0:01Tom:Are you ready? Can you dig it? What movie is that from?

0:09Mitch:I don't know, that was two totally opposite things.

0:12Tom:The Warriors.

0:13Mitch:Oh.

0:14Tom:Can you dig it?

0:17Mitch:I was thinking of like DX from WWE. Are you ready?

0:22Tom:Have you seen the Warriors?

0:23Mitch:I think once it's the one where they're running through New York. Yeah, the gang's chasing them.

0:29Tom:Yes, I have. Hello. Welcome to Entertain this. It's a podcast about movies, tv shows and video games. My name is Tom. With me I got Mitch and Grandma Baggins, because we still don't have a Hayden button yet. Mitch, I know I'm Hayden.

0:44Mitch:I'll work on it tomorrow, so we'll have it next time. And then We'll get a meh button .

0:51Tom:Just go back to any episode he's in. He'll do it at least once, or?

0:55Mitch:twice, you'll find it .

0:56Tom:What do you think about it? Meh, I like it. You know he's going to listen to these others and he's going to be like I hate you guys, I hate you too. He's going to come back and go. I wrote all this crap down. I hate both of you.

1:14Mitch:It's going to be the Hayden rant. It'll be fun, though, yeah.

1:16Tom:I miss our third chair.

1:17Mitch:Yeah.

1:17Tom:Because I just look over and he's not sitting there.

1:19Mitch:We don't have simple Hayden. Simple Hayden, simple Hayden. When he's tired, yeah, his hair just goes. His slicked back hair is all flipped forward and dried out. He's just like you, mama, make me happy.

1:36Tom:I miss playing video games. And then you know the constant text thread. If one of us isn't on Hayden Hayden, hayden, hayden, hayden, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tam Tam , he just descends into Eric Hartman. Tam Tam, my name is not Tam Mitch, mitch, mitch Hall, mitch, moj.

1:57Mitch:You just get like 1,500 texts.

1:59Tom:You wake up to like 30. It's just like intense sex and you just still see the typing thing happening at the bottom. It's just more Stop. He's like get on Just being a bully about it, or just do it.

2:11Mitch:Just do it, don't worry about it.

2:14Tom:Just do it.

2:14Mitch:Just don't do that.

2:16Tom:Oh man, I got the flu , I got a 103 degree fever. Nah, just don't do that, just don't get sick. Yeah, just don't go to work. Just, you know, snap your fingers and be better.

2:24Mitch:He'll want us to play games. But just don't go to work, just don't go, just call it, just call it sick yeah.

2:29Tom:The sad thing is, you've done it.

2:31Mitch:I don't know what you're talking about.

2:35Tom:He did it once oh yeah, of course. Every now and then. You need just a day to yourself .

2:40Mitch:More than a day.

2:40Tom:More than a day, you need a week, you need a month, you need the Mega Millions and then retire to Monica. But anyway, let's get back to this show. Social media Mitch.

2:50Mitch:Well, you can go to entertainthispodcastcom, which will take you to our Facebook group and page. You can also go to atthisentertain on X or Twitter whichever one you want to call it now, or Instagram, which is entertainingthis. You can also go to our YouTube and TikTok, which are entertainingthis.

3:07Tom:Yeah, yeah, you do those things, you go to those places.

3:11Mitch:Anyways, today we are talking about the top 10 post-apocalyptic movies. This is post-apocalyptic. I didn't know if I mentioned it to you, but I was thinking of desolate post-apocalyptic.

3:22Tom:So I kind of did a mix of post-apocalyptic, apocalyptic and like the apocalypse is happening, and there's one that's like threat of apocalypse. I didn't specify.

3:34Mitch:When I gave you the idea, but I was trying to, at least for my list, I thought of like ones where it's very desolate, where there's very sparse population.

3:42Tom:All right all right, you want me to start?

3:45Mitch:Sure go ahead.

3:45Tom:My number 10,. The Day After Tomorrow.

3:48Mitch:That's a good one.

3:50Tom:I wanted to include a good weather movie.

3:53Mitch:Before you get into it, did you see the interview with Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid?

3:58Tom:No.

3:59Mitch:Dennis Quaid didn't realize Jake Gyllenhaal was his son in that movie. They were having an interview within the last year or so and he's like you, played my son when the afternoon of the month he's like did you? Pretty much. He was like oh really, look at there. I thought that was funny.

4:16Tom:I thought that was a good movie. Yeah, I mean, it was a very serviceable disaster film, especially where he's talking to the president or whatever, whoever, and he's got the map and he just draws the line and he's like everybody here needs to go south into Mexico and we can save them. He's like, well, what about everybody above the line? It's too late, they're dead. And it's like, ah, and you're watching helicopters freeze out of the air and plummet and crash . That was pretty cool, dudes. Helicopters freeze out of the air and plummet and crash.

4:43Mitch:That was pretty cool Because like dudes are just freezing in place. Well, because like the storm is almost like a hurricane kind of shape, yeah, If you get into the center, it's sub-zero temperatures and it just instantly froze. Even the fuel lines froze yeah.

4:55Tom:And like all of this stuff is happening. And then there's like the cuts to like the dudes who were in the space station looking down at like t-shirts, just watching, like oh crap it looks like a gnarly storm down there. Huh yeah, pass me a pop tart as they float. Yeah you know, what a bad movie. It's a watching movies. It's always on rerun. Oh yeah, you see that man you could just kind of like now, all right, I'll check it out I mean , I like those kind of disaster movies where you actually get to see what's going on um.

5:24Mitch:I own that on DVD so I enjoy it.

5:27Tom:Because it was the first like weather.

5:30Mitch:I think so.

5:31Tom:Kind of disaster movie or big popular one as far as like apocalyptic. It wasn't a volcano, it wasn't aliens. Yeah, because I would have picked. I mean, well, you got Dante's Peak and the movie Volcano.

5:42Mitch:But not at the apocalyptic level.

5:44Tom:No, that's a city, yeah, or a town, not the world. What's your number? 10?

5:52Mitch:Anyways, because I went with more desolate post-apocalyptic stuff, my number 10 is Waterworld.

5:57Tom:Oh, that's so bad. It's just water, it's a pool.

6:03Mitch:It's a cool movie.

6:04Tom:I mean it's not great , but it's cool Hemorrhaged money and Kevin Costner like going bald before he got plugs.

6:10Mitch:Well, I mean it hemorrhaged money because the entire set had to be flooded with water every day. Did they ever find land? Yeah, at the end, where I don't remember, I know, they get into like a weather balloon kind of thing and they just go floating and eventually a bird lands on the ledge and they realize that there's land.

6:27Tom:Somewhere nearby there's a bird.

6:30Mitch:And then when they look out over the edge and they see this mountain with green on it and stuff, oh yeah, we're saved Pretty much.

6:39Tom:I saw that movie one time years ago. I was homesick and it was on TV and I was like this movie's terrible, because it's just something like you know, it sucks, it's just not good.

6:50Mitch:It's not good, but I always found it interesting with movies like this, where civilization was there. You know you have the people floating on the boats and stuff, but then he actually dives down and you see like an old city, like it's just been flooded over . I always find that kind of cool , like when they find remnants of what used to be. Yeah, it's not a great movie now. No, it's not a great movie.

7:14Tom:Anyways, let's see. I think that one Should be my number nine now, let's see.

7:18Mitch:Waterworld came out in 1995.

7:26Tom:Yeah, it was 9-5. It still has a 6.3 out of 10.

7:28Mitch:Yeah, it's still not halfway, not Costner's best outing, but yeah, that's pretty much it on that. What is your number? Nine?

7:33Tom:Beneath the Planet of the Apes, beneath the second one I've never heard of that one yeah with Charlton Heston, and I can't remember the dude who plays Brett.

7:43Mitch:I've only seen the original Planet of the Apes.

7:44Tom:This is the direct sequel to the original Planet of the Apes. Never seen any of those when him and Nova like go off Because at the end of the movie he sees the broken part of the Statue of Liberty.

7:53Mitch:Oh, that's from that movie.

7:54Tom:Yeah, okay, and he's like damn it, you did it. You blew it all to hell. Because then and he's on Earth- oh, okay. Interesting and humanity decimated. I mean, this is the end of the Planet of the Apes.

8:07Mitch:Yeah.

8:11Tom:Beneath the Planet of the Apes is they find another ship that had come through the same time flux black hole nonsense and ended up on Earth with him.

8:18Mitch:Okay.

8:19Tom:So some of those humans are captured. One of them, brett. He's like the next guy. He meets up with him because he finds out he was here, because he was sent to like try to find them. Realize it. Then, like the plant, the apes have like gone into the forbidden zone is what they call it where they're like trying to hunt down the humans and kill them yeah they find this like the secret, like group of humans who had survived underground when, like you, when nuclear holocaust happened, but they've mutated to have telepathy and stuff. They're mutant people but they worship the bomb like a god. So you just have this giant. What are you doing? I didn't even hear it, was it mine? So like this giant, like gold rocket that they call Omega, or

9:12Tom:like they're washing a bit of like some crap out of, like the Bible, it's like a church.

9:14Mitch:Okay.

9:15Tom:And the apes. I mean they have a big fight. You know they're using mine stuff and the apes have guns. And then at the end of the movie, like everybody's pretty much dying or bleeding and Charlton Heston is like right there at the altar where the missile controls are.

9:29Mitch:Yeah.

9:30Tom:And like he, literally like Dr Zay, is like trying to stop him and he just puts his hand up and just swats the detonator and just annihilates the entire planet Jeez, because the bomb's like omega and like what is it from the Bible? Alpha and Omega, alpha and Omega, yeah, yeah. So you basically just nuclear holocausts. The Planet of the Apes. Never, I've never seen that one you never saw Beneath the Planet of the Apes is my favorite one. Okay. I'll check it out Because. Planet of the Apes is good, but it's kind of like all right Beneath. I haven't seen that one.

9:58Mitch:I'll have to check it out. Well, my number nine is Resident Evil Extinction. I like the first part.

10:08Tom:I can see it.

10:08Mitch:I like the second and the third one. I guess the fourth is called Afterlife. I like that one, but this is the third one where they're like in the desert and they end up going into I guess it's Las Vegas. They end up driving through there. But it's the first time you see them where it's not just in a city, it's not Raccoon City, right and they're traveling in a bus that's been retrofitted, with grates over the windows. They have an ambulance that's been retrofitted to work with desert and defend against zombies. But it's the first time you actually see what's her name Alice when she uses powers. But it's like the first time you actually see what's her name , alice when she uses like powers, because like there's

10:48Mitch:this whole swarm of like black crows that come circling around trying to kill people and she like ignites them into fire. So it was kind of cool. But it was neat to see because the whole thing they're traveling through this basically desert wasteland after I guess it's like maybe year or two after basically Raccoon City fails to quarantine everybody and the world's been taken over by zombies.

11:12Tom:What's the one where they're in Raccoon City. That's number two. That's two. Is that Apocalypse?

11:18Mitch:I think it's just called Resident Evil 2.

11:20Tom:No, it's Resident Evil something when they're in the city. The guy from the Mummy is in it . Yeah. It's like they're like swats he's also in the Extinction as well. Oh, he's in that too. Yeah, good, he made it.

11:34Mitch:Resident Evil.

11:35Tom:Yeah, Jared Harris is in it.

11:37Mitch:It might just be called Resident Evil Raccoon City, I can't remember.

11:41Tom:Nah, nah, nah, nah, we're gonna look this up.

11:43Mitch:I'm pretty sure it's just Resident Evil 2 nah, it's not.

11:46Tom:I don't believe you.

11:48Mitch:I don't believe you at all but I mean it's fun to watch because, you know, I just like any kind of post-apocalyptic zombie thing where the earth has changed and it's not the way it used to be mm-hmm let's see was this the 90s or the early 2000s? I think it was the early 2000s.

12:07Tom:Yeah, it was Resident Evil Apocalypse. I was right, it was Okay. Yeah, I didn't remember that. He plays Dr.

12:12Mitch:Ashford.

12:13Tom:Yeah, I knew it.

12:14Mitch:Huh, you can't fool me. Yeah, it's the guy from the Mummy Ashanti. She's some kind of singer. She plays Betty. There's not really many other people that you remember.

12:37Tom:Jill Valentine in this? No, not the character.

12:40Mitch:Yeah, mike Epps, he's still in it.

12:43Tom:Oh, he made it.

12:44Mitch:Yep.

12:47Tom:That's pretty, yeah, because like they, the cops, save him from the zombies and they offer him a weapon and he pulls out two gold pinned down, that's from apocalypse, yeah apocalypse and he's like. He's like, I got my own, my custom, and then like um, what's it? Umesis, nemesis shows up, takes out everybody but him, because it didn't deem him as a threat and he's just like he just drops them. He's like, and Nemesis, just he just leaves yeah, I remember that.

13:16Mitch:That he's like driving through town hitting people, hitting zombies with a car yeah, funny, is it my turn?

13:23Tom:yep, question number nine Zombieland the car. Yeah funny.

13:24Mitch:Is it my turn? Yep, what's your number?

13:25Tom:nine, zombie land, zombie land, that's a good one I tried not to put a lot of zombie on this I did, because that's its own.

13:30Mitch:Yeah, I tried, I just kind of.

13:32Tom:I picked two. I got three on here that are I got two of them good and different in their own way yeah because I'm laying. It's obviously a comedy, but it's also a really well done and believable and believable because I mean, I can see people being that way yeah, you can believe like it's like almost like the most realistic but comedic approach to it all. Yeah, because you got. You know what's woody harrelson driving around with a tahoe, with a bumper guard and, like a, I love rednecks. With a three painted on the side. He's got snake boots on and a hat and sunglasses and the mayor's leg on the leg holster. He's just hanging out, he's living it.

14:15Mitch:When the world is ended, you've got to be your own character.

14:21Tom:This is like that us group going and it's just like we're just doing this in style. We know we're going to die, but damn it, it's going to be cool.

14:27Mitch:Oh yeah, I like where he does one.

14:29Tom:You're wearing that green ranger helmet, yeah, where he rings the bell and the zombie runs and he caps as soon as it crosses the road she goes zombie kill of the week and they're like nah, and it's like shambling, like pressing the button, the zombies like running after the pianist, like people would rig that crap up to do crap like that I believe it too, which is the sad part, yeah, but yeah, I mean, it's a fun movie um and emma. Yeah, all right, moving on Number eight for me is.

15:09Mitch:Terminator Salvation. That's a good one. Like I said, kind of like Waterworld. It's not the best movie, but I really do. Like the. You get to see the future of Terminator in that world.

15:17Tom:Because you just saw it in like bits.

15:19Mitch:Yeah, you saw little glimpses From T1 and T2. Uh-huh, especially T1, where they show Kyle Reese in the future, right. But I do like in this one where you actually get to see what that future is fully. And there's more than just the T-800s, there's other kind of robots and stuff that they have to deal with. You see that they're trying to experiment with making cyborgs and things like that. You get to see the CGI animated Arnold, the T-800 Arnold.

15:46Tom:Yeah, he's in that one.

15:47Mitch:Yeah, but it's like his face, but it's all computerized.

15:49Tom:Yeah, because obviously he doesn't look how he did in 1984.

15:52Mitch:Right, but yeah, it's a fun movie. I enjoyed watching it, Christian Bale so.

15:58Tom:I didn't see that one . All right, so I've seen Fitz. You should watch it he came out because I'd already seen T3 and I didn't like T3. I didn't think it was good. It was kind of like meh.

16:07Mitch:Yeah, T3 was not good , but this one it was interesting. It's the Terminator world, but it's a different take, which is pretty fun. What's your number eight?

16:16Tom:T3. That would be my number seven.

16:18Mitch:Oh, sorry, your number seven.

16:19Tom:World War Z.

16:21Mitch:Yeah.

16:22Tom:That was kind of the flip to. Super serious. Yeah, super serious and like super scary running fast zombies .

16:28Mitch:Yeah.

16:29Tom:And like.

16:30Mitch:Not just running fast , but like anthill, climbing up a building.

16:33Tom:That was, like you know, the opposite end of the spectrum. It was just like ooh. But I kind of like how it kind of showed more of like society falling apart but also holding together Right when, like they got like containment camp set up , there's people trying to figure it out. You know, you got survivor pockets.

16:49Mitch:Right.

16:50Tom:And then you just got Israel just hanging out.

16:52Mitch:It's like we just walled everything off. They were good until they let all the people in and started singing.

16:58Tom:Yeah, because it's alerting all the zombies and they're just like get the microwave on. It's like why is that happening ? Because I would have been like, nope, shoot her.

17:08Mitch:Shoot her, shoot her, shoot that child. No, we don't have time for this .

17:12Tom:We don't have time for it. No, it's literally bow Problem is solved, it's right there. I think at that point though, it was too late, because they had already heard it. I'm just saying I mean, once she did, it's like is someone singing? Hey, like I'm looking up at the guard tower, like eyeballing, like hey, you shoot person now and then everybody shut up Interesting. Well, you know, people don't want to talk about, but you got to make these decisions in the post-apocalyptic scenario advocating killing innocents right off the bat like we don't have time for this crap, like we don't, like I, like the humanity is about to be annihilated, it's about to be over. You think I'm going down because some chicks do an american idol

17:58Tom:to an American Idol. Auditions out here, like no. No, I have a whole city of people who I need to protect and I'm not dealing with you. I'm not even letting people in. At this point. It's over. Go find your own camp.

18:13Mitch:I agree with that. I was like you have a whole city. Why are we letting? Granted, they're doing the right thing, they're trying to be humanitarians, yeah, but I mean, granted they're doing the right thing, they're trying to be humanitarians, yeah, but if you let this many people in, bad things are about to happen, yeah.

18:27Tom:It's like I got to think about food resources, water, communication, medicine, god knows what you people are dragging in.

18:35Mitch:Anyways, my number seven is the Road. Have you seen that? Oh, I have the Road higher up Road's number four.

18:40Tom:Okay, that's a great. That is a dark movie it is. That is a gritty film. If the ending is what I remember, yeah.

18:49Mitch:Yeah, it's pretty dark, but basically you don't know what's happening or what happened this entire movie.

18:54Tom:It's just in the apocalypse.

18:56Mitch:Yeah, like it's happened. You don't know what the event was, but times are now tough and what's strange is there's scenes where they're underground and you just hear loud noises or giant thuds and stuff, but you don't know what it is what's happening. Right, and it is a really dark and sad kind of movie but it's really good as far as being the desolate world where some kind of apocalypse has happened and they're as far as being the desolate world where some kind of apocalypse has happened. They're just trying to make their way to hell.

19:26Tom:It was very real. It's a very good movie.

19:30Mitch:It's a good book. It came out in 2009. I haven't read the book.

19:34Tom:I read the book in school years ago. I think the book's actually more horrific.

19:40Mitch:Oh, okay, which has Viggo Mortensen.

19:42Tom:Because he gets mortally wounded and he has to give his son or he sends his son with like a family.

19:48Mitch:Oh, okay.

19:49Tom:And it's after they kill like all. He kills all the cannibals but he gets like mortally wounded doing it.

19:53Mitch:Gotcha.

19:54Tom:And then it's just like the kid goes off with the other family, like helping the guy, like they're not cannibals are going to eat the kid well, that's not what I remember.

20:02Mitch:I mean, I know those things happen, but I don't remember him going off with another family in the movie. Yeah, he does, yeah okay, I'm reasonably confident. I'm like 85 percent sure now, oh, you're right, you're right, right yeah, because I remember yeah, I remember he's sitting on the beach. Yeah, I remember now.

20:22Tom:Yeah, because I think he just kind of like passes away, yeah Okay, and he's got a gun with like what? Two bullets? Yeah, something like that.

20:30Mitch:Something like that.

20:33Tom:All right, what's your number six Armageddon.

20:37Mitch:Armageddon. I don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep.

20:43Tom:Just because that I mean, it's about apocalypse, Armageddon.

20:48Mitch:I love that movie.

20:49Tom:That movie. It's so fun, but it's so convolutedly stupid.

20:53Mitch:It is, but I just I love to be honest. I love the movie. It's great.

20:57Tom:I love Ben Affleck talking about it, he's just like wouldn't it be easier just to teach the astronauts Like how to just use drills? And Michael Bay's like, how about you shut the? And he's like, all right, I won't bring that up again.

21:15Mitch:I mean, there's just so many big actors in it and so many great one lines.

21:18Tom:Oh yeah.

21:19Mitch:I love the whole movie.

21:21Tom:That movie was so fun , I mean, and everybody's seen it like a dozen times, like you know yeah, I love bear when uh, they're trying to catch him to to bring him in you gotta catch papa bear as he's driving down the road on his motorcycle but like slow yeah, and they're just like stop that and when they all have their demands for going up in space.

21:42Mitch:Like he wants to sleep in the White Horse White House.

21:46Tom:White House okay.

21:47Mitch:And none of them ever want to pay taxes.

21:49Tom:Ever, ever Ever.

21:51Mitch:Yeah.

21:52Tom:And I think that's a reasonable request.

21:55Mitch:Agreed agreed.

21:56Tom:And then what I want 8-Tracks to make a comeback.

22:00Mitch:I don't know if you have control over that.

22:03Tom:Bruce was like I want 8-tracks to make a comeback. I don't know if you have control over that. Bruce Willis is like I don't know what to tell you. He's like some of these, you know.

22:06Mitch:Can you tell us who killed Kennedy? Yeah, it's a good movie, I love it Anyways moving on.

22:13Tom:That's like Michael Bay's best film.

22:17Mitch:Yeah, I think so.

22:19Tom:Is everything out. I mean, yeah, it's explosions. The movie yeah.

22:24Mitch:Anyways, my number six, moving on, is A Quiet Place , because everyone's like apart and they have to be quiet. It's a strange kind of thing where for a movie to have basically no sound that's what they're trying to accomplish, because the monsters will find them. But I mean everybody's basically had to distance their self from everyone. because you know, like the kids just being kids, they're wanting to like roll dice for a board game and stuff and get caught. The dad's like throwing his jacket on top to stop them from making noise. I thought it was a good movie because you see the old world, the old grocery stores and stuff and they've made Sandpats.

23:05Tom:Yeah, they have to walk barefoot on sand because it doesn't make. They're like muffles.

23:10Mitch:I thought that was really cool. It came out in 2018. I didn't really like the sequel .

23:17Tom:I didn't see the sequel.

23:18Mitch:The sequel had Cillian Murphy in it. I mean, it's not that it was bad, I just thought the first one was a lot better.

23:24Tom:Yeah, and there is supposed to be another one, because that one kid gets annihilated playing with the toy .

23:28Mitch:Yeah, that's kind of sad.

23:30Tom:And it's kind of sad when Darwinism Like how'd the kid not know at this point sound bad.

23:36Mitch:Well, and then?

23:37Tom:Because I don't think that kid was deaf.

23:39Mitch:No, he wasn't.

23:40Tom:That's on him.

23:41Mitch:But he was still just a kid, he was a stupid kid. I remember John Krasinski. It's pretty heartbreaking when his kids are getting attacked in the thing and then he basically just sacrifices himself by screaming as loud as he can to get the monster to come after him so they could put the truck in neutral and roll down the hill. I know there's a sequel. I think it's going to show like the first few days of when all this takes place. I did hear about that.

24:08Tom:We'll see how that turns out Because basically there's like a certain frequency , like they freak out and like their faces like open up, uh-huh , and then you can shoot them and kill them. Yeah, because otherwise they're like indestructible apparently.

24:16Mitch:I think that's something they found out in the second movie.

24:19Tom:I thought they figured out the end of the first movie.

24:21Mitch:It might be. Oh yeah, because when her hearing aid messes up.

24:26Tom:And then Zane's like ah, and she's like poof and it's like oh, how about that?

24:33Mitch:All right, what was your number? What? Six or five, Five?

24:36Tom:28 Days Later.

24:38Mitch:That's my number four .

24:39Tom:Oh really, yeah, 28 Days Later, that's one of our four. All right, 28 Days Later is a great apocalyptic scenario movie .

24:45Mitch:Did, 28 Days Later, come out before or after the first season of the Walking Dead ?

24:49Tom:Before. Before Okay yeah 28 Days Later was way before Walking Dead, because this is one where he wakes up in the hospital.

24:55Mitch:Hospital and he just wanders out. There's just nothing.

24:57Tom:Nothing Like. I don't even know how they filmed that crap in London.

25:01Mitch:Well, yeah, that's another thing, because he goes to a lot of big popular tourist locations too. He's just walking around and he's just like, but I mean, granted, I can't remember, if they reveal it like how everything got so desolate.

25:14Tom:I know they show that the monkeys are the ones that started it, but yeah, they were like messed up and like communicate with human blood and like the rage virus is basically what happened, and it was all through bite contact or spit and blood.

25:26Mitch:Yeah, I mean. But I mean it's a pretty creepy movie just because I mean, before you even see zombies, he's just wandering around in this hospital gown all around the city and there's just the way. If it was purposely filmed this way, but it looks kind of grainy like it's old older than what it was.

25:50Tom:It might have been your crappy television.

25:52Mitch:Well, no, I mean it could have been, but no, the leave my Zenith 1998 alone. It is made where it looks like it's an older film.

26:02Tom:Yeah.

26:03Mitch:I don't know if it's just the way it's filmed.

26:04Tom:Danny Boyle did that one.

26:05Mitch:Yeah, and he's actually supposed to come back and do 28 years later.

26:09Tom:Yeah, I'd be happy to see that.

26:12Mitch:They're working on a script, at least for sure. I know that.

26:15Tom:Because 28 days later and 28 weeks later I like 28 weeks later. I like 28 weeks later with Jeremy Renner yeah, I thought that was pretty good as well.

26:22Mitch:That was a good one and I thought it was neat to see that some people were immune, like the kid and the mom they were immune and the mom had been alive and he like sneaks into the room to see her and he like kisses her.

26:33Tom:But that's how he contracts it and then he like goes nuts, he basically goes wild and is like their leader.

26:40Mitch:Yeah, I mean because the mom and the kid can still have it. They just can't be affected by it.

26:45Tom:But they can still infect others.

26:47Mitch:So that was pretty cool. My number five was Wally.

26:52Tom:Wally. Huh, that's a left fielder. I didn't think about Wally.

26:55Mitch:It's desolate. It's just a robot just traveling around Earth with no people.

26:59Tom:Yeah, picking up garbage, yeah, but it's cool to see him like traveling through areas and finding things he's like.

27:04Mitch:what is this?

27:08Tom:And all the fat people.

27:09Mitch:Yeah, I mean there's not a whole lot to talk about it . Most people know what WALL-E is , but if you've seen it, it's post-apocalyptic. There's nothing on Earth except for this one robot. All the rest of them have died out. He's still just packing up trash.

27:25Tom:In boxes, stacking it up, playing Minecraft.

27:28Mitch:He's got his pet roach. What was your number four?

27:35Tom:The road, the road, okay.

27:38Mitch:That's right. My number four was 28 days later. So what was your number three? Fury Road? Mine was Mad Max. What?

27:41Tom:was your number three , fury Road.

27:44Mitch:Mine was Mad Max Fury Road for number three. Yeah, yeah, snap in.

27:49Tom:Fury Road is the awesome apocalypse that movie is one car chasing a guitar solo. That doesn't stop.

27:57Mitch:Every time I think of Fury Road, I'll Shiny and chrome forever. The first thing I think of is the giant like it's just black Like.

28:05Tom:He's like a four neck guitar. He's just like losing it. It's in a harness so it doesn't fall out. Yeah, and there's drunk Like yeah.

28:14Mitch:Was it a? The guy that plays a beast? What's his name?

28:18Tom:Nicholas.

28:18Mitch:Holt, nicholas Holt, he's like sprays his face. It's gonna be a lovely day yeah , like chrome spray paint. It's like shiny and chrome forever it was wild yeah, and then I'm impressed the way they did Charlize Theron's arm where it's just robotic yeah because I'm sure she just wore some kind of green sleeve yeah it looks, Because I'm sure she just wore some kind of green sleeve. Yeah, it looks. I mean it doesn't look fake it looks like it's part of her. They did a really good job with the CGI for that and I'm interested to see the sequel that's supposed to come out here soon or prequel, whatever. Oh yeah, yeah, it's a prequel, because it's her how she became. Yeah, I mean, I like Mad Max.

28:56Tom:That movie was just like Awesome, because this was the first Mad Max movie since Thunderdome, with Gibson and Tina Turner.

29:04Mitch:I didn't really like the originals. I've watched some and they were okay, I didn't like Thunderdome .

29:12Tom:That's when it was getting kind of weird. The Road Warrior was all right. That was like we're deep into the apocalypse now.

29:22Mitch:It's just getting weird out here. Okay, well, since that was both of our number threes, what was your number two?

29:27Tom:The Book of Eli.

29:29Mitch:That's my number one.

29:32Tom:Nah, I liked that movie. I did too, because that movie didn't get a lot of fanfare or whatever, or nothing. When it came out I was like oh, they're doing this. I remember seeing the trailer and I remember watching it. And when you figure out he's blind, you're like wait what?

29:42Mitch:Yeah, I mean, I was impressed by that, Because until the end of the movie I didn't realize that. And then when you go back and watch it a second time, you're like, oh, I see it now.

29:49Tom:Yeah, you can tell.

29:50Mitch:Yeah, because there's a couple of times where he's shooting and he While he's blind . But then, you notice like there's a little tink over here and that's the one he shot and missed. But just thinking about it before, I was thinking, oh, he's just shooting. You know he thoughts. To my mind it was impressive.

30:09Tom:I was really surprised At first, like where he comes across. Like you know the girl and then it's like a trap, because he's like yeah and like they, just like you know we're going to have that. And he's like no, you're not. And he just backs up into the shadows underneath the tunnel and just draws like that crazy sword thing he's got and he just and it's like damn, this movie's cool.

30:30Mitch:And then of course you have Gary Oldman, which he always plays a great bad guy. You have Gary Oldman and Denzel it's going to be a great movie. And me, lac yeah, you do, yeah. But yeah, I mean I enjoyed that and it was neat to see that he was taking what essentially was the last Bible to Alcatraz. They've turned that into like a haven for, you know, antique.

30:53Tom:For basically to preserve humanity's culture. Yeah, knowledge, because even like, when they get it and he like opens it up, I'm sorry, he's like and he sees it's just in Braille, right, and he asks the blind lady and she feels it and she can read it, but she's like, I don't know how to read Like, ha-ha, it's useless.

31:16Mitch:And then you find out that when he lays down on the therapist's chair, he already knows the whole thing.

31:21Tom:When he lays down on the therapist's chair. He already knows the whole thing.

31:26Mitch:Yeah, he had read it so many times he hasn't memorized it, which is wild. I thought that was pretty cool, since that was my number one and your number two. What was your number one?

31:36Tom:Mad Max, the first one, okay, mad Max is very interesting to me because it is the bridge of normal civilization to the apocalypse. It's that middle where humanity is still holding on, society still kind of existing, there's still, like you know, the normal norms, but stuff's also going off the rails at the same time and it's just kind of like that it's the pendulum as it hits center before it goes off the rail. Okay. Where you have you know the wild outlaws, things is going on. You still have a normal-ish kind of society with like stores and like you know things are still kind of they're holding on . Yeah. And then you got like a police force. That's kind of like trying to maintain society at this point,

32:20Tom:as it's just descending into chaos as resources dwindle because I mean I've seen the movie. I just I don't remember a bunch of it because it's been a while and I just couldn't get into it the entirety of the movie kind of is like the beginning of the movie and the end of the movie are the best parts. Okay, because the beginning of the movie and I've talked about this before it's like the coolest opening, one of the coolest openings of a film where you have, like you know, and they're showing you know Mel Gibson like young Mel Gibson, like 1979 Mel Gibson, young guy, and he's working on this. You know police car. You don't see him, they don't show his face. You just see like the boots that got like the star on them.

32:57Tom:You know he's working on. You know he's working on. You know the distributor cap, whatever for his 1973 ford falcon. And you got a car chase happening. And you know all these cop cars . You know two of them are chasing this crazy dude, the night rider. He's going on this wild monologue. It's awesome. They're driving through and he's calling listen to it, my gosh, just listen to on the radio. He's just cleaning out the distributor cab. He reinstalls it in his, his car and you see him as the chase ends. It'll cut to him and he puts on the jacket that's got the cool shoulder pads. I have that jacket Okay At home, at my parents' house still that has the plastic pads at the shoulders with the motorcycle

33:35Tom:jacket. For a little Mad Max cosplay one day. Okay. And then he's got, you know, the badge he puts on he's in the car and he's got the you know he puts on the mirrored sunglasses. Or they're not really mirrored, they're just really dark and glossy, but the mirrored frames and the gloves, you know, puts them on and the car chase is happening and they wipe out all the cops.

33:54Mitch:Yeah.

33:54Tom:Crash and his on his motorcycle. He's like trying to, and he's like smacking the radio because he's listening to the Knight Rider and he finally gets there. He's like Max, can you hear me? He's like go ahead and he's like we are 100% snafu'd. And he's like, and he's like any damage in the Knight Rider just goes on like this wild tangent and it just cuts to Mad Max's key turn the ignition. His car sounded totally different from everybody else's. They're driving V6s that they put a second pipe in to look like V8s, but you only see exhaust come out of one. His starts in that you hear the V8 rattle Like the and he's like and everyone's car said Pursuit on the back. His said Interceptor. And it's like we're dealing with a new kind of guy and he just

34:42Tom:drives out and he's just sitting on the road and he's just sitting there idling at the top of this like big highway and you see the Knight Rider come down and he sees him in the distance and he's like, and Mad Max just guns it and hits the lights and sirens and he's just driving straight at him and he makes the dude like crap his pants because he didn't move. He was like steady 10 and 2, makes him crap himself. He swerves off mad max power slides and gets right back on his tail. He's like brushing bumpers with him, makes the dude wreck out and explode and crash into like a tanker truck. It's like boom mad max. And then the toe cutter and their guys. You know they kill his wife and kid. Yeah.

35:22Tom:Or whatever. And then he gets like the last V8 Interceptor they had, which was the 73 Ford Falcon, with, like the blower that had like 600 horsepower. That's the most. I would own that car. If you're like you can have one car, I'd be like I want Mad Max's Interceptor. That is the sweetest looking ride of all time. It looks so beautiful, it looks fast sitting there, it's awesome and, like you know, it's got the blower on the interrupter on the shift where he's driving, chasing down the bikers and they just gun it past him. You know, keep on going, and he just goes. He pops the. You know the ignition for the blower and you see the blower and he just goes. He pops the. You know the ignition for the blower, you see, and he punches

36:07Tom:it in the next gear just, and he runs them all down. It's like, yeah, that movie's great.

36:12Mitch:Okay, I'm gonna pull up the the car so you can see it well, since, uh, since, book of eli was my number one, we kind of skipped over my number two, which is is I Am Legend. Yeah, I really like that. Oh, that is a nice car.

36:25Tom:I told you.

36:28Mitch:But for example, I Am Legend With the side exhaust. I really liked seeing the breakdown of like New York, where it's like all the stuff was overgrown. Well yeah, because that's the biggest city to focus on. Mm-hmm. But I like seeing all the stuff like broken down. You got grass growing up, freaking lions walking around.

36:46Tom:Yeah, tigers and you know deer, they're just like, and then off they go and he's just hitting golf balls like off the front of like an aircraft carrier. Yeah, it's just parked, it's just like. What do we do? I'm pretty sure that was the USS Intrepid.

36:56Mitch:I thought that was pretty cool. I mean, I really enjoyed watching. Like you know, he's. I don't know if he cleared him out or if the road was just clear enough. He was driving the Mustang as fast as he could down the road. He set up like mannequins to pretend like they're people.

37:08Tom:He's like talking to them. Yeah, it's just like cast away Kind of. Yeah, it's just.

37:12Mitch:Wilson.

37:12Tom:Wilson. But they All right, because there was a split ending. There's two endings the one where he lived and the one where he died.

37:22Mitch:Michael B Jordan's going to be in it and Will Smith is connected to it, but I don't know if he's directing or if he's going to be in it or what. But I do know they are making a sequel.

37:31Tom:I just don't know how Will Smith's movies in the last five years suck.

37:34Mitch:I enjoy Bad Boys.

37:42Tom:But that's capitalizing on something that happened 20 years ago. I'm talking like fresh stuff, like what Like After Earth to now. That was an okay movie. His movies just haven't really been great.

37:53Mitch:I didn't like the one where he was like two of them. Gemini. Man. Yeah, I didn't like that.

37:57Tom:Yeah, I didn't like that. You got old Will Smith and then trying to look young Will Smith . Yeah. Ever since the Chris Rock slap he's kind of skidded off the rails.

38:09Mitch:But anyways, that was our top ten, kind of like post-apocalyptic movies or apocalyptic movies. We'll move on to some reviews. Do you have any other things that you've watched or played lately?

38:20Tom:No, it's a button. Press the button.

38:25Mitch:Well, in that case, I've played on my PS5. I've played Spider-Man 2.

38:29Tom:On my PS5. All right, Hayden.

38:31Mitch:Tribute to Hayden.

38:35Tom:He's like a 20s gangster. We got, you know, fats McGgee over here on the plate, but I played.

38:45Mitch:Uh, I played spider-man 2, which came out in october last year, but you're just getting around to it. Yeah, I got a ps5 in january and I finally had the money. After getting the ps5, I had the money to actually buy a game . So I got spider-man 2 and it's a lot of fun, like I played the original Spider-Man on PS4. That's in this series and it was a lot of fun. They have Miles Morales, which I haven't played yet, but I have it saved because it's in the PlayStation Plus games that you get for no extra charge. But this one you switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales and different parts of the story . You have to be a character, but then at any time. Just you can choose who you want to be right, and they both have

39:25Mitch:their own skill tree where they all have different powers and moves and stuff who's better? Um, I feel like miles morales is better. So far, I'm only 20 into the story, so I haven't unlocked.

39:39Tom:He's got to be faster .

39:41Mitch:He's a little bit faster, but then he has bigger attacks because he has this electric punch that he can do, which he can do different things with the electricity which gives him at the start before you can power them all up. He has a little bit of an advantage as far as a character to play with because, he can do a little more stuff. He can also turn invisible for a short amount of time. That's just part of his powers from the comics, whereas Peter Parker, he's just got the basic, you know.

40:09Tom:Superhuman strength, speed, durability, agility.

40:12Mitch:They both got the sixth sense.

40:14Tom:The Spidey sense the Peter tingle.

40:16Mitch:The Peter tingle. But both of them in this game, have like the spider spider, like webbed wing kind of things, and there's actually little spots where you can as you're gliding. If you get into it you can, like you, catch the airflow. You can actually travel farther and faster that's pretty cool so it helps you move around the city faster. But uh, this one starts off with my bed. With craven the hunter is like the main bad guy. He's hunting down like scorpion and rhino and stuff like that in the city.

40:42Tom:Good, they need to go . I'd be like I'm not just going to be Spider-Man this week. Let him deal with it.

40:46Mitch:And I don't know all about it, but I do know Venom is the main bad guy, which you just don't know when. I don't know when he shows up. I know right now.

40:56Tom:I just found out Harry Os osborne has the symbiote like attached to him somehow and it doesn't like peter harry osborne yeah, like uh norman osborne I know, I know who he is, I'm just saying, I don't remember him having well, yeah, this goes.

41:10Mitch:This doesn't necessarily follow the comics eddie brock yeah, this doesn't follow the comics, it's just it's kind of its own story, like its own timeline kind of thing, because matt gargan is the because.

41:21Tom:Because even in the comic books, Harry Osborn becomes the next Green Goblin.

41:25Mitch:He becomes the next Green Goblin, and then he doesn't become the Hobgoblin. Right, because that's just Spider-Man 3.

41:32Tom:They did that.

41:32Mitch:Yeah.

41:32Tom:Because in the comic books the Hobgoblin was someone totally different.

41:35Mitch:Right, it was just some dude. But it's a fun game. There's a lot of stuff you can do. You can visit Avengers Tower things like that. There's a lot of kind of like the.

41:46Tom:So are the other Avengers just not hanging out in New York?

41:48Mitch:Pretty much yeah.

41:49Tom:Yeah, it's just all up to Spidey.

41:50Mitch:You can go by Doctor Strange's house and stuff like that, which actually one of the missions that you're doing. You have to help, you have to try and convince Black Cat to get out of town, because Kraven's chasing after her, because he's, after all, the animal-themed characters.

42:05Tom:Black Cat.

42:06Mitch:And she actually steals something from Doctor Strange that allows her to teleport anywhere on Earth.

42:11Tom:Felicia Hardy. Yeah, I don't know who animated that either in the kids' TV show, but it was probably the same guy that did rogue. Thank you.

42:23Mitch:But, um, yeah, I mean it's fun because they've kind of incorporated the the Batman Arkham stuff a little bit, where there's some like you can sneak around and take people out silently now as opposed to just jumping in and fighting, which is pretty fun too, because, like you can make your own web that you can walk across and then just zip down and grab them, zip them back up.

42:42Tom:So it's kind of fun. You think you can just web a dude right in the freaking mouth and then hit him in the chest, rip, cord him into you and clothesline him and knock him out and just be like boom.

42:49Mitch:When you get good, you can do that. I'm not there yet Because it takes a little bit to web up a guy, but I mean you can just shoot a web and zip straight to. Like all Spider-Man games, I enjoy the free-flowing, like you know, swinging.

43:10Tom:Everybody likes swinging around New York.

43:11Mitch:It's just fun, I mean . But I have to say like the animation and the graphics are really well done as well. So and the story is very interesting because it continues the Spider-Man 4 where eventually Aunt May dies in this and Miles Morales' dad has died at this point, and so now they're both kind of learning to cope with it. In the very beginning of this game Peter Parker tries to be a teacher and gets fired because he goes off to save the city and leaves his class students and then when the principal finds out that he basically abandoned them during this disaster, he gets fired. So then he's joining Harry Osborn to work for their dad's company, because Green Goblin's not a thing yet in this.

44:00Mitch:So it's kind of building. I'm sure there's going to be a Spider-Man 3 where Green Goblin will finally be the main villain .

44:08Tom:Disease, pretty much Spider-Man's number one.

44:11Mitch:Yeah, I mean basically he's the Joker for Spider-Man.

44:14Tom:And some might even say it's the Kingpin.

44:17Mitch:He's more Daredevil's main adversary.

44:20Tom:He was huge.

44:23Mitch:Venom and Green Goblin are Spider-Man's two biggest.

44:27Tom:Carnage.

44:28Mitch:Villains Well, yeah, I mean, they're in it, but I say Venom and Green.

44:33Tom:Goblin Kraven the Hunter, I say Scorpion Rhino.

44:37Mitch:I say Venom Doc, ock Doc.

44:39Tom:Ock, spider-man's got a great villain base.

44:44Mitch:He does yes.

44:47Tom:I mean probably more so, or on par with Batman. I mean probably more so, or on par with Batman With like that rogues gallery of just memorable bad guys.

44:57Mitch:You know, I would agree with that, yeah.

44:59Tom:Because I'm like you know, superman, you think Lex Luthor and Brainiac?

45:02Mitch:Well, and Doomsday, and Darkseid and Mungle.

45:05Tom:Yeah, but and.

45:06Mitch:Cyborg Superman.

45:08Tom:Yeah, but nobody remembers Cyborg Superman. Yeah, they do you, you.

45:12Mitch:No, rah, rah, he killed the entire West Coast. Rah, just saying Rah. But anyways, if you haven't played it and you have a PlayStation, I encourage you.

45:26Tom:It's worth your time.

45:27Mitch:Yes, let's see. I watched Clarkson's Farm season three.

45:32Tom:I saw some clips. Clarkson, I can't remember the kid's name.

45:38Mitch:Jeremy Caleb.

45:40Tom:Caleb, the two of them and Caleb just giving him the business Every chance he gets to just cut Jeremy down at the knee. It's hilarious.

45:48Mitch:Right at the beginning of the seasons they make a deal and they divide up the farm, because Caleb's going to do all the farming side and Jeremy says he can make more money off the un-farmed side like all the wilderness stuff. So they have a competition where they're trying to say who can make the most money but who can have the best increase in percentage of value. So they're doing caleb's whooping his butt, not to begin with, okay, but then again you think caleb, he's got to farm the entire thing. It doesn't get the profits till the end yeah, I'm like he's gonna be the. Do the hard work now, go ahead and laugh it up, yeah, and then swoop in and be like gotcha but it is a lot of fun and jeremy

46:30Mitch:actually finds a lot of ways to make money off of his land that you wouldn't have thought originally. Jeremy's a smart businessman.

46:35Tom:I give him a lot of credit for being continuously relevant for the last 20 years.

46:42Mitch:Yeah, it's almost 25 years Ever since Top Gear 2002.

46:47Tom:But even then he's always had stuff going on. He was on original Top Gear for a bit. He had a couple other shows. He had his own talk show. Then he got Top Gear and reinvented Top Gear into the mega show. It became, where they were, the number one show in the world for 10 years. It's like, oh yeah, we're in the middle of war-torn Iraq. It's like nobody knows who we are, captain Slow. He's just like we can't go anywhere. He's like everybody knows who we are. And that's how I remember watching the show he did like a bunch of like war stuff. All of them, richard Hammond and James May. They are the most interesting, boring people you've ever seen I can watch. I've watched James May's show, the Reassembler.

47:35Tom:It's on YouTube. You know what it is. He takes stuff apart and puts it back together and talks to you while he does it. It is one of the most interesting things I've ever watched in my life, watching him take apart a toy train or a guitar and re-put it back together. He's doing a little bit of soldering and he's talking. He's got glasses on, he's in his little workshop and his screwdrivers and he's, you know, telling stories about. You know stuff with related and I'm just sitting there, like you know, staring off into the tv, and it's been like an hour and a half and I'm like wait what?

48:04Mitch:I'll be honest, other than top gear, I find james may and richard ham very boring.

48:08Tom:You got James May's Sandwiches of the 70s show he had on YouTube on Food Tribe. That was hilarious. He's just making sandwiches from his youth and it's just like he was like meme city just doing that and just like giving like the youth production crew the business about, like how they can't appreciate anything. He's like you guys didn't live through the 70s, so shut up. I'm better than you. I'm James May.

48:33Mitch:And now I'm moving on to a different review.

48:36Tom:I had some news. Oh, you do Assassin's Creed.

48:38Mitch:Well, let's finish reviews first.

48:40Tom:Okay reviews.

48:41Mitch:Have you watched any of X-Men 97?

48:43Tom:No, I haven't had time.

48:44Mitch:I'm so sad.

48:45Tom:I'm playing Call of Duty.

48:46Mitch:It's a great show.

48:48Tom:Is it done? It's done, okay, now I can watch.

48:50Mitch:It's done and it's got some.

48:52Tom:Because I know me, I'm going to want to watch it all at once.

48:54Mitch:It's got some heavy material. I mean it's still considered a kid's show.

48:59Tom:It's also hearkening to the kids who watched it in the 90s, who are now adults.

49:05Mitch:Well, right, and it's got that same tone that it had where it takes on real-life issues and turns them into a kids' show basically where kids can understand what's going on, but they take on some heavy material, like in the comics. Genosha is destroyed. Basically it's a genocide. Well, that's in this series.

49:25Tom:And that's Magneto's island right.

49:30Mitch:No, Genosha is an island that Magneto was going to be the leader of. There's another island that he has later, but he was going to be the leader of it because all the people just basically elected him, like you, should be in charge of this. It was basically a haven for mutants to go to escape persecution.

49:47Tom:He was the mayor of Mutantville.

49:49Mitch:And then basically there's someone that sends a sentinel, like a mega sentinel that spawns other sentinels and they wipe out the whole island with everyone on it, just about. Sheesh. And then they come up. There's another one where this character basically he's found a way to turn civilians into sentinels Like they don't grow to like sentinel size, but they have the powers and they're super strong this character, basically he's found a way to turn civilians into Sentinels Like they don't grow to like Sentinel size, but they have the powers and they're super strong , and they don't know they're Sentinels until he activates them and the X-Men have to deal with that. You have to deal with Cable being born and like Sinister

50:27Mitch:messing with people's minds and stuff like that.

50:29Tom:I forgot about Mr Sinister. But people's minds and stuff like that I forgot about Mr Sinister, but it's pretty cool.

50:35Mitch:They don't focus on Wolverine very much because they want to focus on these other characters that people don't know as well, but you do get a couple. There's one where Rogue is unconscious and she's laying in a bed because she was hurt and those Sentinels I was telling you about show up and Wolverine and Nightcrawler go to decimate just anybody that comes close to Rogue while they're inside the X-Mansion. And it's cool to see modern like animation with Wolverine fighting, but then also to get to see Nightcrawler. He's holding two swords, like one in each hand, and then he's holding one with his tail and he's holding one with his tail and he's just teleporting, fighting and cutting people apart and stuff.

51:17Mitch:That's awesome. It's really cool. And then they really use morph very well, because that, you see , he turns into hulk at one point.

51:20Tom:Juggernaut, uh magic, psylocke when he turns in, does he get their powers?

51:22Mitch:yeah, like I I don't know to what extent, but like he , you know he has their powers for a short time as whoever he turns into, but it's just cool to see him fighting and changing in between people as he fights. He's really overpowered yeah, sounds like it but they do a good job of keeping him in a fight, or the villain knowing to knock him out first before he gets a chance to morph before he can morph but you get to see Cable a little bit working his magic. It's a really good show. You just like it. I'm trying not to say too much since you haven't seen it, but once you watch it you'll understand why I think it's so good. It's good but it's also sad, but it's also just amazing. I'll go ahead and tell you there's one part from the comics

52:09Mitch:Wolverine gets his adamantium ripped out of his body.

52:13Tom:Ooh, yeah.

52:14Mitch:Yeah, that happens.

52:17Tom:I bet that's smart.

52:19Mitch:I'll leave the rest. That was a surprise for me, but I'll leave the rest to the other surprises.

52:23Tom:It's free to watch. He's got to get it back.

52:25Mitch:If you haven't seen it, it's got a 9 out of 10 from. Ign and IMDB and all that and there's some variety of stuff. It's probably the best thing Marvel's put out in the last five years.

52:38Tom:Dang.

52:39Mitch:So it's a really good show, especially if you can get movies this good. I encourage you to watch it. All right, what news do you have?

52:45Tom:Bridgerton season three. It's on Netflix. Rachel told me that must be nice. I mean I saw the first two seasons. I guess I got to pick back up, oh okay, so I get to watch that with her, and I'll give you the full report of season three of Bridgerton. I appreciate that and snotty British people at the turn of the 19th century, acting snooty and rich.

53:06Mitch:Acting snooty.

53:13Tom:Anyway. Assassin's Creed trailer and rich acting snooty, uh anyway. Uh, assassin's creed trailer teaser came out for assassin's creed shadows. We're finally in feudal japan.

53:17Mitch:I saw some people with samurai ninjas I found some people weren't a fan, though, because the uh, the samurai is a black guy and then you have the , the other girl. They said, even in an asiand game you can't get an Asian representation as a samurai.

53:33Tom:You're just like. I mean, yeah, it's kind of like , yeah, Because they're modeling this guy, Yusuke or Yasuke, however you want to say it who was a historical person. Yeah, he was a black samurai. Yeah, Well, I didn't read that he was actually a samurai.

53:51Mitch:Like he wasn't given that, but he was in their culture like mixed honor like uh , the japanese, the shogun, like I can't remember his name.

53:58Tom:I read about it at the hospital when I was sitting there yeah and I was like, let me read into this and see, it's like it's based on a story for the same name. Is he really? Hey, how about that? But uh, they didn't even believe he was black. Yeah, the Shogun guy who was running the whole thing. He was like bring him here.

54:14Mitch:Yeah, I want to see this guy.

54:16Tom:They had never seen him and they made him take off his clothes, except his underwear or whatever like his pants, and they started scrubbing. They were scrubbing, they thought it was just on him.

54:25Mitch:Yeah.

54:25Tom:And he's like how about that? Huh, look at that Color me tickled and he was just like he just wanted the guy around, he just was like a total fanboy of this guy. I think he was in like one battle but he just disappears from records after that dude's assassinated, where it's like he had a house with servants and a money, and he had a rank in society, but not samurai Right, which you know. Just get you know, samurai, I think at that point was still a hereditary title. You were born into being a samurai.

55:00Mitch:Yeah, pretty much Kind of like knights and stuff, Like you had to be of royal descent of some sort.

55:06Tom:You were in that class. Yeah, japanese society at that time was very class-based. It was all class-based there was no, it was very.

55:19Mitch:It was all class-based.

55:20Tom:Well, I have a little bit of news, Because he was there. This takes place probably about 20 years before Shogun happens, which is also a good show.

55:27Mitch:Yeah, you saw it.

55:29Tom:I got to remember to get back in and keep on picking up with it. Watch some stuff, tom, which is also a good show. Yeah, you saw it I'm.

55:32Mitch:I gotta remember to get back in and keep on picking up with it watch some stuff Tom uh, what's it?

55:37Tom:Elder Scrolls 6 may be released in my lifetime. I'm holding out. Apparently I was talking to a friend and he had heard he's like that. They were like the reason it hasn't been released is they're waiting for the technology to do it, and I'm like, like you got to build the freaking planet, you got to make tamriel and send me to skyrim or something or whatever one of the other realms , like you know morrowind or something like how this game has been in development since Skyrim from 2011. It's been 13 years. I've been waiting for the sequel.

56:18Mitch:On to news that will happen this century.

56:20Tom:I mean my kids might get to play Elder Scrolls VI.

56:24Mitch:There's going to be a Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show. It's going to be like a series based off the movie that came out last August and it'll span between the first movie and the second movie. I'm not a fan. I just don't like those turtles . I'm not a fan of them. But they're very goofy and kiddish.

56:46Tom:When's Tulsa King coming out with a second season?

56:49Mitch:I don't know, I haven't seen anything for it.

56:52Tom:I was sitting there watching clips one day and I deep dived into the show. I was reading about every character and all the plots and what happened it's a good show too. I really like Sylvester Stallone doing that. I think he played that character very, very well.

57:05Mitch:Another bit of news is there's going to be a Terminator anime series. It says the series release date is August 29th of 2024. It'll be on Netflix. It says it'll explore the iconic franchise with a new story of survival against Skynet's impending attack. It's going to be eight episodes and, from what I can tell, it's going to be based in that future world. Let's see. The next thing I have is oh, marvel, supposedly rumor has been trying to get the Rock to be Apocalypse.

57:42Tom:Why they had Apocalypse from. X-men Apocalypse.

57:45Mitch:Like I said, it's a rumor, so I don't know how true it is, but I have seen it on several different sites saying that's the rumor that they're trying to pursue the rock to be Apocalypse, and I'm assuming just for his size.

57:55Tom:I don't know if I'd be more afraid of someone his size or someone who could do what Apocalypse can.

58:00Mitch:Anything almost.

58:02Tom:Virtually like whatever his mind can come up with.

58:06Mitch:The next thing is the Nicolas Cage Spider-Man live action show or action series. I forgot about that. It's MGM Plus slash Amazon Prime. Basically, it's going to be a series. It says it's been actually in development since 2023, february . It doesn't say when it will be released, but they are working on it and it'll be the expanded Marvel Universe, so it'll be like an alternate timeline thing because it's the new R Spider-Man from Into the Spider-Verse. Let's see what else we got.

58:43Tom:I like how Nicolas Cage is kind of circling the gutter and then he made a movie about being Nicolas Cage and just bounced right back. He came back with a vengeance.

58:54Mitch:I love it uh, there's rumor that there's gonna be a new doom game coming out or something, something involving it, because uh says, bethesda has trademarked the doom title, so who knows if they're making it.

59:11Tom:They're going to be like all right, put Elder Scrolls VI on the back burner. We're doing the Doom game now, like they did with because the head of Bethesda he's like we're not going to release it until we're done with Starfield, and Starfield sucked.

59:26Mitch:Right now it's just rumors, because they've trademarked the Doom name. When's?

59:31Tom:the Elden Ring expansion happening.

59:34Mitch:June.

59:36Tom:You say soon, or June , june. Oh, you're like. June June. You're like.

59:40Mitch:June June.

59:41Tom:I was like that's not a real word.

59:44Mitch:Also, call of Duty is going to be supposedly, like I said, rumored as well, but it's supposedly going to be coming to . Xbox Game rumored as well, but it's supposedly be coming to xbox game pass for the 2024 launch of the newest game, or whatever is it going to be like a couple days after launch or is it going to be at launch? uh, it says xbox president sarah bond has indicated microsoft will launch 2024's call of duty game straight into game Pass. Huh, like I said, it says rumor , but it says that she's indicated it and I got this off of the IGN app their news, I believe it says, reported that Microsoft is still debating whether to release this year's Call of Duty Reportedly a Black Ops game set in the Gulf War day one on its subscription service

1:00:30Mitch:. So they're still debating it, but they said it's highly likely .

1:00:34Tom:They're not going to. They want the money for the sales. Maybe, so, that's what's going to happen.

1:00:40Mitch:They've got a Dune Prophecy TV show which is based on Dune. Yeah, Dune, it's supposed to be based off some kind of sister. I don't know a lot about Dune. I don't know anything about Dune. If.

1:00:53Tom:Rachel was here, she could tell us about it. She's read the books. I bought her the set.

1:00:57Mitch:Some sisterhood and their rise to power. But, like I said, I don't know enough about Dune to tell you about Something for Tom Lego. The Lord of the Rings, baradur, is coming soon.

1:01:08Tom:They're making that? Yeah, you got a picture. Let me see that.

1:01:11Mitch:It's only a small picture, but they're making the tower.

1:01:15Tom:Ooh.

1:01:16Mitch:How about that?

1:01:20Tom:5,471 pieces.

1:01:21Mitch:I can build that in a day and actually it will be available on the Lego store on June 4th. Sounds like pre-ordering now. I'm pulling it up right now.

1:01:30Tom:Yeah, Lego andordering now. I'm pulling it up right now. Yeah, Lego and Barad-Dur.

1:01:31Mitch:I mean, normally we don't talk about Lego stuff, but I figured Tom would like that.

1:01:34Tom:Where would I put it. On top. Yeah, it has to be on top Menacingly, or as my mom called it, the flaming vagina.

1:01:43Mitch:The Roadhouse movie with Jake Gyllenhaal is getting a sequel $460? .

1:01:49Tom:Yeah, it's a lot of money.

1:01:50Mitch:I didn't tell you that part it said On here. It said $499.

1:01:54Tom:It's $459 on the the thing. Can I Contains button or a coin ? Does it light up?

1:02:06Mitch:Yeah, I think the top lights up.

1:02:08Tom:That's cool.

1:02:09Mitch:But the Roadhouse movie that just came out with Jake Gyllenhaal. I'm looking at a bear door.

1:02:14Tom:Oh, it's got a throne and flags and stuff hanging. Do I get a little Sauron?

1:02:17Mitch:Let's see. House of the Dragon Season 2 will be coming out June 16th. That's a little sooner than I thought, because I mean, granted , it's been a long time yeah.

1:02:27Tom:Oh, look at all the little guys you get. You get Gollum, you get Frodo and Sam I don't know who that is . You get the Malthusauron. Hey focus. You get. Sauron.

1:02:35Mitch:You get some orcs. You also have Hawkeye. Season 2 has been greenlit by Marvel, which I really enjoyed. The Hawkeye series, mm-hmm. So, and while while Tom focuses on his phone instead of the podcast, I'm listening to you.

1:02:50Tom:Hawkeye Season 2 got greenlit with Jeremy Renner.

1:02:53Mitch:All right, well, that's all I have. Any other words, Tom?

1:02:56Tom:Yeah, this Lego Baradora looks really cool and I feel like I'm going to spend $500 on my guys. And Rachel's just going to be mad at me because I did it.

1:03:04Mitch:Look, you're not married yet. You can spend your money on whatever you want to spend it on .

1:03:07Tom:That is true.

1:03:08Mitch:I'm just wondering where the hell I'm going to put it. I'm looking around the apartment All over the coffee table.

1:03:12Tom:I want to see the TV, not the flaming eye.

1:03:16Mitch:You just have to move your stuff over there and put it on that desk.

1:03:19Tom:Everyone that comes in can see it, I'd have to clean off that.

1:03:22Mitch:Or heck, you got a bar, just put it right here.

1:03:24Tom:That's no right here I don't want to, because then you get wet.

1:03:29Mitch:you know Just don't make a mess. You blowing your nose all over the damn place.

1:03:36Tom:Anyways, that's all I have for this week. I don't think I got anything else. All right, well, that was it. Bye, I'm.

1:03:41Mitch:Tom, I'm Mitch.

1:03:45Tom:Bye. That does look really cool, I want it.

1:03:50Mitch:I thought you would like it. Show up and give me money. That's all that matters. You can pre-order. I'm going to give you my money now, suck it.
