blinds and he's walking just with a silencer. Yeah, they had the sound going and the son goes. Was that my dad? Daddy?
6:08Hayden:Daddy, daddy.
6:12Mitch:The guy that plays the son was the guy from I don't know if you've ever seen. John Tucker Must Die, oh no.
6:17Tom:Oh that guy.
6:18Mitch:It was that guy, I can't remember his name.
6:20Tom:I have seen that film .
6:21Mitch:It's a pretty good movie. No, it's like a chick flick thing, but there's no point behind this whole movie the bad guy.
6:30Hayden:So it's like Indiana Jones Nothing they do matters in the grand scheme of things. Exactly.
6:35Tom:They're still going to get the arc, they're still going to open it, they're still going to have the audacity to try to communicate with God directly and die.
6:41Mitch:Yeah Well, Tom was right earlier. This was made in 2021.
6:45Hayden:Wow, oh was I. Yeah, oh, my God. So he was in the throes of aphasia at that moment.
6:50Mitch:Chad.
6:51Hayden:Michael Murray plays Balsary I don't know who that is , or however, you pronounce Balsary, balsary, yeah, well he's trying to Balsary.
7:01Mitch:He's like the best actor out of the whole thing, but it just looked out of place because it made everybody else do it so bad let's see he's been in. I want to say it was like the OC or something like that. I don't know. I've seen him on other things yeah, he looks familiar but like he was trying to be, I guess, kind of like the Joker from the Dark Knight with that little quizzical kind of stuff but I mean like I said he was probably the best actor in. He was trying to be, I guess, kind of like the Joker from the Dark Knight with that little quizzical kind of stuff. But I mean, like I said, he was probably the best actor in the whole thing and it just brought the whole movie to a weird point because he's acting all serious and like drama and they're all
7:35Mitch:pretty much acting confused.
7:37Tom:It's amazing that Bruce Willis has gone from like moonlighting and diehard to this .
7:42Mitch:Yeah, yeah. Well, you know, it's got Shannon Doherty where she plays some kind of like oh, she resurfaced, she plays some kind of general in this military? A general, yeah, I guess she's like for the CIA.
7:55Tom:So this is a piss poor film.
7:57Mitch:That sounds it. There's one guy that's like, basically he's.
8:01Tom:This sounds like a punishment. He's like a guard for this whole facility, like basically he's. This sounds like a punishment.
8:02Mitch:He's like a guard for this whole facility, but he's actually like saving everyone and they just don't realize it. He's like killing all these, like mercenaries coming in and everybody like he'll kill two or three and then these people will just like run out and be like oh, and just keep on going. So it's like he's killing people. The whole time he's. Nobody even knows he's there. That's funny, that was kind of funny.
8:24Hayden:Okay, so that was not a good movie.
8:28Mitch:No, you give it a what out of what. I give it a 2.5.
8:36Hayden:Out of 10? Okay, a .5 really makes a difference.
8:39Mitch:Just to put it above Cats, because I still don't like Cats.
8:42Tom:All right, so this was like almost as bad.
8:45Mitch:Almost as bad as Cats .
8:46Tom:But not if it was a musical, then yes, it would be If there was furry people singing Well just because I had no idea what was going on, and then the lines were so bad.
8:56Hayden:What about your other movie?
8:58Mitch:Message from Space Did you like that movie. It's essentially like people that make Power Rangers tried to make Star Wars.
9:07Hayden:And how did that work out? Not well, I'm assuming.
9:09Mitch:Well, it was made in the 70s.
9:11Tom:It was used as a punishment? So probably not.
9:12Mitch:well, it was made in the 70s. So if you were watching it in the 70s it was probably pretty impressive for Japan and stuff. Because, that would be early Sentai stuff for Power Rangers stuff, but I mean it literally was the exact same. There was a dog looking man, there was the two like Asian actors were in space, like coming back to their planet to find and talk to his dad. And there's this like blonde haired princess.
9:37Hayden:Yeah.
9:39Mitch:They actually had like ships that looked like pirate ships in space, like they were shaped like that. They had sails, they space they were shaped like that.
9:45Hayden:They had sails.
9:46Mitch:They dropped anchors and stuff like that. They did have sails.
9:49Hayden:That's funny.
9:50Mitch:But the main heroes. They had a flat ship that almost looked like the Millennium Falcon. Really they had swords Instead of laser swords. They had the hilt and then they would just hold it up, and then the metal would just like chink , chink out like yeah, that's funny but uh, the uh like the prep. I guess the best, or I say best, the funny part was, uh, when they go back to save the dad, uh-huh, the dad, the mom and his sister are in this like cottage and they're in there fighting. People are well, they're in there like doing their thing. And then these ninjas, I guess they're like ninjas space ninjas pretty much. They're wearing a little almost like it's like motors across armor.
10:33Hayden:Okay, but they biker space space bikers space Mad Max .
10:40Mitch:Well, the the dad, you know, he's secretly like this old warrior so he beats up all of them and then, like out of nowhere, they're surprised because like the main, like Darth Vader-esque kind of guy is like crouched in the corner of the ceiling when he turns around , he just goes, ha, and he like lands like da-da-da. Really, what is? He doing so did he have like what are you doing?
11:03Hayden:So did he have like a get up and a helmet and stuff like that he had like the same kind of stuff as them, as the other soldiers.
11:10Mitch:But he had a cape and his helmet. You could see his whole face, but it was like cut out in a weird pattern. And then he had horns that like went off each side Because he's evil, but then like they all have these special weapons or stuff. But when the dad dies it looks like he got stabbed in the back with a steak knife.
11:28Hayden:Oh really that's what it looked like. I wasn't expecting that. You seem medium rare.
11:37Mitch:And then, when the son finally gets back to the planet, he sees that his family's dead. So then he goes on his revenge quest.
11:43Hayden:Was there like magic and force and stuff?
11:44Mitch:Like.
11:44Hayden:Uncle Owen and Emperor Like a glow in an emperor.
11:46Mitch:They didn't really have the glowing and stuff. They had, like I guess, music that I guess you could feel you know something.
11:53Hayden:Music, so they had like spider senses.
11:55Mitch:Well, you know like.
11:56Hayden:Peter Tingle Kind of like.
11:58Mitch:what do you call it? The Russian Lord of the Rings? When Gandalf would do magic, he would be, you know, whatever.
12:06Tom:No, that wasn't magic . That was just him holding a candle while he spun it around and the camera went.
12:11Hayden:oh, oh, no fire.
12:14Tom:Well, that was magic to them.
12:17Mitch:Well, basically in this movie, the son goes, you know, trying to hunt down the guy that killed his family, the bad man. They end up in a rock quarry, just like all the Power Rangers stuff, and that's where they're fighting Honestly, yes. And that rock quarry, that's brutally accurate.
12:32Hayden:That's funny.
12:32Mitch:But they end up there and these ninjas. There's literally a hole in the ground that's not made for the movie. It just looks like somebody dug out some dirt and these people just jump out of it. Well, they start fighting. He's starting to lose.
12:51Hayden:Well then his Han Solo-esque buddy comes in and helps save him. Did they bolt on into a giant robot?
12:53Mitch:or anything they didn't.
12:54Hayden:I was kind of surprised by that, yeah, the Millennium Falcon didn't transmorph or something. No, it's a robot.
13:00Mitch:Millennium Falcon battle mode the guy that's like the Han Solo of this group. He comes in with his pistol and starts shooting at the people, and the Luke Skywalker-esque guy just whips out his sword again. I don't know, why he dropped it to begin with. But, they start fighting and then something happens where the two good guys get separated from the bad guys and they have a standoff, and then the bad guys are like, well, we'll'll get you next time. And then they literally just jump back into the hole and they're gone yeah we'll be here for the sequel.
13:32Hayden:We'll see you next year.
13:34Mitch:I don't know like what they were doing, but the yeah, the uh, the guy that's like the. The chewy is like, he's all furry just like Chewbacca, but his face is just like this awkward man looking dog.
13:48Hayden:Man bear pig. It makes Chewie look like Chewie. He's a mog Half man half dog.
13:53Tom:He's his own best friend.
13:54Hayden:His name is Barf.
13:55Tom:You know the His name is Barf, played by John Candy.
13:57Mitch:I can't remember the character in Star Wars that has, like the gill Things on his face, not the Admiral. Ackmar, not him, the one that works with Lando Caruzzi.
14:04Tom:Oh, his co-pilot in Return of the Jedi.
14:06Mitch:This guy almost looks like him, but with fur Like his face Wow so basically they saw Star Wars went.
14:14Tom:We could do that for money and just cheap.
14:17Mitch:Yeah, but the princess kind of looked like the princess off of Zelda. Well, it looks like Zelda oh okay, she had like the blonde hair. I couldn't tell if she had pointy ears, but she had like the little tiara thing.
14:29Hayden:Oh, she was beautiful .
14:32Mitch:So what would you rate this one I'd give it a five because probably at the time it was probably pretty good.
14:37Hayden:Well, you're better at punishing Mitch than I am Good job, Tom.
14:40Mitch:I mean, I didn't like this, but I could see where it would yeah, but you didn't like it enough.
14:46Tom:Yeah, you need to hate it. That's what we're looking for on this show.
14:50Hayden:All right, let's move into movies. Go ahead, I did, I don't know.
14:57Tom:The Mitch Power Hour continues. Go ahead, mitch, if you want to switch to something else. Join us back in about 15 minutes, well.
15:03Mitch:I watched Sonic 2, and I liked it, even though Hayden already said he didn't like it, I fell asleep.
15:07Hayden:I'm not going to lie like a third of the way through the movie.
15:10Mitch:I had to watch it in two parts because I watched half of it. We had something we had to do and I had to come back and watch the other half, but it was pretty fun.
15:15Hayden:I liked seeing Tails than Knuckles and Tails which they did very well, though I felt like there was the whole Chaos. Emerald shenanigans.
15:31Mitch:Yeah, they introduced the. Was it the Emerald? I can't remember Something Emerald.
15:38Yeah.
15:39Mitch:But that's how.
15:41Hayden:It makes you super sane.
15:42Mitch:Well, no, this one gave Different continuity. Eggman the power to power this giant robot, which I mean it was fun, just a fun little movie.
15:53Hayden:Yeah, the human banter was kind of annoying when they had.
15:59Mitch:I will give you that yeah.
16:00Hayden:The whole wedding scene. The human banter. Human words yeah, they cut away to like. What's his name? Cyclops, I can't remember his name.
16:09Tom:Yeah, I just remember him as Cyclops, something Marsden. Yeah, james Marsden, I think so I'm like you're either Cyclops or you're the dude from 27 Dresses.
16:17Hayden:That's it yeah yeah, and he uh being in a chest, but anyways he was at a wedding and he was trying to distance himself from the cartoony characters.
16:29Mitch:The shenanigans.
16:34Hayden:And it just felt like a really crappy Lifetime comedy or something like that, where they were having these weird little inside jokes, Sidebar conversations.
16:39Mitch:Well, I felt like the whole people trying to capture Sonic was really just dumb. It's like why?
16:44Hayden:What are you bothering?
16:44Mitch:That's true why are you bothering doing that?
16:46Hayden:Yeah, they're jacked up.
16:47Mitch:Because he's different.
16:49He's blue, he's a hedgehog, they all have tasers.
16:52Hayden:With shoes and I have guns.
16:54Mitch:They have tasers oh wow, that's what we're moving to now, in the future of television between Knuckles and Sonic when they're like when Sonic's trying to figure out who the heck he is.
17:03Hayden:Yeah, the Winter. Soldier. Yeah, bucky, that was hilarious yeah.
17:11Mitch:They're skiing down the mountain and stuff and they open the little portal and a bunch of snow comes through and I don't know.
17:16Hayden:I liked it yeah.
17:22I liked Tails being in there.
17:24Mitch:They didn't have to. They didn't take like an hour to explain why he's imported.
17:29Tom:They realize you know a lot of you have played the games. Here's kind of a quick. You know, for the film I've played the games.
17:34Hayden:I don't know what's going on. You just kill robots and save little furry things that pop out of them and get the circles.
17:39Tom:Yeah, get the circles , the little golden rings.
17:41Hayden:The little golden rings, yeah, which do cooler stuff in the show or the movies than they do in the games.
17:46Mitch:Yeah.
17:47Hayden:But that's plot device.
17:48Mitch:I like they're going through the little tunnels with all the traps.
17:51Hayden:Well, because of this movie, there's going to be a slew of crappy video game movies coming out.
17:56Mitch:There are, you know so brace yourselves. But they've already approved for a Knuckles TV show on, I think, Paramount.
18:03Hayden:Really, and Idris Elba's going to do it. Yeah, it's kind of funny.
18:06Mitch:And then I think they've already approved for a Sonic 3. So I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
18:12Hayden:If Jim Carrey comes back.
18:14Tom:I don't think he is. I saw some article where he was done, he's retiring and this was his last Spoiler.
18:30Mitch:Spoiler warning retiring. But like and this was like his last spoiler, spoiler warning if you're listening, you don't want to hear spoilers. Spoilers for sonic spurler. All of our listeners just turned off at the end. Uh, they show. Uh, shadow is part of the universe, so he's getting like released from this.
18:37Hayden:Uh who's shadow?
18:38Mitch:shadow the hedgehog who's? That he's like an evil sonic, like a clone or something like that oh, I remember that there was a game where he has guns I don't know. Yeah, it was a weird sonic game but he, he's basically like an evil sonic. I don't know if he's a clone or what, but he's, he's shadow. That's what they're getting released from where he was in some kind of like vat of like chemicals and stuff and he was like at the end they show like a teaser tank pretty much where he's like being released and his eyes light up red and then he cuts to black.
19:07Hayden:Okay, well, all right .
19:09Mitch:There's that?
19:10Hayden:What news have you?
19:11Mitch:Well, let me pull it back up. I have a phone you do I have a phone Well because it's me, I'm going to talk about a comic book thing which I don't know why they're making it, but they're making an El Morte. You have a phone. Well, because it's me, I'm going to talk about a comic book thing which I don't know why they're making it, but they're making an El Morte and a Madam Web movie. We've talked about the Madam Web From Spider-Man.
19:36Hayden:Yeah, mm-hmm, it's played by the girl from Fifty Shades of Grey.
19:42Mitch:They're making that.
19:42Tom:Dakota Johnson.
19:43Mitch:Yes, but I don't know why we need a Madam Web movie, tom watches Fifty Shades of Grey .
19:51Tom:I have seen the first one.
19:52Hayden:Well, there you go. How many times Once, fifty times, in different forms of grey.
19:58Tom:I've seen all Fifty Shades.
20:00Mitch:They're making an El Morte, which the main character for that, or the actor, is going to be Bad Bunny, which is like a Bad Bunny. Yeah, he's like a Latin rapper. I guess what.
20:10Hayden:Okay.
20:11Mitch:But I don't know why he's going to be like the main Is it. Marvel. Yeah Well, this will be part of the Morbius, part of the Morbius, that's the Sony.
20:19Tom:So the crappy Marvel? Yeah, we already know what happened with Morbius. What are?
20:22Mitch:you talking about. It's getting released in theaters again. For a day it already tanked, but it's getting released in theaters again.
20:27Tom:They're like this movie got re-released. What is it getting Shut up, tom ?
20:37Hayden:What is it getting released in theaters for? I don't know.
20:39Tom:Jared Leto is the star of a crappy DC film and a crappy Marvel film. He did the double.
20:47Mitch:Anyways, Doctor Strange is going to come out on Disney Plus on June 22nd.
20:51Hayden:Okay.
20:52Mitch:That's a superior film.
20:53Hayden:That didn't do very well in comparison to the other MCU movies.
20:56Tom:Yeah, I thought it was in like the top eight for box office for an opener.
21:01Hayden:I think it grows 338 right now, okay, which is good. Not in comparison to like the 600, 700 million that other movies have done.
21:09Tom:I mean you can't really compare it to like Infinity War and Endgame.
21:12Mitch:Top Gun's already at 387. Exactly.
21:16Hayden:But we've been waiting for that since 1986. But what's crazy about Top Gun is that usually every week the ratings will drop about 60% or 70%, because all the people who want to see the movie have already seen it. Top Gun's only dropped 33%.
21:28Tom:It's because everybody's like I've seen it again.
21:30Mitch:I still haven't got a chance to see it. I still haven't seen it yet.
21:33Hayden:I'd say the word-of-mouth game, for that is super strong.
21:37Mitch:And then next, South Park has released their new South Park movie. It's a giant middle finger to streaming platforms.
21:45Hayden:I watched it. It was hilarious. Streaming Wars yeah, I haven't seen it yet, but I want to check into it.
21:51Mitch:It was pretty funny. That's all my news now.
21:55Hayden:All I got to say is this corporate guy hires ManBearPig to murder a bunch of people. Manbearpig shows up to kill of people. Manbearpig shows up to kill a guy, he gets ready to snap his neck, he reaches in his pocket and pulls out a switchblade and just stings him. Why, manbearpig? They're just making fun of stupid stuff, like that it was hilarious.
22:18Tom:They could do what they want. Trey Parker or Batstuck could do whatever they want. It was hilarious. They could do what they wanted. Jay Parker and Matt Stowe could do whatever they wanted.
22:23Hayden:Yeah, it was a big middle finger to Paramount and to Comedy Central.
22:27Mitch:The bad part is that's both of their platforms. I know and they don't care.
22:31Hayden:What are they going to do? Not pay them, it's.
22:33Tom:South.
22:34Hayden:Park. They realize what they have. They've been begging to be canceled for years now.
22:39Tom:And no one will. They to be canceled for years now and no one will.
22:41They're on two different platforms.
22:42Tom:They're pushing the edge. Give them more money.
22:46They're like damn it, we're effing it up in reverse, they're trying.
22:50Hayden:So hard and they can't All right TV. I watched the show. There's nine episodes but only eight of them are out right now and I've watched all eight. I did. It's called the offer and this is a show about the uh biographical drama of uh Al Ruddy, the main producer, like he's like the guy that puts up the fires for the production of the Godfather, and I have you know, I I work in film somewhat, so I have a special appreciation for that kind of.
23:26Thing.
23:26Hayden:And to see like just the absolute cluster of making that movie.
23:33Tom:They didn't want Brando, they wanted to fire Pacino.
23:36Hayden:Yeah, no, they never wanted Pacino, no at all.
23:39Tom:And even during it they wanted to fire him until the when they saw the scene.
23:43Hayden:Where they're in the where he kills Salasso and McCluskey. They captured all of that. They captured how like close there was to not being a Pacino, a Brando, you know, not shooting in Sicily, all sorts of stuff, and then the mob actually being involved in the production of the movie.
24:00Tom:Yeah.
24:01Hayden:Yeah, and like threatening people and all sorts of stuff. It's a phenomenal story.
24:06Tom:That's why the Godfather, the first one, is the pinnacle of mob film. The mob, even like, endorsed it Pretty much. They were like we're about this film, you guys are doing it right, they basically came.
24:18Hayden:So this guy, joe Colombo, he's like the representative of the mob.
24:21Tom:The Colombo crime family? Yeah, one of the five.
24:24Hayden:He met with Al Ruddy and he's, you know like, after threatening him, he was like you know, what can I do to make this movie go away? And he's like how about we make you look good for the movie? We have like a good story about family and blah, blah, blah. And he's like I tell you what we will take the word mafia out of this movie. You'll never hear it. And that's what they did. And that was the concession they made. And then it became really good friends. And then he was like you know, if you have any problems, let me know. And and and sure enough, there was lots like showed up. And you know like this is the location we're gonna be shooting at. And the guy's like no, and then the mob's like sit down, show up
25:05Hayden:and they're like yeah, yeah, pretty much so what you're saying, yeah and I was like man, that'd be so cool if I had the mob helping me make a movie, backing you up especially like that time where it was like the mob not now it's like you know you don't hear about it, but back then it it was like oh, you got them, oh, okay.
25:24Mitch:Show for the baseball bat.
25:26Hayden:It's got Miles Teller plays Al Ruddy, the main guy. It's got Giovanna Ripsy as Joe Colombo, colin Hanks and Juno Temple, and one of the things I really appreciate about this show, more than I ever thought I would, was the relationship that Al Ruddy has with his secretary, juno Temple. It's entirely platonic About two characters that have all this relationship, drama with whatever, and you think that they're going to hook up and they don't. They don't, they're just completely cordial.
25:59Tom:They're co-workers.
26:00Hayden:Yes, and they keep it . That way it can happen. It's one of the like I can only count on, like one finger maybe . How many times there's a? There's a lead male and a lead female and they don't hook up? You know, and it's just great to see that you know. So I I really appreciate that in this uh the story and just the insanity that this uh production company uh.
26:21Tom:Cause, I think then they go through troubles just trying to get the rights to Mario Puzo's book.
26:26Hayden:Yeah, Because the mob was threatening him for making that book.
26:30Tom:you know, and uh, but I think that was one of the things like the mob thought that they had like informants inside the mob because of how accurate the book was.
26:38Hayden:Well yes and no they, they, they a lot accurate. The book was Well yes and no. A lot of them didn't read it. They just assumed it was going to be some sort of like Sam Spade filth kind of crap. Paramount goes to really great lengths just to showcase about how I don't know crass and seedy .
26:57Tom:They were about movies back in the day, I think there was actually certain instances with the plot of the Godfather, where the mob was like no, we wouldn't have done it like that, we would have done this Right.
27:07Hayden:And they rewrote a scene to kind of just showcase how it would have played out, but Paramount is the distributor for the show that you watch today and they're the ones that made the movie back in the day.
27:19So, and they're the ones that made the movie back in the day, so they're villainizing themselves in the show, which is well not villainizing.
27:24Hayden:They're kind of like an obstacle. Showing their mistakes, yeah, and how you know cocaine and money and you know all sorts of crazy stuff.
27:33Tom:You do a lot of stuff with money and coke. Yeah, you can make the best crime movie ever.
27:38Hayden:Pretty cool yeah, the dude that was president over Paramount, his name is Bob Evans and that guy is wild. He's interesting, so you know he's on drugs the whole time. So but yeah, and it kind of showcases a really weird point in film where it starts to bleed from that weird kind of artesian early 70s, 60s kind of hippie crap to the more blockbuster mainstream you know what you're used to in the 80s, kind of stuff and this is like one of the the focal points and how films get driven that way. So I highly recommend it, even if, if you don't care about the godfather, just to see how film production works, especially back then it's, it's a really cool experience, um, so I just recommend seeing the godfather.
28:21Tom:yeah, like my wife, I just recommend seeing the Godfather.
28:23Hayden:My wife had no interest in seeing the Godfather and we really got into the show and she's like let's watch the Godfather. I was like no, let's finish the show first. We're going to wait until the final episode comes out, and then we'll watch the Godfather.
28:34Tom:The Godfather is one of the best movies ever made.
28:36Hayden:It's a good movie.
28:38Tom:This is a really good show maybe, so this is a really good show, mitch. I don't think you've seen it.
28:43Mitch:I've seen the first one, that's it, that's. That's the only one you need to see. I mean two's all right, three we don't discuss. I couldn't tell you the last time I actually saw it, but it's been a while, but I've seen it you're gonna watch.
28:51Tom:You gotta have, like you know, some pasta and some sauce and some garlic bread ready it does make you hungry, all right.
28:56Hayden:Moving on to uh the show, I give it a 9 out of 10. I'm not gonna I don't want to go in depth about like some issues with it, but it's a phenomenal show To news, there's a Netflix show coming out called man vsB starring Rowan Atkinson. Is that enough for you to want to watch it? Yes, you sold me.
29:22Tom:It's a whole show you gave me the title man vs Bee, b-e-e. Yes, and I was like all right. And then you said Rowan Atkinson.
29:30Mitch:And I was like I'm in .
29:32Hayden:It's a whole show. I'm sold, Mr Bean. Mr Bean or.
29:36Tom:Black Ad or Johnny English, whatever you want.
29:38Hayden:It's the whole show. Is Roan Atkinson trying to kill a bee in his house? That's it.
29:42Tom:That's the premise it's just like Mr Bean it's a prolonged skit pretty much now.
29:48Hayden:The episodes are like 10 minutes long, so they seem kind of, like you know, obviously family friendly and it's just it's a lot, probably a lot of slapstick. Yeah, it's not where you're watching an hour of a man running around his house trying to kill a bee. It's just going to be little bits here and there, but it sounds kind of fun.
30:04Tom:I can watch that.
30:04Hayden:Yeah, and that's all I really have for TV news. There wasn't anything too exciting coming out, unless you guys can think of anything.
30:13Tom:I mean, I was hoping you were going to give me Blackadder season five. No, is that a thing?
30:18Hayden:No People have been waiting for it since like 1989.
30:28Mitch:Well, I haven't heard anything about it, Other than that I got nothing else for TV. I know the Raised by Wolves show on.
30:31Hayden:HBO Max. It got canceled after the second season.
30:32Mitch:It was the third season I think Was it second season.
30:34Hayden:Yeah, Okay well.
30:38Tom:There's rumors about a Darth Vader show now from the current reviews for the Obi-Wan show Rumors.
30:42Yeah, we'll see.
30:43Tom:This is something I've been hoping for, since, like the first couple episodes of this show. We'll see.
30:48Hayden:Almost three years ago. If they made it the Obi-Wan show into a movie, I think it would have been a lot better. But yeah, Raised by Wolves, I was into it. Still, I can see why it got canceled though. Yeah, All right, Vigi games. Games.
31:05Tom:Well, well, we played a game, all of us. We played Generation Zero. All of what? Two hours maybe, yeah, and that's a lot longer than we've played most games. It's a first-person shooter developed by and published by Avalanche Studios, announced and released in 2018. And then also in March of 2019 on console and PC. It's on Game Pass. Yes, it's on Game Pass. It's free. It takes place in 1989 in post-apocalyptic Sweden.
31:35Hayden:Oh is that why we couldn't understand what they were saying. That's why.
31:37Tom:I had to look that up . I was like where is this happening? It's in the 80s and it's in Sweden.
31:42Hayden:There you go.
31:43Tom:So you start the game as a sort of teenager, young man. Or woman or woman, depending on how you want to create your character.
31:51Hayden:You have to be inclusive you have to be inclusive.
31:53Tom:You go into your town and all the townsfolk have disappeared or died or died, most likely died. But you know, obviously you have to investigate further in this small sea town of Sweden. Yeah, with your Ikea furniture and meatballs and fondue. Yeah, and there's little robots or big robots who want to kill you, or even bigger robots, or even bigger robots. While you loot and pillage your way from town to town, killing said robots, lighting stuff on fire, looting cars, houses, stealing people's belongings while you search for truth. So it's a looter shooter.
32:34Hayden:Yeah, you can call it that, it's clunky gameplay it is.
32:40Tom:The controls for gameplay are very clunky. The mechanics for inventory through the menu also are kind of clunky. Yeah, there's no explanation.
32:48Hayden:There's no like. How'd you do that?
32:50Tom:Anytime a voiceover happens, you get limited English , but they're yelling at you in Swedish. So unless you speak Swedish, you really don't know what's going on. You're just going from town to town.
33:01Mitch:I just remember trying to open a door and I kept like I'd push towards it and I'd like float past it. I'm like no, go back.
33:06Tom:I got floating past the door, so like the locking controls for, like you know, obviously you go up to a door, go up to a car, go up to some sort of bag or crate or something that's on the. It's like you have to be very precise. It's almost like you're sniping . You have to be very precise to get to it. The graphics aren't horrible, but they aren't great considering what we have right now.
33:30Hayden:It would have been okay in 2018.
33:32Tom:In 2018, this would have been an above average.
33:38Hayden:Today it's just kind of like Across the board most of the reviews are about.
33:41Mitch:They're mixed, it's pretty much 50 50 I feel like it's above average in completeness, even in the little bit that we play. It's fair yeah difficulty in.
33:50Tom:I mean like, oh, some of the close-up stuff that you see as far as graphics like weapons and things like the shotgun, like the rust stuff that you know you see on certain points of the of the weapon and you know like the wearing out of, like you know you see on certain points of the weapon and you know like the wearing out of, like you know, wood grips or whatever on the stock. It's pretty to look at Other stuff, it just looks like crap yeah.
34:08Mitch:Especially at distance, pretty cookie cutter.
34:09Hayden:As far as like the buildings and stuff, yes, you don't really understand the robots, what they're doing, why they're there and what their like mission is where did they come from?
34:17Tom:from?
34:17Hayden:They're just like you start and it's like here we go. Yeah, it's something. They look kind of like Michael Bay Transformers coming at you and you're just like what is that?
34:25Tom:and just shoot it till it explodes and, like some of them, kind of like they run kind of fast to get the flank on you, and then they start shooting at you and they miss 80% of their shots and you just and it explodes and kills them.
34:38Hayden:Oh, I didn't even know there was a Wii 4. I figured that out, yes, oh, okay.
34:40Tom:You didn't notice that.
34:42Hayden:I just shot until they blew up. Fair enough, me too.
34:44Tom:Which you can do. It's very applicable. It's just an all right kind of game, you know.
34:52Hayden:Yeah, if we go back to it, okay, if we don't, I understand.
34:56Mitch:I think we've already deleted it.
34:58Tom:There's no reason for me to go back to this time it's no Golf with Friends, that's for sure. It's definitely not Golf with Friends. Sir Alright, what's your news, tom? Fans have called upon Sega to delay Sonic Frontiers following their gameplay reveal Because apparently they didn't like it, which, if they have any sort of what is the point of quality control for video games? Well, no, no no, why this is interesting to me is because it's Sonic, because last time the fandom lashed out, they actually listened to them and fixed it. Yeah, who, I guess Paramount did , because yes, for the first Sonic with the eyes and the teeth design and they were like what are you doing?
35:41No we're not going to see this movie.
35:42Tom:Fix it now, and they went okay. And they did. So, apparently there was like a seven-minute alpha-alpha release. I guess that came out. Pre-alpha that came out. It already has like 50,000 dislikes. The footage everybody's just like this is dumb. This is stupid. What have you done? And they're just giving the business.
36:06Hayden:But what's the point of quality control for video games if the fans are like no, you need to delete it? Their job is to be like this game's not ready. And they put a video online and the fans are like this is trash , are like this is trash, you know yeah.
36:20Tom:They're like okay, we'll fix it.
36:22Hayden:Like video games are so weird. Right now, Everything's about a market and how to just get your money yeah.
36:28Tom:In other news Witcher 3, which came out seven years ago yeah, they're doing a remake of it. They're doing a remake for the next-gen consoles yeah. And Cyberpunk DLC yes, I'm very excited about this. Fall Guys, next month is coming out To Xbox, xbox to everything . It's finally going to come out free to play all across the board. Okay, cool. This was, at one point, the most downloaded game on Steam when it was released originally on PC. This is like a Battle.
36:58Hayden:Royale puzzle game. This is Battle.
36:59Tom:Royale puzzles with the drunk wonky robots and weird skins and you can grab people and go and you have to like run obstacle courses as a battle royale. It's very funny, it's very entertaining. It's going to come out June 21st Interesting.
37:13All right.
37:13Tom:Which I'm very excited about, because I can't wait to play this with you guys.
37:17Hayden:Okay.
37:17Tom:Because I'm totally going to grab Hayden and just yeet him off a cliff.
37:21Hayden:Why me?
37:21Tom:Because you deserve it.
37:23Mitch:Because he knows I'll fall anyways.
37:25Tom:Yeah, Mitch will grab onto me and go. We go together. You'll get mad, and that's funny Is friendly, fire a.
37:32Hayden:Thing.
37:32Yes, let's find out.
37:35Hayden:That was the first thing I did in Generation Zero.
37:38Mitch:Shoot Mitch. He tried to see if I died.
37:40Tom:I'm putting explosive barrels behind Hayden Like I wonder.
37:45Mitch:Yeah, Tom's putting them down to shoot. And as soon as Tom stepped away , I shot him.
37:50Tom:I was wondering why they blew up. I was like, is this like a timer?
37:54Mitch:I just looked and saw those around Hayden. I was like huh Pow.
37:59Tom:So there you go and video game news and reviews.
38:04Hayden:All right. So what's this? Trivia Mitch?
38:07Mitch:Well, it's extensive. The Boys trivia.
38:10Hayden:Okay, just to be fair , tom has recently binge-watched the Boys the first time, correct?
38:16Tom:Yes.
38:18Hayden:I watched the Boys when they came out. I just started the most recent season because the first three episodes dropped, and so you have a more fresh knowledge. I'm already counting my lines.
38:27Mitch:He says to be fair, to be fair. I announced the night that we recorded last time that this is what we're.
38:34It's been a busy week for me. Regardless, I got to say that this is my buzzer.
38:39Tom:This is mine and watch me drop the ball tremendously while Mitch asks his niche questions.
38:46Hayden:Before we get started , though, I got to say how much I really appreciate this show, because this show's great Every time. I haven't seen it until this binge. The part in the second episode where A-Train is trying to appeal to the black audience to stay relevant and his like little minion guy who's another black dude is just like this is this is selling our soul. I was like, thank you, thank you. Somebody out there is saying like all the whole woke crap, the, the lgbtq theme park and stuff like that.
39:17Mitch:I was like oh he's like no, this is not good dude this movie like this
39:21Hayden:show just spoofs and lampoons so much, it's so great, I love it All. Right, go ahead, mitch.
39:28Mitch:All right. Well, we'll start with number one. Who was the first super? Yes, tim Stormfront. No, oh, who was the first super ? You see in the Boys?

39:50Mitch:boys, like the boys the show. Okay, the first, first superhero that you see is it starlight?

40:04You never see.
40:04Tom:Translucent. No. First Super Use.
40:08Mitch:Very first scene of the show. Oh man.
40:16Tom:You already said A-Train, didn't you? Yeah, it's not.
40:18Hayden:A-Train. It's somebody that Butcher kills, right no? Oh, is it Queen Maeve? It's somebody that Butcher kills, right no?
40:22Tom:Is it Queen?
40:23Mitch:Maeve, it is she's like breaking up a bank robbery. She breaks them up and then Homelander shows up at the end of that.
40:31He's like what's up.
40:32Mitch:Alright, number two, what is the name of the group of main supers?

41:38Tom:Yeah, I did. They put C4. I heard him first.
41:40Hayden:No, you know you didn't. Yeah, I did. They put C4 up his butt and blowed him. Yes, Thank you, Tom for reminding me.

42:08Hayden:A-Train races on TV to keep his fastest man alive title Skid Mark.
42:13Mitch:He's also like. Later on, they try to replace him with this person too.
42:17Tom:Yeah, until he gets destroyed. Yeah, until he gets his head blown up.
42:26Hayden:It's like I don't know what he's saying. I can't remember. He's in it for like two seasons .
42:30Tom:I know he has Oakley Jawbreaker sunglasses because I have the exact same ones. Of course you do. But mine aren't obnoxiously painted.
42:38Hayden:Yes, they are. No, they're not.
42:40Tom:They're all black with blue lenses. I don't know it's like something shock or something.
42:49Mitch:You want to make a guess?
42:54Hayden:Command 10.
42:58Tom:I can't think of anything. Shockwave.
43:00Mitch:Shockwave, damn it. That was really close, it was All right. Number eight what does the character MM's initial stand for ?
43:08Tom:Mother's milk.
43:11Hayden:Well, give Mitch a chance to point who's got it.
43:15Mitch:He's pulling a yeah, I'm pulling a. You, he's pulling a power trip.
43:18Hayden:Yeah, I'm waiting patiently. You should give me the point for that. Thanks for the point, mitch. Never know.
43:29Mitch:What is Starlight's real name?
43:32Tom:Yes, Annie January yes.
43:37Hayden:I didn't know.

43:57Mitch:The deep broke into ocean land. To save what?
44:01Hayden:A dolphin. Yes, that was a great scene, it was.
44:05It goes flying in the windshield, all right number 12 .
44:17Mitch:What revelation do Butcher and MM in the hospital in the NICU?
44:25Hayden:That the babies are given the compound B.
44:32Mitch:Now, how did Butcher and MM escape the security team?
44:37Tom:Using the baby's laser vision to kill the guards.
44:45Hayden:He's shaking the baby to get the laser All right number 14.
44:50Mitch:What is Kimiko's power? Super strength. Can I go? That's not her. That's something that all of us have. I already talked about her invincibility. Can I go?
45:01Hayden:Can I go Super healing? Yes, thank you.
45:04Tom:She can punch through walls.
45:06Mitch:She rips people's heads off. A lot of them can do that, starlight can do that, but that's not her main power. It can do that, starlight can do that, but that's not her main power.
45:14Hayden:It's a power. Well, that's not what I was looking for.
45:16Mitch:I answered it better, tom, just admit defeat Number 15. What do you find out about Homelander's origin and history? I thought I heard a hiss.
45:24Tom:Alright, he was raised in a lab.
45:27Mitch:Yes, his original history is all fake.
45:30Tom:He didn't come from space Like Superman.
45:36Mitch:All right, number 16. Who do the good guys go to to have Kimiko's past?
45:39Hayden:revealed Korea? I don't remember.

46:09Hayden:They go to Homelander . I don't know.
46:13Tom:Haley Jo Osmond's character.
46:14Hayden:That's right.
46:15Tom:Which is called they go to Homelander Haley Jo Osmond's character that's right which is called the Handshake Guy Hand job. I don't know what that's called .
46:23Mitch:That would probably make a lot of sense for the show it would it, would, it really would.
46:27Tom:He had a TV show. He was a New York City cop, apparently Shaking hands solving crimes, mesmer, mesmer. Mesmer the Mesmerizer that was the name of the show All right number 17. I don't get a point for that.
46:38Mitch:No.
46:39Tom:Oh.
46:40Mitch:Number 17. When Yui has to go home to save his dad from A-Train, who helps him? Surprise.
46:47Hayden:Starlight no, all right.
46:49Tom:Kimiko.
46:50Hayden:Yes, darn it, I don't remember.
47:02Mitch:How did Yui survive his fight?
47:02Hayden:with A-Train at the end. He has a heart attack. Yeah, a-train has a heart attack. Yeah, he's ODing on.
47:07Tom:Compound V Wait, was it the fight in the subway?
47:11Mitch:I don't know if it's a subway, I just know that they're escaping. It's when Starlight comes to save him.
47:15Tom:Okay, stop. He starts to beat him up. Okay, stop, all right.
47:19Mitch:Let's see, okay, number 19. Who does Ashley introduce to Homelander to replace Trey? Want me to read the rest of that?
47:34Tom:I know who it is. I don't remember his name.
47:38Hayden:I would like for you to read the rest of it, Mitch.

Well, it was me and Tom of their off relentlessly and attempt to beat each other no matter how long it takes but you know you didn't lose by much considering he's got one of the three point questions too, so yeah oh, there it is um.
1:00:01Tom:Have we done deadlock yet I? Don't know I don't know. Deadlock, okay. Bruce wilson, patrick muldoon. Deadlock is a harrowing tale of one brave man who has to go to work with a hangover.
