0:00Tom:Woo A Ric Flair. That one doesn't work. Anyways hello, welcome to the podcast. It's about TV shows. It's about games. My name's Tom. With me I have and.

0:37Mitch:I was trying to see if I could start a fire with that thing. I'm just like not on a fire, fire.

0:41Tom:You're just trying to commit arson in my apartment. It just yeah. The lighter doesn't work much. The more you do it, the more it doesn't work. It's shocking Lighten the dude light.

0:53Mitch:Hey you guys. Anyways, welcome to entertain this. Our social media is at this. Wait, wait, I messed it up, I messed it up.

1:02Tom:Before we get into the meat and potatoes in this episode social media Mitch.

1:07Mitch:Disregard that first part. Well, entertainthispodcastcom, which will take you to our Facebook group and page. You also have our TikTok and YouTube, which is entertainthisexclamationpoint. We also have our Twitter, which is at this entertained, and our Instagram, which is entertainthis.

1:22Tom:Those things.

1:22Mitch:Yeah.

1:24Tom:So we did Last episode. Last episode yes, we did not like a total scene by scene, but like a review of the 2000 Bryan Singer film X-Men. Yes, to coincide. Now it's spreading to me To coincide with the release of the X-Men 97 animated series.

1:46Mitch:That'll be on Disney Plus.

1:48Tom:That'll be on Disney Plus. They're rebooting it or sequeling it.

1:50Mitch:It's like a sequel. They're going to take a place right after the end of the original.

1:54Tom:But we're not talking about X-Men in this one. We're talking about Oppenheimer .

1:59Mitch:Bombs, oh sorry. Bombs Big ol' bombs, big ol' bombs. I won't go ahead and get this out of the way. Tom is not a big fan. I'm very much into it. It's not that.

2:08Tom:I wasn't a big fan. I just wasn't as impressed as I thought it was a good film. It was a good movie. It was like an 8 out of 10 movie to me, okay, but I wasn't as like shocked or blown away or enthralled as other people or like stroking it like oh my God, oppenheimer, silly Murphy, matt Taiman, robin Ager. I was like, yeah, this was a good movie. Okay, there you go.

2:34Mitch:I won an Oscar. I won a couple of Oscars.

2:36Tom:Yeah, rob's out in Junior, and Silly Murphy won Oscars.

2:39Mitch:Best actor and best supporting actor.

2:42Tom:I think it's been a while since the lead in co-starring person won in the same movie.

2:48Mitch:I don't know how long ?

2:50Tom:So much has looked that up. Hey, look that up.

2:52Mitch:Yeah, get back to us.

2:53Tom:Messages Tell us. Tell us on social media.

2:55Mitch:Anyways, we're going to do our scene by scene kind of breakdown of the movie here. If you haven't seen it yet and you want to watch it first, it's on Peacock. I was like you're down to go, it's on Peacock.

3:11Tom:What's that from? I don't know.

3:12Mitch:I've heard that Maybe Family Guy or something, I don't know. Anyways, the movie starts with Oppenheimer basically in trial and he's being accused of being a commie. He's like sitting at the little desk with all these people around.

3:28Tom:Yeah, it's a tiny little office. There's a reason for it. Later on, yeah, they explain why.

3:33Mitch:Basically, they're accusing him of being a commie and then it kind of it goes from that and flashes into the story leading up to all that. The next scene is Strauss having a discussion at the Senate hearing, talking about how he's wanted to be elected to be part of the Senate now, and stuff like that. Then it moves on to OPI. Well, they call him OPI Oppenheimer. Yeah, they call him OPI. He's in school and he almost poisons his teacher. What was it A?

4:10Tom:potassium cyanide. Yeah, he injected it to an apple.

4:13Mitch:Because the teacher wouldn't let him go to a.

4:16Tom:Because he was messing up in his labs or whatever.

4:18Mitch:But he was wanting to go to some kind of seminar and they wouldn't let him Some lecture he told me he had to clean up the lab or whatever.

4:24Tom:Yeah.

4:25Mitch:So he about poisons and kills his teacher.

4:27Tom:Yeah, it's finally.

4:31Mitch:But then it kind of goes into like a little montage of him studying and stuff.

4:36Tom:I don't know what we got to go to this whole thing, where he's like seeing these weird images and I'm like did the real Oppenheimer see this crap?

4:43Mitch:He's picturing all the stuff in his mind.

4:44Tom:That's what it's supposed to be like, because his mind is that complex.

4:47Mitch:That's what it's supposed to be.

4:48Tom:He's that smart. Yeah, he's smarter than you. I mean he was.

4:54Mitch:Anyways, he goes to where he meets the guy that was doing the seminar. I forgot his name.

5:00Tom:I know it's Neil Kenneth Branagh.

5:04Mitch:That's the actor. I think he's.

5:05Tom:Boer that's the guy's last name B-O-R-H or B-O-H-R.

5:09Mitch:No, that's who they wanted to go study from. No, it's.

5:11Tom:Bon B-O-Winnam.

5:13Mitch:But anyways, he picks up the apple Like he's about to take a bite of it.

5:18Tom:Silly Murphy snatches it from him and then he throws it up, and I'm just like you throw it.

5:23Mitch:But then they have that discussion. He tells him, like you know, go to this school. You know it's better for you if you're not good with math or something like that. So then you go into like a montage of him studying at this new school and then you have like the cosmos kind of like pictures and stuff showing up with all those stars.

5:38Tom:Explosions and he's just like I'm going to blow up everything.

5:43Mitch:And then it goes back to Strauss at the Senate hearing, where he's which is like a, I guess, an appointment confirmation hearing.

5:49Tom:Yeah, they're kind of grilling them.

5:51Mitch:Yeah, Well, because there's more to it towards as the movie goes on, which and this? Whole movie kind of like jumps back and forth a lot from.

5:58Tom:So you have like Strauss's hearing and his stuff which is all black and white Right, and then you have Oppenheimer's stuff which is all shot in color, so you know when you're in the different narrative.

6:08Mitch:But you have Strauss's stuff which is black and white, and then you have Oppenheimer, where he's at the like the trial kind of thing, in the little office room and then you have all the stuff in between which is explaining the story as it goes along. So it jumps around a lot. But basically in the past you have Strauss, he brings Oppenheimer to the institute, which this, I find out, this actually takes place after he's developed the bomb.

6:35Tom:Yes, cause, like Einstein's there.

6:39Mitch:Right, he's where he talks to Einstein and you find out later like he's just talking to him to talk to him.

6:46Tom:Yeah, they're just talking to talk.

6:48Mitch:And but Strauss like took it, took a fence.

6:50Tom:Cause Einstein just like walks by and like with like a plus on his face. Cause he's like Albert and he just keeps going. He's like I don't need to talk to you, you're an idiot.

6:56Mitch:So then, yeah, so then it comes to be revealed that Strauss thinks that you know Oppenheimer, put all the scientists against him.

7:04Tom:Yeah, he's been sabotaging him Cause it all started from like him giving him like a slight at like some hearing where he like makes a joke.

7:11Mitch:Well, yeah, he made a joke about him being a lowly shoe salesman directed at him and he, you know immediately, was just like okay, but um, but then Oppen, oppen, uh little bit of Oppenheimer leads the uh, the uh. The Dutch like meeting or whatever.

7:31Tom:Like um, yeah, and he only had six weeks.

7:33Mitch:Yeah, he learned Dutch in six weeks to do a seminar on quantum physics. And I forgot the other guy's name that shows up with the glasses. He's like oh yeah, if you need help talking to the English or understanding the English parts, let me know. And then he starts talking to them.

7:46Tom:He's like Rabi or something, or I think so. He's another scientist.

7:51Mitch:Um, but also it also jumps to where you see Oppenheimer meet uh Heisenberg, which ends up being Hitler's lead scientist or a scientist for Hitler later on. Um then, uh you have. Uh. Oppenheimer begins his work at Berkeley. He meets Dr Lawrence which is what was he doing again, um they were.

8:12Tom:The fusion was like a , uh, like an Adam Collider. Okay, there, there, this is just scientists who just had a lot of money and just nothing else to do. There's just like let's just shoot Adams and we try to see what happens. Who cares if, like we suddenly cause a chain reaction, destroys the entire planet and existence as we know it?

8:27Mitch:Um, but anyways. Uh, after they meet they have a discussion. Um, oppenheimer goes to like this meeting with his brother and his brother's wife, which ends up being like basically an American.

8:38Tom:Communist Party. This is before cause. In the 1950s communism, and like party stuff was banned, it was made illegal in the United States. Yeah, there's, like you know, the McCarthy era.

8:52Mitch:Um, let's see.

8:53Tom:Post World War II.

8:54Mitch:That's where he meets Jean and they, like they discussed communism and then boom, yeah, then he sleeps with her, you know she's riding them. And there's kind of like a provocative and creepy scene in that as well where, like he's reading the text, he's like and I've become death, and she's like screw it yeah.

9:14Tom:It's just like. What is this Like? I don't think that really happened.

9:18Mitch:If it did, she's a freak with super freak, she's super frik. Then it goes on to the next scene where oppie, his brother and Lawrence are having like a camp out, I guess in Arizona at this point yeah, new Mexico.

9:34Tom:Oh, New Mexico, where they're cause they have a ranch yeah.

9:36Mitch:They're out there just, you know, kind of camping out and just discussing that loss. He finds out that his brother's getting married and he's like as long as it makes you happy. He's like I'm happy. Which that's? How, brother's supposed to be. Oppenheimer learns like nuclear fission as possible, which I forgot what it was.

9:59Tom:Tell her they figured out cause they figured out that they can split atoms with whatever the machine that they, you know, sign stuff that I obviously not at all qualified to speak on. They figured out cause they're like watching, like a little thing, it goes, like it's like, it's like there's been like 30 and like the last, like you know , 10 minutes and they're like science in my head. I just kept picturing this song blinded me with science or blind me by science, cause I guess, as the song keeps going, there's just some guy in the background to check science, science. It's just like the whole time in my head I'm just watching Science, science.

10:32Mitch:Basically, this is the point where he learns that nuclear fission is possible. Yes, the machine shows that it's available. Then he, yeah. He's like I'm not sure. Then he, yeah. It goes to a scene where oppies to give him like a speech about unionizing the scientists, lawrence walks in like what would you know about? Like, yeah, what would you know about? Like you know hard times as a scientist, getting paid big money at.

10:56Tom:Berkeley.

10:58Mitch:But they're like we got to unionize.

10:59Tom:It really just kind of shows like that whole, like communism, hippie nonsense at Berkeley and like these California schools going on since the 40s.

11:09Mitch:But then you're at this same point. You also Lawrence reveals to him that he's being watched by the government because of all this communism talk and stuff like that yeah, this is back when we go into well, they don't give a crap now.

11:20Tom:Then they definitely didn't.

11:24Mitch:Let's see Fix a. You have the Oppenheimer gets his paper about black holes published, but it kind of gets overshadowed by World War two stars.

11:33Tom:Pearl Harbor happened yeah.

11:35Mitch:So it's like the start of World War two. So that kind of puts his stuff on the back burner.

11:39Tom:Isn't there something that happened? But the Germans did it first.

11:43Mitch:I don't remember.

11:46Tom:Do they have like a German newspaper or something like German scientists had figured out something, they did something. I don't know something like bomb related or fusion or fission or science science.

12:00Mitch:Anyways, the next scene he is where he first meets his soon-to-be-wife kitty.

12:04Tom:Which is like.

12:04Mitch:Emily. Blunt. And then it goes to the next scene after that is where he's breaking into Jean that he's about to get married because he. Dr Up and she's like crying and stuff. But what kills me is like she hates him and loves him at the same time.

12:17Tom:Yeah, I'd be like I'm out of here. Like you, you got too much baggage upstairs for me to have to try to deal with. Like like you're mad at me all the time and but you want to see me, but you don't, and I bring your flowers and you get mad and you throw them out. And then you're like getting the house and I'm like, well, I don't know what you want, what do you?

12:35Mitch:want, tell me what you want.

12:38Tom:Clear signals.

12:39Mitch:Anyways, then Oppenheimer goes home, the kiddies like drunk, like I guess it fast-forward, so certain.

12:46Tom:Yeah, they had the kid, but she's like drunk kids crying yeah, she's she's just like you're home.

12:54Mitch:And then they, basically they give up their child for a while and I guess, was it another scientist?

13:00Tom:Yeah, some guy. He was a communism guy.

13:02Mitch:Okay, no, a communist at the little bit later communal babies opi's approached by a Colonel graves to work on the bomb or he's he's over the Manhattan project.

13:13Tom:He's like talking to me. He's like, oh, my name came up. He's like no, and he's just talking to him and he's just like, and I've been, I was like going through like the motion of what you know. He's just gonna be in charge and he's just like I didn't say he's like I know, he's like I'm just considering it and he's just I was like you know, oh, here, here, you know we'd have like a main line to here, a main line to here and we'd meet here in the middle of nowhere, which would be Los Alamos and then at this point you kind of realize that he.

13:37Mitch:He's well, he mentions that, like the Nazis, have like a head start on them basically because they're basically like 18 months ahead of him. But he, he kind of reveals that their downfall would be that they don't. They don't work together like they don't trust each other.

13:50Tom:Well no, it was Hitler what. Was he taught? Because Hitler, like, was publicly like. You know this kind of stuff like fusion, splitting atoms and stuff. He's like it's Jewish, you know propaganda and stuff like. He's like he's not gonna fund it.

14:04Mitch:Right, he didn't put as much effort into it, as we would right, but then again they also had the head start, so you know they had to catch up to him. But the. Germans. Then Oppenheimer basically plans the security and structure of the Manhattan Project Forum. Then he starts recruiting the scientists and trying to convince them to like come join. It's like a cult. They live out in the middle of the desert. Yeah, work on science, but that do science. They, basically the government, builds this entire town like yeah, overnight. But the for the scientists and their families come live, because he basically convinces them that the only way they're gonna get the scientists to come there. Is it like a bring their family ?

14:40Mitch:Yeah, then Convinces a Izzy. Oh, remember what this was I wrote. I wrote stuff down and I can't remember what it is now. I said convinces Izzy. Nazis can't be trusted to win the bomb race.

14:59Tom:Oh, the guy with the glasses.

15:01Mitch:Okay, oh, that was his name. Um, anyways, oppenheimer has trouble working, has his troubled work, like the, where they weren't sure if the Atmosphere would ignite. He takes the. I mean, it worked out. This is a three-out movie, so we're kind of, yeah, breezing through a lot of stuff.

15:17Tom:Yeah, but no, they. They come up with the calculation that like there's a chance. Like there's a chance, like the chain reaction won't stop. Yeah, it'll keep going and it'll ignite the atmosphere and destroy all life on the planet. Yes, and then, like he goes, he meets. What's his face? he meets Einstein yeah and he shows it to him and he's reading it. He's like who did these? He's like so. So he's like say I wanted you to read person goes. He's like no, it's like so and so good, it's like he'd be just as good. And it's just like yeah, you guys are playing with real fire this time.

15:55Mitch:But then they have like a meeting with all the scientists where they're discussing like how they could make a bomb, whether it be Euronium, arp, euronium uranium, or plutonium plutonium or hydrogen, and they kind of scoff at the idea of a.

16:06Tom:Yeah, the Hungarian guys like hydrogen and it's just like if only you guys knew. If only you guys knew ten years from then. Yeah, they just got to know that the H bomb is like literally.

16:18Mitch:It, yeah, the meeting of the mines for like the bomb. They kind of meet about the needs for a bomb, like they're all when a Strauss is there the table there having like that dinner and they're saying like, oh yeah, well, they want to bomb by. You know this date and you know they're trying to convince.

16:34Tom:Other half that they need one while they're working on like detonators and like how to ignite it right. It's like we'll just launch Particles into it at rapid speed and explosion to cause it which , and then the next scene is they still have they.

16:46Mitch:You find out, they still haven't given Alvenheimer clearance, which, if he's working on it, I don't understand how the clearance doesn't work. If he's the mind behind it, how does he not have security?

16:55Tom:This is the word that he's like a commie and he's just running around. He's like he was like out like another meeting, but but if he's and he's being followed if he's working on the project, how would he not know about this? And then, like he sneaks away to go see that gene girl.

17:06Mitch:Yeah, I mean, can you blame him? I mean what?

17:11Tom:All right, they sleep together again and then like she doesn't kill herself.

17:15Mitch:But uh, yeah, you have oppie heat or Oppenheimer visits the uranium lab that's under the university. Was that? Was that at Berkeley, or was that? That's not where in Pittsburgh, wasn't it Was?

17:24Tom:it Chicago, I remember but, I, have like a base kind of going on in Chicago .

17:28Mitch:Anyways, wherever this lab, the uranium lab, was, it was under the football field that they weren't using anymore, some kind of university, I think Chicago. Then you find out dr Lawrence. Dr Lawrence joins Oppenheimer at Los Alamos, which he was played by what Josh Hartnett? Yeah yeah. Oppenheimer then goes to visit Jean and cheats on his wife and then at the same time tells Jean that he can no longer see her after he's had sex with her. I Like the fact that he told her after the fact after they bumped it.

18:01Tom:After they bumped it ugliest like we can't keep doing this. It's just like you could have opened with that.

18:07Mitch:Then it kind of jumps back to the trial that Oppenheimer's having in the little back room when kitty's trying to convince him to like fight back against him as far as , like you know lawyers and stuff like that, oppenheimer meets Colonel Pash, which Graves told him to steer, stay away from, and he like because this dude just kills people. Yeah For suspicion, that's all. It all takes suspicion. He'll kill him.

18:30Tom:Yeah. But basically then they think that jingle she was actually. They drowned her in the tub like it was him that did.

18:37Mitch:Yeah, that's all that you were you see, like the gloved hand, like holding there, it's like they say it's suicide and you see like her putting her head in there and then it flashes to a scene where you see a hand holding her there. So you know it kind of throws shade into whether that was suicide or whether he was. She was killed. But Oppenheimer lies to Pash about, you know, search Circumstances. So you know you have a little bit of kind of back and forth there and that's kind of where they catch him in the communist trial thing. Then you go to the Christmas party where the science, the scientist Holman, is like missing and Like they they don't know where it, like he's not like missing, like they can't

19:17Mitch:find him, like he's left the compound and he won't come. He hasn't come back.

19:20Tom:Thank you killed.

19:22Mitch:Well they, they joked about they would kill him. Let's kill him. He's like I'm just joking.

19:27Tom:He's like am I?

19:30Mitch:But the next scene they meet and they realize that the Nazi scientists have made like a wrong turn and their their theories and stuff. So they've actually caught up to him and surpassed them and as far as like developing the bomb . Then the next scene, opi finds out that Jean committed suicide. So he's like devastated, but then I wrote down, like where you were talking about where was she assassinated? Because you see the black glove . Yeah. Then the scientists shook up on the project where they kind of meet like a yeah, one dudes like kind of quit and he's just like Go get out of here, it's like your charge of this.

20:03Tom:Now You're charged this, you're in charge of this.

20:04Mitch:You do this they kind of meet it like a dead end because they can't all agree, so that he switches up the project where different people are working on different things because the Hungarian guy just threatens to quit and they're like, well, let him leave is a use. And then he's just like no, he's like, stay here, keep working on your research, keep working on the hydrogen thing and then it Flashes to another meeting, with Strauss at the table, with, like Lawrence, all them where they're at the dinner table and they're discussing the, the implications of. They keep moving the centerpiece.

20:29Tom:Yeah, see each other across the table, because they're getting, because they got the radiation reports from Russia that indicate a massive Explosion. Yeah, and that would be like the hydrogen bomb which they were like project super. Yeah which was their RH bomb project. And then they're like in, he's like oh, it's like there's no ways I wouldn't work and say and they're just like, apparently he did because they did it, yeah , like they totally did it. The.

20:53Mitch:Russians figured it out. Then it kind of moves on to where Oppenheimer walks in, as all the scientists are having a meeting about whether it's morally acceptable To make this atom bomb, and he's like you know, it's not up to you to decide whether to use it. It's just our job to make it. Yeah what's you know? I kind of agree and disagree with you. Know, if you're making it, you're giving them the possibility.

21:17Tom:I mean, yeah, you the idea in the concept that we can make a bomb that could virtually incinerate a smaller city? Yeah, and one one bomb or potentially kill everyone or, you know, incinerate the entire planet and we would be having this podcast or this conversation Because we wouldn't have been born. Yeah, but then the implication of using it like the ethical Mm-hmm because there's no military target big enough where it would even be feasible. Right, that's gonna be a civilian fallout.

21:42Mitch:Yeah, and then the next thing they kind of start talking where he meets graves and they're talking about Testing the bomb and they name it Trinity. I forget that his like some philosophical meaning that he and his devolved down to Trinity as far as the name of it. But the general discusses how and why to use an, a bomb on Tokyo and and I forgot his name he's a fire bomb Tokyo. Well, they talk about using the a bomb on Tokyo and the psychology behind it, like in their meeting and now, like you know if you haven't a meeting.

22:14Tom:They're trying to designate the two targets.

22:16Mitch:Well, they said they were gonna bomb Tokyo and they're like no, it'll be two bombs, oh, one to show that we can do it. No one to show that we can keep doing it. Yeah, so that was kind of. It's interesting to see the default like the thought process behind all the people in the government just deciding, like, which city we're gonna Take off the freaking planet and then it goes back to them preparing for the test and sure it shows where they're not sure of the safe distance. So, like they said, they said the bomb. They're like, yeah, we should move it back when they set off, like miles. Miles, mind you. But yeah, they're not sure of the safe distance of the radiation or the act, or the possibility of the atmosphere

22:53Mitch:ignition.

22:54Tom:Where he's just like he's like it's near zero, and then, and that David's like near , well, zero before that that, yeah, they have.

23:01Mitch:Like the storm that shows up and it nearly stopped.

23:04Tom:He's like it'll break .

23:05Mitch:Yeah, and then setting up the fish little test. I you have like teller, the guy that wants to do the H bomb. He puts on the class. He's just like kicking himself in sunscreen.

23:14Tom:I know the Hungarian guy is yeah, cuz the one dude he's like the glass to stop the UV and he and then the guy was gonna stop the glass.

23:25Mitch:But then you have the explosion, which that was pretty cool. That was a cool sequence it was really cool to watch on like a high-def TV.

23:32Tom:You imagine seeing that crap for like the very first time.

23:35Mitch:We terrifying incredibly terrifying.

23:38Tom:I mean it would be like awesome, like oh, that was cool. Then it's like what have we done?

23:42Mitch:Well, because you had the explosion and they didn't think about, like the, the aftershock of the explosion, because they're like miles away and then people get like knocked over yeah they all stand up and they're watching the fireball and also with the shockwave, so it'd be kind of scary. Then the next thing, you have them loading up two bombs in the back of the trucks while Oppenheimer watches as they drive off Mm. Hmm, they kind of thought it was kind of rude of them. I mean, gregg, they don't care, but they kind of disregarded Oppenheimer when it came to actually using them. They didn't tell him. He found out over the radio that they used it twice, yeah. But you thought like, hey, we're , we're going to use it where,

24:20Mitch:this is your bomb. They keep them in the loop a little bit, so they're concerned . Ok, they just need the bomb.

24:26Tom:They just need the bomb, and once they had how to make it, they didn't need them anymore. Yeah, it's like we, just we can replicate it. Now we can get people to replicate this.

24:33Mitch:But then they have like the celebration for Oppenheimer and it's like they're at the compound, it's a lot of and he's like watching him get like evaporated.

24:40Tom:Yeah, because he's like what have I?

24:42Mitch:done, yeah. Then Truman announces the H bomb program, or sorry, he meets Truman with.

24:50Tom:Gary Oldman. I was surprised, like Gary Oldman, yeah, well, yeah.

24:54Mitch:But he meets him and he's like, don't let that pansy back in here.

25:00Tom:I ain't Truman Truman on the balls to drop the bomb twice?

25:03Mitch:Yeah, and that's what he said, like nobody cares who made it, they care who used it. So I could agree with that. You know that he might have made it, but this is the guy that implemented and used it on.

25:12Tom:That he? This is the dude who gave the green light. Do it, no it's Japan.

25:17Mitch:Japan hasn't been an enemy since, one of our biggest allies. But then, a little bit later, truman announces that the H bomb program has been, you know, implemented and Oppenheimer gets like recommended to, I think he's only time magazine.

25:34Tom:The father of the bomb.

25:37Mitch:Then the FBI, kind of hounds Oppenheimer.

25:39Tom:I think that's a couple of years later.

25:41Mitch:It's like in yeah, it passed forward.

25:42Tom:It's like 1949 or something.

25:44Mitch:But he gets like there was a spy that was confirmed to work at Los Alamos supposedly, so he kind of gets hounded about that in the little trial meeting. Then you go to the Strouse at the Senate hearing where his aid is kind of like realizing that Strouse is the one that set up Oppenheimer when, out of spite, yeah, when Emily Blunt was calling it from the beginning, uh, huh, yeah, she's like it's Strouse and everybody's like, nah, yeah, it wouldn't be him she's like there was a glass and she just started shouting at him like pointing out the facts.

26:15Tom:It's just like yeah listen to the woman. She knows what she's talking about.

26:20Mitch:And then the next thing is the revelation that Strouse has implemented this whole thing is behind all of it, yeah, uh, you reveal. It reveals that the trial is heavily one sided, like it's basically a witch hunt just to keep Oppenheimer out of any kind of security clearance or project in the future.

26:35Tom:Yeah, his attorney hasn't given any documents or procedures. No, the witnesses are. He's got nothing.

26:41Mitch:Uh, then you have the goes back to the Senate hearing where you have his disagreements, and then Dr Hill, which you didn't think would like, oppenheimer, because he kind of disregarded his uh yeah uh, was it a petition?

26:53Tom:Yeah.

26:54Mitch:But he takes up for who's that, oh yeah. He takes up for Oppenheimer and basically tells how Strouse has been vindictive and yeah, which I thought was really nice. And then, uh, then you have Kitty that comes in and joins the small trial and she really like put the tool to.

27:10Tom:Yeah, she's giving the business now Like the lawyer , like looks there like they're a lawyer, just like. Yeah, like that was a good singer, yeah.

27:17Mitch:I mean she puts them in their place. Um then it goes back to Strouse getting mad because basically he doesn't make it to the Senate hearing, or like he doesn't get part of.

27:25Tom:He doesn't get like confirmed.

27:26Mitch:Yeah, Because they he's exposed by Hill for all the wrong doings that he's done. Um, then you have trial. Uh, Bob, which is the name of the, the bad guys under the bad guys, the uh, the government's lawyer. Basically, he continues to persecute Oppenheimer, who was brought in specifically for this . Yeah, uh. And then you find out, strouse has been officially denied for his uh Senate hearing by a none other than uh Kennedy himself.

27:52Tom:It's like some senator, like he switched. It's like who is like some new guy? Kennedy, uh, john, john F Kennedy.

27:59Mitch:It's like ah, he's just trying to make a name for himself, jfk.

28:04Tom:Oh, his career is not going to go anywhere.

28:06Mitch:But I mean, I really enjoyed watching this movie Like it was it wasn't bad.

28:10Tom:I mean, it was kind of there's a lot going on.

28:13Mitch:This is the first it might be a double watch movie to me this is the first movie that wasn't like action or mystery or something like that.

28:19Tom:They get me on the edge of my seat Like I knew the overall outcome but I got closer To when they were developing the bomb and how it would work and then like the testing of it, that was kind of like oh crap, because this was history being made Like no one had anybody had done anything like that.

28:36Mitch:But, um. I, like I said I really enjoyed watching this.

28:38Tom:All the acting is like great, it's all great acting, and then no one. No one was weak in this entire. There's tons of like uh actors, Cameo bits, Just dudes popping up and you're like oh that guy and I.

28:49Mitch:I read something that the uh, the director, chris for Nolan. He specifically chose all these actors and stuff because he didn't want any scientist to be like just an afterthought. They wanted each one to have a role like that. He was there for a reason.

29:01Tom:Yeah.

29:02Mitch:So that's why they chose actual actors for everything. Um, gary Oldman, like he, basically he volunteered his time for that small scene, yeah.

29:09Tom:So, from what I've read, Sherman was a jackass.

29:13Mitch:Um I also found out that the, the IMAX uh reel that they had for this was over a mile long and it was like 600 pounds for the, the film reel, she, but uh, she, she. And then they also had like a uh um, they had made like a I guess like a joke film, like a trailer, cause you know how Christopher Nolan likes to use practical effects, like when he actually crashed a 747 to get the explosion and stuff. Well, they made like a joke trailer where they're like oh yeah, we we, uh, we got this atom bomb. We're out here in the desert, we're getting ready to test. For no, we're going to catch it on film, but it was like a whole joke, like uh that sounds like some crap, you do. But yeah, because you know he's , uh, you know, rumored to

29:59Mitch:always want to use practical effects. They made this big joke kind of commercial for it. So it was pretty cool. But, uh, if you haven't seen this movie, I would enjoy it, I would, I enjoyed it, I wouldn't. Uh, that's all folks. I would encourage you to watch it.

30:19Tom:It wasn't bad. It was a good movie.

30:21Mitch:It's on peacock, like I say it's. You know, if you have peacock it doesn't cost you anything extra.

30:26Tom:So I was happy it was on peacock. I might I'm sorry I might I might watch it again and just see and just be like, yeah, there's a revisit and see.

30:37Mitch:I mean, I liked it the first time. Yeah, I watched it twice.

30:41Tom:I watched it the first time just to watch the film and then I watched it the second time to kind of write down See there's, there's a lot happening in this movie and, like every scene right, it's a constant, it's a I don't want to say it's a slow burn. It burns high, but it starts burning more mid late movie.

30:57Mitch:I think I feel like cause they switched scenes a lot really fast. And I don't feel like any scene drags on just too long to where you just get completely bored.

31:04Tom:Yeah.

31:04Mitch:Like they do a good job keeping it, keeping the pace up Let me ask you this Did you have the balls to drop the bomb? After they bomb Pearl Harbor. Yeah, yeah, screw them.

31:14Tom:Cause there I remember like people would debate this all the time, like in like college, when I was in history classes, and I doubt it would always be one they bring up. It's like would you drop the bombs versus invasion? And it'd be like like, statistically, like what the United States was looking at invading the mainland islands of Japan all four of them was like we're going to lose probably a million people doing this. Well, that, and they're just, we're fighting the entire population.

31:37Mitch:And their military. Their philosophy was not. We don't just give up.

31:41Tom:There is no such thing as surrender.

31:42Mitch:That's why they had suicide you know bombers and stuff like that, the common kind of way, or you kill all of us, that's it. That's, that was their philosophy.

31:49Tom:So yeah, they've been training women and children like their propaganda machine against the Americans and, you know, white people really was like out of control and it was like you have people who like retired of it, but like the majority and the people who ran Japan then was the military Like Hideki Tojo and ran all that crap and it was just like we're not backing down, like come on, bring it, yeah, we'll fight with weapons, swords, rocks forever, like it's over, like there was Japanese prisoners or soldiers who were still on Pacific islands, who were surrendering, like into the 60s.

32:22Mitch:I mean who?

32:23Tom:didn't know it was over and we're still holding it out like it was on.

32:26Mitch:To me you can't that's dedication. You can't attack someone that wasn't fighting you and then then, when they retaliate, you know, say, oh, we're the victim, you started it, we just finished it.

32:39Tom:I mean I really haven't seen a whole lot of Japan being like oh, you didn't have to do that, it's just like you guys surprise, attacked us and like and the crap you guys pulled in the Philippines and in China.

32:54Mitch:I'm just kind of saying, like you know, current politics as well. In man king current politics, you can't attack someone and then, when they retaliate, you get upset saying, oh, we're the victim, yeah just say don't work like that, chief.

33:08Tom:But anyways, I would drop the bomb, yeah.

33:11Mitch:Now that you know that we're genocidal. Thank you for joining us on our episode about Oppenheimer.

33:17Tom:It was a great run we had on this show before we got canceled.

33:22Mitch:I'm going to move on to something else that I played this week.

33:26Tom:What have you played, Mitch?

33:27Mitch:I have played WWE 2K Nobody cares. The one that I talked to.

33:31Tom:It's another wrestling game, it's just more.

33:34Mitch:It is amazing because it's the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania. They have this showcase mode where it takes you through every WrestleMania in history. But it's really cool because they want you to recreate the matches and it does a really good job of like a narrator in between, Like it has cutscenes in the middle of the matches where it goes back to the original footage of amazingly like combines them, Like as you're doing the move that it recommends you do, it cuts to that cut scene and it just blends in like that. I mean it just fades in and out to where it matches perfectly. It's a really fun thing. They've added the my Rise story back to it where basically you create a character and kind of like in the NCAA games or stuff

34:13Mitch:like that, where you create your character and progress through the season. They've made it. They used to have this and they've made it again where you create your wrestler and you have to go through the story, depending on the decisions you make.

34:25Tom:It's not the OG Madden games, where you could do 99 plus all stats and some dude who's like seven foot five and like 400 pounds and runs faster than like Dion Sanders.

34:35Mitch:To start out the my Rise thing my guy has a 77 overall, so you got to build it.

34:40Tom:You got to work your way up to the top.

34:41Mitch:But, like I had said in one of our previous episodes, there's 200 people on this game but you got to like you have your main roster and then you got to unlock all the other ones , and some of them are like repeats. Like it's the motorcycle undertaker, you have the dead man undertaker, you have the original undertaker. Some of those are like repeats, but it's different. You know eras of that character . It has a lot of game modes. It added like a backstage brawl kind of match and add an ambulance match where you're you got to put your guy in the ambulance and shut the doors, things like that. They had the war games where it's too uh, they put this in the last one, but it's got the two cages around around two

35:24Mitch:rings and it's four on four only inside of them. So it's pretty fun. But, yeah, I like I've never done the showcase mode off lot, but this one's really fun just because it starts off like my first match was, was it? The first one I remember doing was Hulk Hogan versus Andre the Giant and WrestleMania 3. So you had that match and once you complete the match, you on Hulk Hogan. Yeah, once you complete that match, though, you unlock that Hulk Hogan and you unlock Andre the Giant where you can use them in the regular. So it's really cool. It's fun. I really like the showcase story mode where they they blew in the actual footage.

35:59Tom:I love the story about Andre the Giant, where he drank like a hundred something beers and passed out in a hotel lobby and like they brought like eight people to try to move them because they just left them there all night. He's just in the lobby and just passed out on the floor. It's like the funniest thing ever.

36:16Mitch:Anyways, the like making the characters and stuff. It's really good. Like you can do the, the Like entrance creation, and you can all like customize all the way down to where, like you could edit, like when the pyro goes off at certain points and stuff like that now. So it's a lot of fun. I Enjoy the wrestling games. It's it's just kind of a mindless like. I can jump on. It doesn't take long, I can just play a match and be done with it. I'm still enjoying hell, diverse though I.

36:46Tom:Super earth needs your help.

36:47Mitch:I'm trying to get Tom to help me fight for democracy.

36:51Tom:For super earth. Yes, well, I'm still sitting over here playing Call of Duty.

36:55Mitch:I'm trying to get them to download it on steam so we can play.

36:57Tom:I saw Good news. What's that? New hacks that they've been coming across. Oh, call of Duty and Call of Duty or probably in other multiplayer, oh.

37:21Mitch:Tom's over here like mime and scroll grenades. Anyways, tom, go ahead, continue with your war zone news .

37:27Tom:So obviously you mean we all remember the old days of war zone, one where it started out great and then all of a sudden the hackers just Destroyed it. Yeah they're just running amok. So now I mean, ricochets was working pretty good, now we're running the more hackers. So there's a new thing now when , like you report somebody for hacking, so when you report somebody, like the ricochet, ai or whatever goes to them to watch it and capture it, and people are watching this or whatever. Yeah. Now the hack senses when this happens, so when it goes to take snapshots, it deactivates all the hacks.

38:07Mitch:How's that work? I mean science science how hacking okay this is.

38:14Tom:You know how come these people have like little boxes around all the people with health bars and they can see them in truth through everything . Yeah, like you know what are we talking about Okay. So it's like that. So you know the, the system or whatever call of duty, the, the administrators, wherever they go to and watch it. So when they see it happen and like, when it's like, oh, it's hacking, you know it's this person hacking as they do any suspicious It'll deactivate, like when it goes to snapshot their accounts. For, like what they're doing in a game, the hack disables itself.

38:40Mitch:Okay.

38:42Tom:So it doesn't record the hack happening and it's like , oh, he's not hacking, he's just really really good apparently. Oh yeah, that's how their sides , because there's been a lot of dudes recently like even a multiplayer playing with our friend Jason when we were playing, and we're like now like this dude tracked you through the wall.

39:01Mitch:Yeah, we came across something like that that we all had guns and they had their starting pistol and he still killed all of us. Yeah, we come across that the other night when I was playing too.

39:10Tom:Yeah, so the hacks are still a thing. Which I mean the hacking. Ricochet thing like has always been like, you know, there was no hacks, all right. Now there's hacks. Now how do we deal with the hacks? And then it's like, well, riot shields and RPGs and then snipers. So then, you know, we kind of caught up and then ricochet happened and that eliminated a lot. I mean called he was banning like thousands of accounts at a time for a while when they did like the Cold War integration or Vanguard, so it was like getting out of control. And then, like we fought back and then they came back with the resurgence and I was like, alright, when I got ricochet, and now it's just shooting them down left and right.

39:44Tom:These are just getting banned mid game. Streamers are just like banning dudes mid game and doing whatever. And then now this is the their fight to take the lead back which they'd have with this cuz, like what he's supposed to do, like it's deactivating all the hacks when it's trying to capture it from your system. It's like, well, not hacking.

40:04Mitch:Great. What do you both do, hey?

40:09Tom:Cuz there's fun. Me and Brit report the crap out of some dude, cuz they put out a Attachment for the haymaker shotgun which gives you a 60 round drum when you pulled rapid fire, when you pull the trigger , you fire. When you let go, it fires. So if you're fastest, it's just a machine gun. It's a machine gun that with a 60 round shot gun rounds.

40:29Mitch:Yeah, I was doctor. Disrespect. Lose his mind cuz he died to someone with that.

40:33Tom:We're playing it like this thing just happened. We didn't know. Some dude just come up and just annihilate system. We're like was automatic shot, like no, no hacking.

40:43Mitch:He walked. The other disrespect walked into a room with three guys. One of those he's like. Everything went off at once and I couldn't see, I couldn't hear , it just died.

40:51Tom:Yeah, he walked into a room that got nerfed, like like they did the whatever they came out, people started getting it and like that same day, like they were buff, they were nerfing it because they were like, okay, no, we screwed up. Of course you screwed up. You don't give that kind of crap to us. These people are maniacs. And then they brought out DOS house, which was from Vanguard, which is like it's like, it looks like skyscraper. Okay from the New war zone map. But it's like caution office. You know, you got the main long drag, you got one on the right and then you got the left. One has segments, so you can kind of work it and not be like just one long lane to get sniped at. And let me tell you, it is weird on there and I don't like

41:44Tom:the people play weird. And you've played call duty for a while, yeah, you know, when you're playing against people it's like this lobby just doesn't feel right. Like these people are weird, like they're not doing stuff you'd expect other players to be like what you'd be doing. They're running around the sliding the peeking corners. Like these people just maniacs. Like they're hiding for like no reason In like nowhere waiting, and like you just play like me. Yeah, you just find just like knife dudes are running with riot shields just in like the middle and you're just like what are you doing? Like Everybody's shooting you like what were you trying to do? Or it's just like the conga line of people like the camping,

42:19Tom:just people, just camping. A doorway, one doorway, that's it. That's all they did the entire game. And then they brought the soul breaker sword.

42:28Mitch:I saw that yeah they got unlock.

42:30Tom:So you know like you come up behind somebody, you do an assassination, you get locked into that like second and a half or two second animation yeah this, if you attack somebody from behind, it'll do it. If you tax me from the front, it'll do it. It's like a second or like a second and a half. So like you're trying to fight, this dude just comes right and you get locked into an animation Like there's nothing you can do at all. That's ridiculous. Which is like what chance am I supposed to have? Because the entire time I've been playing Doss house, you just got dudes in black noir skins running around with swords . All like me and brit were losing our minds and we're running with shotguns. Like I can one shot people in the face or in the upper chest

43:06Tom:with a close range and like I'd be like I'm pulling the trigger and my guns going like, like my dudes, like the trigger is depressing, the pin has hit the you know the striker, the shell is going through the chain reaction to launch the pellets and it's like boom animation. I'm getting my head chopped off by black noir again and I'm like what, what, what are we doing here? Like what are we doing? Like what is this? So it's been, it's been annoying, but I'm at like 28 guns forged now.

43:39Mitch:I don't, I don't, I don't keep up the whole camo thing.

43:42Tom:I mean, I've been kind of like I I fell off from doing it for a while Because it was just kind of annoying, just because it took so long to level up guns in this game, like I don't know why, like and then you know they had like the huge double xb Weekend, you know like two weeks ago or something. So I started playing with one of my friends. He was doing the camo grind. He's he's got it. He did in two weeks. He got the game. He did it in two weeks. He's already level 450. Okay, in two weeks, zero to 450 interstellar. I know lucky, lucky bum, lucky bum.

44:16Mitch:He's just gonna do what he wants.

44:18Tom:So I like there's a bunch of guns I had gilded anyway. So I was like I went through, I forged out all the ARs that I had. I did the new ones, did all the SMGs, including the new ones, did all the battle rifles, did that into forged to the shotguns . I got one sniper gilded. I did all the LMGs. So now I'm doing the pistols and I'm just like I Hate this, I hate it, I hate it so much.

44:42Mitch:All right, we're moving on to some other news. There's the the fallout TV series is coming to Amazon Prime . It releases on April 11th. Did they do a halo? Yeah, it's on Paramount Plus trailer run new one. It's on season two right now.

44:56Tom:Oh, they're already in it. Yeah, I saw somebody was talking crap about the trailer and he's because everybody's pissed off, because he was like talking like back sass and Cortana.

45:05Mitch:Well, not only does he not wear the helmet, he has not worn the suit, but once this in, like the last four or five, this is the dumbest, worst show . The fact that they've even made to season two is an insult what I find like me and another person were discussing it Like we. I understand why they don't, why they don't use the suit, because they can't afford to do the CGI for the suit.

45:26Tom:That's why then just do like machinima stuff, like that suit looked great, just re-enhancing it in the now graphics.

45:31Mitch:I agree. We also have the X-Men 97. The creator for the show has already been fired. Marvel Studios fired him.

45:42Tom:Marvel fired who?

45:43Mitch:the other creator for the X-Men 97 show that's about to come out they fired him.

45:48Tom:Why it?

45:48Mitch:doesn't. I didn't see why it's the set or the shows set to premiere, which will be this week when the when this comes out, but they've already fired the creator. Bow to Mayo. I don't know.

46:03Tom:I didn't say I thought I just saw the thing that he like got hired.

46:07Mitch:This one, this one, they fired him for, damn those fast. And then also the Batman. Part two has been delayed To a year 2026.

46:14Tom:All right, yeah cool, I'll be like 34.

46:19Mitch:Now we can kind of talk a little bit about some sports news. It's free agency the Giants.

46:25Tom:So say Kwame Barkley is gone, yeah, and I saw the whole like Twitter beef. I guess with him and Tiki Barber, I mean Tiki Barber can suck a dick too. Let me just, this is my Giants friend. I remember Tiki Barber coming to the Giants like we had a premiere back. He fumbled all the damn time until he got it together, like after like the first three seasons. When Coughlin came to the Giants after I think Ray Hanley coached him, because that was when they went to this 2000 Super Bowl, when they went like 12 and 4 or something and they lost to the Ravens because no one was gonna beat the Ravens that year. He's, you know, talking smack. He leaves, he retires from the Giants in 06. Yeah, he's talking crap about Eli Coughlin, the Giants.

47:08Tom:What happens the next season? The Giants go to the Super Bowl and beat the undefeated Patriots, like, add to this point, the crazy team ever assembled in sports and the Giants took them out, yeah, so it's kind of like Screw you, tiki Barber. I gave middle fingers for because you can't see this, we don't visually record this, so you know he can, he can suck it. Now Say Kwan signs with the Eagles. Yeah, I get like that you're dead to us thing, because it's like it's the Philadelphia Eagles.

47:37Mitch:Well, the Giants wouldn't pay him. He went to the team that would pay would you pay an injury?

47:41Tom:prone back that much money, especially that many seasons in his career.

47:45Mitch:He's only 26.

47:47Tom:Yeah, but he's been playing since you. 20 is four seasons of injuries.

47:50Mitch:He's not even injured that much.

47:54Tom:Look, I would rather have him than the person that they did pay, I will take a serviceable back for a third of the money.

48:00Mitch:Devin Singletary is the one that y'all took and y'all paid him 16 million dollars for two years.

48:07Tom:Yeah, and he's not a good versus 30 plus million for five years, but Because we're already paying all the damn money to Daniel Jones, because that was a stupid, whoever gave him that money? I would love to hit them in the face.

48:20Mitch:Yeah, you're paying a bunch of money to a quarterback . That's not good, and now and now you let go the good player on your team, even though you granted yeah, he's been hurt some, but he's better than the running back that you just signed.

48:32Tom:But he's a serviceable back for less money and like less injury. That we know of it. It's like you know what, but running backs are now a diamond. Doesn't look that they're not gonna command that kind of money anymore.

48:44Mitch:Pretty good money.

48:45Tom:And when was the last time there was like a? The last good running back running back that I can think of , that was a dominant back for years, is Adrian Peterson.

48:55Mitch:Oh, yeah, yeah.

48:57Tom:And he was the last 2000 yard rusher and Derek Henry .

49:01Mitch:Derek Henry's been pretty down and Derek Henry and Derek Henry went to the Ravens.

49:05Tom:Did he really?

49:06Mitch:Yeah, oh yeah, he got some by the.

49:08Tom:Ravens, that's gonna be dangerous.

49:10Mitch:Well, because you had Gus Edwards.

49:11Tom:Oh my god, Marsha or Lamar checks gonna have to throw the ball.

49:16Mitch:Well, gus Edwards would? He had a 13 touchdowns last year and Marshall Lynch, it's dominant backs. Oh yeah, recent times but yeah, gus Edwards, for the Ravens, had 13 touchdowns and he's not even that good. And now you have Derek Henry.

49:33Tom:Who breaks the first three tackles?

49:35Mitch:granted, he's well. I think he's 29, going on 30. He's a little older, he's the end, but they have several running backs so he doesn't have to be that every down back.

49:44Tom:He's gonna be like Brandon Jacobs to the Giants. Yeah, where I mean the Giants had a great backfield. You had Brandon Jacobs, mod Bradshaw and Derek Ward, yet earth, wind and fire. But yeah, he's gonna be a short yardage goal lineback.

49:59Mitch:Well, you also have Josh Jacobs, the running back from Oakland. He went to the Packers so, and then they, because they got him, they let Aaron Jones go, who signed with the Vikings.

50:10Tom:Oh Division rifles so .

50:12Mitch:And then Joe Mixon. He got traded to the Texans From the. He was the running back for Cincinnati.

50:18Tom:Giants signed a couple offensive lines, some defensive guys. They signed that guy from Carolina.

50:23Mitch:Well, these are all running backs for that right now that I have on this list. But Austin Eckler from the Chargers, he's gone to the commanders.

50:29Tom:So his career is over .

50:31Mitch:Yeah, yeah, pretty much the under swift from the Eagles, he went to the Bears.

50:37Tom:The Bears huh.

50:37Mitch:Yeah, Tony Pollard from the Cowboys went to the Titans. Mm-hmm. Devon, single Terry went to the Giants. Gus Edwards that Derek Henry replaced. He went to the Chargers, zack Moss, which he was he kind of took, he was like the secondary back in Indianapolis. He went to the Bengals, mm-hmm. And then Antonio Gibson from the commanders went to the Patriots.

51:03Tom:And I heard the Patriots Cut loose Mac Jones. Yeah he got traded to Jacksonville.

51:07Mitch:Yeah, which they have . They have a good quarterback. I don't know why they trade like they traded for a quarter, but yeah, they traded him to there and the Patriots signed Jacobi Berset to a one year deal . Jacobi.

51:18Tom:Berset, he's still in the league, yep.

51:20Mitch:Yep Gartner Menchew went to the Oakland Raiders. Here's the quarterback.

51:24Tom:You know what I like that. Because, Gartner Menchew is a raider. He's got the attitude, he's got the mustache. That dude like if this was the 70s, that that dude is a raider Like him and Kenny Stabler are going to stand there and just like look smug and then just like go nail all the cheerleaders from the opposing team after the game.

51:41Mitch:The Falcons signed Kirk Cousins. I saw that so now he's throwing to you know Drake London, kyle Pitts and Sean Robinson. So I'm happy about that.

51:48Tom:You know what? That's? A good move by the Falcons.

51:50Mitch:They did pay him a lot of money, though, and he's a 35 year old quarterback.

51:54Tom:But he is a dependable.

51:56Mitch:Right. I agree If they can protect him .

51:58Tom:Yeah, if they can protect him, he's. That's a dependable. He's been in the playoffs, he's been around.

52:03Mitch:And you know he knows how to support a good, wide receiver one.

52:06Tom:Yeah, he's a serviceable quarterback to put in there and I bet the Steelers signed.

52:12Mitch:Russell Wilson.

52:14Tom:They also because I know he went and he had interviewed with the Giants.

52:17Mitch:Well, they signed Russell Wilson, and then they just traded Deontay Johnson, their wide receiver, to the Carolina Panthers.

52:23Tom:Who's the hell is he throwing? But I mean the pit.

52:26Mitch:The Steelers have had a losing season under Tomlin, they pretty much state state even or above.

52:31Tom:Like they're. They're going to be a winning season and they're most likely yeah, I think they've they're going to go to the playoffs. There's a very solid chance the Steelers are going to play in the playoffs. Are they going to? They're going to be in the hunt late in the season at least.

52:44Mitch:But the Falcons also signed Darnell Mooney, which is a wide receiver from the Bears. Tampa Bay pretty much stayed where they are. They re-signed everybody that they had. There was, like they re-signed Mike Evans, baker Mayfield and Chase Edmunds, which was their back.

52:59Tom:They went to the playoffs, didn't they? Yeah, that's I mean, they're probably just going to try to build it through the draft. Yeah, which is what I think a lot of teams and that's something that a lot of teams lose these days is building through the draft.

53:12Mitch:Yeah, that's what Justin Fields. He's still with the Bears technically at the moment, but they're looking.

53:17Tom:I think they're doing them dirty.

53:18Mitch:Well, they're looking to buy to have the first pick anyways, and they want that Caleb. But was it Caleb Williams?

53:24Tom:I think yeah, and that dude seems kind of out there.

53:27Mitch:And.

53:27Tom:I'm like you're playing at USC.

53:29Mitch:I honestly feel like they want to draft him, but he's like pretty much the same players as Justin Fields. It's the same kind of play style, Like I don't know what their plan is here.

53:38Tom:Like, if I'm looking for a quarterback, like I need a mature person but I need a pocket passer and I need the cannon.

53:45Mitch:Yeah, but then you know, I just want to talk a little bit about football, because it's big news right now.

53:49Tom:I love talking about football.

53:50Mitch:It's only like the second day of free agency, so a lot of stuff's happened really quick.

53:55Tom:Like if I had the ability to you know they're like you could pick anybody, whoever played. Like who's your quarterback? I'm like, give me Joe Namath with today's sports medicine so his knees aren't messed up and he can move. It's like nobody else. I mean all the flight. I'm like a football historian. You watch great quarterbacks. You watch Brady, you watch Montana, steve Young, damarino, bradshaw, la you name them Mannings, both Stay. You know any great quarterbacks ? You watch Namath's dropback. Like snap the dropback, the form, the motion, the throw, everything looks like art. It looks beautiful to watch. Like even Bill Walsh, you know, legendary head coach of the 49ers, built the 49ers dynasty.

54:39Tom:Yeah, said. Like that guy had the greatest throwing mechanic arm release, delivery, the speed, it was all. It always looked beautiful and it looked effortless and he's the only person I've ever heard of whose wide receivers had bruises from getting hit with the ball. That's how hard he threw. And you even watch, like you know, they show like the old clips and it looks like they're playing in slow motion Because they have to do with the footage . But like him, like you see, like that ball, like once his hand comes up, the ball is like in his hand and then it's at the 20. It's 20 yards past them, like it's like gone and they're like you could hear it, like you could hear him throw and you knew when the ball left his hand , because you hear the as that

55:22Tom:ball went. It's fly down the field and he's just laser induced down the side, does he don't see a lot of that?

55:33Mitch:these days. No, I'm excited there's the Agatha Marvel TV show. Have you seen that? You know what that is, agatha she's like the witch.

55:43Tom:Oh, yeah, yeah yeah, from Wanda vision.

55:47Mitch:Yeah, supposedly that's like the main title for that. Jean Carlos Carlos Esposito still wants to play Professor X. He's been kind of pushing for that. No, I don't see if there's any other news before you end here.

56:04Tom:It just sounds like more diversity casting. Cancel.

56:10Mitch:Yeah, there's just more more stuff about the creator fired one week before the show's premiere for X-Men 97 . They probably think the show's going to suck.

56:16Tom:It's like we fired him already. There's nothing you can do. We already got rid of him. Fire Kathleen Kennedy, make it they make a game. Put chicken in there, oh did you see the Oscars.

56:29Mitch:Did you see John Cena ? No, you can't see John Cena. There was it.

56:33Tom:I think they said 20 years ago there was a streaker at the Oscars.

56:38Mitch:Well, I think they said 20 years ago there was a streaker at the Oscars.

56:44Tom:He presented a word buck naked, he'd come out with a sign over himself.

56:48Mitch:I mean, granted, he's wearing like this little diaper looking thing, but when he came out on stage, you couldn't see it. He was just holding the sign and everybody's like that's John Cena and he's naked.

56:59Tom:He is amazing.

57:02Mitch:He's naked as a J-Bird Also the Rock has come back to wrestling His movie deals pant and didn't fizzle out now.

57:08Tom:Well, his cousin is Roman Reigns, which is the world champion, the universal champion he's come back to fight him.

57:13Mitch:Well, he came back and they were supposed to fight and then they kind of changed it to wear now Cody Rhodes, which is Dusty Rhodes' son, is going to fight Roman Reigns. Well, the Rock joined Roman Reigns because they're part of the same family and Cody Rhodes insulted their family. So they're going to have a tag team match between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins versus the Rock and Roman Reigns and they're going to have a tag team match between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins versus the Rock and Roman Reigns. Whoever wins that, if Cody wins , there's no interference in the world title match. If Roman Reigns and the Rock win , anything goes in the title match. Sheesh, that was pretty neat. The WrestleMania is on April 6th and 7th.

57:51Tom:I know you got those days off.

57:53Mitch:I'm off those days anyway, I'm just like mess it in . My brother's going to come watch. We're going to watch my granddad.

58:01Tom:That sounds nice man.

58:03Mitch:That's all I got for this episode.

58:05Tom:That's all I got for this episode. Thanks for sticking around. If you made it this far.

58:09Mitch:We've dealt into some different news than what we normally do, if you want us to do a football show.

58:13Tom:let us know. I'm Tom, I'm Mitch. We'll catch you next time.
