0:04Hayden:His name is Robert Paulson Say it. His name is Robert Paulson. Say it Hello. Welcome to Entertainmentz, a podcast about movies, tv shows and video games. My name is Hayden, and with me is Hayden and with me I have. Tom and the Metshoot apparently has never watched Fight Club in his life.

0:49Mitch:I don't remember Robert Paulson, but I've seen the movie.

0:53Hayden:It's me, love, me, love died.

0:54Mitch:Oh this big guy.

0:55Tom:Yeah, okay, he goes to die.

0:58Hayden:There you go. Yeah, may he rest in peace. Rip Robert Paulson. This is episode 92. Are we at? No, it's 90, I think Very good 90.

1:09Mitch:Yeah, this is like 92 or 91.

1:12Hayden:I think 92.

1:13Tom:Look at us.

1:14Hayden:Almost in this, the three digits 92.

1:19Mitch:We're allowed to get a little dimension now and understand which number we're at .

1:22Tom:We'll last longer than 30. Oh okay.

1:27Hayden:Well, let's go ahead and do social media Mitch.

1:31Mitch:Well, you can go to entertain this podcastcom, which will take you to our entertain, this group and page on Facebook . You can go to Twitter, which is at this dot entertain. You go to patreon, patreoncom. Entertain, underscore this. And then we also have tick tock YouTube, and this is one of the things, but both of them are entertain, this exclamation point. Oh yeah, twitch, that's right.

1:55Tom:So it's Patreon only fans. Well done.

1:58Hayden:Well done. Moving on into Okay, I'll just go ahead and I didn't do my punishment.

2:06Mitch:Oh well, see, we don't have to do trivia now, because he's gonna get punished.

2:11Tom:That's going to try and carry on Pretend like it. Like a, you could have made up something about this movie. It was just like it was a Jason or no Steve Segal.

2:19Hayden:I don't remember who got punished until you said something. Yeah, I honestly was like crap. I was supposed to do a punishment. Like as soon as they hit the record button, you've been out of work for baby leave and all sorts of stuff. So I, yeah, totally forgot to do it.

2:35Tom:This is the first time this has happened.

2:36Hayden:Yeah 90.

2:37Tom:You have forgotten to do a punishment.

2:39Hayden:I place my neck upon the chopping block. You guys can decide by the end of the episode. No, put that hot sauce away. But you guys can decide what my course of action.

2:52Tom:Is You're still going to watch it?

2:53Hayden:Yeah, I'm going to watch it and probably have to do a follow up or whatever.

2:55Mitch:But an eight page paper.

2:59Tom:Might be.

2:59Hayden:You have to write a theme, it's been a little crazy this week, not gonna lie, but so that's Hayden's lack of punishment.

3:10Tom:Review.

3:10Hayden:Yep, there you go. So did you guys watch Mandalorian?

3:14Mitch:Yes what you basically was Mandalorian, yes, so it was, it was okay. I did like kind of seeing where he was now considering. It's been a while since season three was not coming out yet.

3:25Hayden:Yeah it was a nice little add in, you know. So it honestly is a lot more entertaining than rest of the stupid. But I'm not a big fan, no, so that's just me. Yeah, yeah, I guess I'm too Movies. Been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor. Welcome to the party, pal yeah.

3:47Tom:Who had movies? I did.

3:49Hayden:What did you watch?

3:51Tom:I watched Munich, the Edge of War. This is the number two movie on Netflix right now. Okay so I actually watched something current.

3:59Hayden:Look at you, Tom.

3:59Tom:I know. So this is a 21 2021 German British drama film directed by a man whose name I can't pronounce, christian shawaka shawaka, based on a novel from 2017, but it stars Jeremy Irons. George McKay, who played the dude from 1917. One of the two, the one who makes it all the way through the movie.

4:26Hayden:Yeah, that guy that guy.

4:27Tom:So it's a fictional plot about the Munich agreement in 1938 between the Germans, the British and the French, before the Germans invade Czechoslovakia. It's all right, okay, so is it?

4:44Hayden:is it English or half English, half, whatever? It's in both, okay so the German stuff.

4:49Tom:They're talking in German with subtitles, which is nice.

4:52Hayden:Yeah.

4:52Tom:And then the English stuff. They're speaking in English without subtitles, which is to be expected to be fair. Yeah, so it's predominantly takes place from the point of view of two people. You have the George McKay guy. Then you got like his German friend who they knew each other back in the 30s. He was German, like they met at Oxford and he was like Hitler, yeah, germany winning, etc. And then the guys like he's crazy and guys like no get away and they have a big falling out, Don't like each other anymore. So the British guy he ends up working as like an assistant to Neville Chamberlain, who's the prime minister of England at the time, and they're like going through like all this stuff, like you know, pre war buildup and like nobody really wants to

5:27Tom:war and everybody's freaking out and he's, like you know, high strung about it. And they end up having like this meeting where they go to Germany to meet Hitler oh, wow, To for the agreement and he goes and sees his buddy who is like foreign office aid to Hitler. Like you know, he gives them like newspapers and like everything's transcribed into German. So he knows what's going on and Hitler is a douche.

5:54Hayden:That makes sense, do you think? Yeah, but he's not a nice person.

5:58Tom:He's just like a weird staring, like heavy eye contact dude, the guy who plays. Did you see downfall the bunker one, the bunker clip or whatever, where Hitler freaks out and he's like slam the table .

6:11Hayden:Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

6:12Tom:The dude who plays gobbles is the guy that plays Hitler in this.

6:16Hayden:What so? He looks really weird. The dude just has like typecast as a Nazi. Is that how you want to live your life?

6:21Tom:Yeah, it's like, it's like I've played Hitler and I was like yeah, we know Many, many German actors have played Hitler.

6:27Hayden:Yeah, that sucks Well , anyways, go ahead.

6:30Tom:So they meet and they have like this sort of like early war espionage kind of thing going on and a lot of it's . They did a good job. It wasn't like that like crazy espionage stuff that you would think Like project Valkyrie or whatever. Yeah, and there's no like messages hidden inside chess pieces at a park bench or like you know secret stuff. They're basically making this crap up on the fly. This monocle self-destruct in five seconds, yeah, because like MI6 calls in the British guy and they're like, hey, we need to do this, and he's like I don't know. It's like yeah, you be fine, and they just kick him out. They're like go, go do spy stuff. And he's like I don't know what to do and they're like you'll

7:04Tom:figure it out. Go, good luck, kid. But they go through, like you know meeting and like you know secret documents and like this whole plot that like trying to tell Neville Chamberlain don't sign it because it was just going to invade anyway, like he's literally just he's lying to everybody and Neville Chamberlain was like no, I'm not going to believe that. We have to give peace of chance . So, jeremy, I mean, he does a good job playing the role. I don't know if they aged up Jeremy Irons, but if they didn't , he's looking rough.

7:33Hayden:I mean he's, he's been old since die hard yeah, so you know he's got to be up there. He's got to be in his mid sixties.

7:44Tom:So I feel like that. Hope they all do a good job with that pompous British aristocracy lifestyle like you know, lords and sirs and everybody's just kind of stuffy and British. It is pretty funny. And then the Germans like they actually, like you know, they're in Munich and a lot of video games freak out like 73. Yeah, with, like you know, having swastikas and stuff. This movie is like you're in Germany. This is what it was like there.

8:10Hayden:it is Wow so Was a lot of dudes in rooms talking, or was there explosions and shots and gunshots?

8:17Tom:No, um, nobody gets shot, there's no explosions. A lot of it is just good suspense, yeah, where it's like you think they're about to get caught. You know you got like people working against them, yeah, like Germans, like you know, getting suspicious about stuff. I mean they do. It's not like a Michael Bay spy thriller, like Mission Impossible.

8:37Mitch:Drops a pin and a desk explode.

8:38Tom:Yeah, or, like you know, fake noses and mustaches and masks. It's very much predicated on, you know, suspense that was based on like the time. I mean, it's a fictional story, right, but they still do a good job with like, making it almost seem like it's an accurate event.

8:54Hayden:There was a movie called conspiracy that's basically about the Nazi party just deciding over a dinner and it's all in real time. It's like Maybe two and a half hours and they're just sitting for this giant meal. Mm-hmm, it's got Stanley Tucci and Kenneth. Right now right now and they thought they basically discussed , like how to kill off all the Jews, what's it called, with the final solution spot yeah, the final solution. They just plan it out and they just talk like business, about how to kill millions of people and like, like that, there's no gunshots and stuff like that. That's a. That's a really creepy movie, you know that's how it was decided. Yeah, so.

9:32Tom:It's a good paced movie. Yeah, it does keep going like it was like a two-hour movie. No man's movies like two hours. Next thing I know I'm like in like the last 30 minutes.

9:39Hayden:I'm like, how'd I get ?

9:40Tom:here, yeah, so it was good it was. It was a good watching movie.

9:44Hayden:Yeah, cool.

9:45Tom:If you're into the World War two stuff, I mean I'd recommend it.

9:48Hayden:I'd give it a seven out of ten for Netflix to just put out movies that nobody ever knew were coming, or you know they just pop on your feed and you're like whatever, I'll try it. You know I like those little Unforeseen gyms that come out of nowhere, so that's why I keep Netflix.

10:05Tom:That's why I keep Netflix, and so I can pan a quattro movie the night before a podcast. Yeah, because someone well, I'm sorry. You should be. I should you should be very sorry. Okay, so this actually came out January 21st of this year on Netflix. Okay, so this is very, very recent. Watch it. Watch it now. What's your news? Jason Mimoa has joined family.

10:34Hayden:Oh no of course he would be in Fast and Furious. He's dumb enough for that role.

10:39Tom:He's joined the Fast and Furious franchise.

10:42Mitch:I don't know what he's gonna be doing, brah but he's a brah Brunt's up when I'll be beats up. Vin Diesel a.

10:49Tom:Lot of people want. A lot of people want.

10:54Hayden:Have you seen like the the stupid Twitter Backs and forth between Vin Diesel and the rock? I'm pretty sure, if it came down to it, the rock would beat the crap out of you, yeah, but still it's hilarious because he's basically begging him to come back for the final Fast and Furious and the rock is like yeah. But I mean he's like on the rock I do what I want, kind of, but bread notice sucked yeah. So like there's not, I Don't know what's the last good movie rocks been in.

11:22Mitch:The. Tooth Fairy black, yeah, and it probably won't be good.

11:26Hayden:Oh, I'm pretty sure it will be you pretty sure, pretty sure.

11:30Tom:I didn't see a funny that. I read that article and like there's like a Swallow scrum through Facebook and I went and found it online but there was like a tech talk, whatever this dude working out at a gym and the rock was there. Oh, yeah, and the guy's like has, like the way, it's like all the way. The bottom Is that rock just got off of it. And he puts it at Ted, like this leg press machine in the rock walks by and he's like what's up man? The guy's like, hey, what's up rock? He's like you got all the way. And he's like, yeah, dude, got to get them games rocks like yeah, dude, he just like walks, or rock just goes F yeah. And I was like oh, like, oh, my god, I'd be scared if I was at a gym and he was every like I leave, just snap your legs.

12:05Hayden:Yeah, I'm sure he's a cool guy in real life, but you know he's kind of you can do a certain role, like if you've seen the picture where he's in four different jungle movies Just some bald dude with like a gray shirt.

12:23Tom:Yeah he seems like a cool person?

12:25Mitch:sure, yeah, and then TV show to that he has called young rock, where it looks at his childhood, his years in high school and then his years in college, because his dad was a professional wrestler before him . That's like how he grew up and stuff. It's funny.

12:40Hayden:I saw a picture of him when he was like 11 and watching his dad and he's in the audience and it looks like a full-grown rock with it like an afro wig on. I'm like that's just the rock. Yeah, that's not a kid, it's just this giant man.

12:55Tom:It's like. It's like he's just the rock. He's always been the rock, he was born the rock. My other bit of news.

13:03Hayden:Super Mario Bros.

13:05Tom:Script is top secret, according to the man who voices Luigi.

13:10Hayden:Who voices Luigi?

13:12Tom:I have no idea you do . Chris prep, no, no that's.

13:17Mitch:Mario.

13:18Hayden:We put the names out there at some point. Charlie day yes, so they put Luigi.

13:22Tom:Yes, I don't know why , but apparently they're like they're really trying to keep this script a secret, like they're going through like extreme lengths. We're like they're only given like bits at a time because of the MCU.

13:35Hayden:That's why, yeah, they're like 60 Mario games.

13:39Mitch:I'm sure it's gonna follow one of them.

13:40Tom:Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna involve Mario Luigi, probably Princess Peach and, I'm guessing, bowser.

13:46Hayden:Yeah, played by Seth Rogen, but uh. The no, as Jack Wack does, seth Rogen, just Donkey Kong, yeah, yeah, but like the, the plots for the Mario games they're in. There's none, it's, it's just say, princess, yeah, it's that and they throw in some sauce here and there, but other than that it's mostly just the mundane like Super Mario 64.

14:11Tom:It was you. Wake up. Princess has been captured. Go through all these stupid levels to find her. Get her back.

14:18Hayden:That's it. Nobody plays Mario for the story. It's all about the gameplay. You know, so, like I, if you were to take You're taking a Tendo IP I Would know I put Mario on top. I would have thought like maybe Zelda or or Metroid. I think Metroid would have been great to have a show made out of, but I mean even Star Fox. Yeah, Star Fox be cool. That'd be a great TV show for kids. Actually, you know, kind of like a Swat cat street.

14:45Tom:I don't know people die in Star Fox.

14:47Hayden:Yeah, all right. Well, anyways, I had TV. Winter is coming, that's what she said.

15:00Tom:Did you actually watch a show?

15:01Hayden:I did, I watched a show. I watched a show in HBO the horrible body odor television and it was called station 11. Mitch watched a little bit of this with me and I can tell you right now he doesn't like it.

15:15Mitch:It's just kind of there's interesting parts, but it's kind of black.

15:18Hayden:That's the official Mitch review. Um it's yeah this is based off of a book. It's a mini series, so it's a one-off. It's an episodes. So that's my first high point about it is they're not trying to milk it for 15 or I don't know what is walking dead at now season 205. Okay, so, or 15 seasons of supernatural.

15:40Mitch:You're enjoying it.

15:42Hayden:We'll get the supernatural rant here in a minute, but I have some, some bones to pick, but anyways. So it's based off of a book by Emily st John Mandel. That's a big name, that is a. You know, the more Letters in your name, the better of a author you are, like J R R Tolkien or George R R Martin.

16:01Tom:You know so.

16:02Hayden:I guess you need ours , I don't know. But anyways, it's about a flu outbreak that. Kills off the planet, and and she had, don't? Yeah, I was like wow, this is a very on point, but I mean they plan this movie back in 2000 or the series back in 2018. So maybe they knew something we didn't know, but they and it was supposed to originally be a movie and then they went ahead and do it, did a mini series, which I think was a smart move. And I read the cliff notes of the book and the changes that they made for the show. I mean I haven't read the book but I think that the show is probably better, you know, just because the book was. I mean the book was definitely a lot more concise and like the character decisions that they have would go Understandably for

16:47Hayden:a book narrative, but for a TV show, you know you want to keep these actors kind of in every episode and whatnot, so but anyways, this it's so. It's like a dystopic, you know, split narrative between people who are Going through the, the flu outbreak and the beginning of the apocalypse, and then, 20 years later, when the survivors are older, and how they Survive around the Great Lakes you, they , there's a traveling, they call themselves a traveling symphony , and In the future, and they travel around the Great Lakes every two years and they stop by small towns and do Shakespeare and and because that's what you need in the post-apocalyptic setting.

17:30Tom:I know Shakespeare.

17:31Hayden:So I don't know everything sucks.

17:33Tom:You know what I really need.

17:34Hayden:Hamlet, yeah, I guess whatever you could use to distract yourself. But there's a it's. The show starts out with a like Broadway's play of Shakespeare I don't know what a big play of Shakespeare in New York and the guy's playing King Lear like dies on stage and he's the first death of the the Flu, you know so and then. But his death sparks like a bunch of characters that kind of interact with each other over the next 20 years. And there's his book called station 11. That one of that, that guy who died on stage, is one of his wives, because he had Three wives that he divorced and married at certain points, maybe his two wives, I don't know. That he had in one of his wives , made this book called station

18:23Hayden:11, gave him a copy, he gave one to I won't spoil it, but important people and how that book kind of Wraps the narrative for certain characters. You know you don't really understand what the books about, but they you get like it's because it's a comic book. So you see Kind of what's going on in that book, to the idea of why it would warp a person's mind if they're obsessing over it for 20 years. So and what that means for these characters and why they become kind of crazy. But you know, so it's. It's interesting. You know, kind of like it's a weird movie to equate it to, but crash where they have all these non-existing, connected characters that end up connected to each other towards in the show, despite.

19:12Hayden:You know the causality of, you know, the end of the world so and you know the traveling Shakespeare stuff. I'm not a huge Shakespeare fan, but you know what people choose to preserve, despite the apocalypse. It's, it's something to take into consideration and you know how much people are willing to put themselves on the line For each other and what they love and what they hold value, valuable, you know. So I Thought was good. I give it 7.5. I didn't think it tried to be any more important than it needed to be. I Thought that the budget is perfect for what it was did. They didn't need any crazy CG or giant explosions or anything Stupid, you know. Or you know, obviously, like walking dead, I feel like

19:59Hayden:sometimes crafts the bed and there's special effects and stuff. So this is just right on point with it and it was. But it was a lot of talking, it was a lot of people doing Shakespeare, a lot of a lot of people walking around, you know.

20:11Tom:I'll say it complain about Shakespeare's overrated.

20:16Hayden:It's not my favorite classical literature either, but you know I'm not a huge play prose kind of person.

20:22Tom:Would you call us a step down in HBO's no?

20:26Hayden:No mini series? I don't think so. I think well, it compared to Chernobyl and stuff like that, I mean, or band of brothers, the Pacific. See, this is fiction, so it's kind of hard to equate it to like this could be as stupid as it wants to be, because it's not real. It doesn't have anything besides the book to really, you know, hold itself proper to. So, yeah, I thought it was fine for what it was and if you're into Just a interesting story that lasts longer than a feature film, this is for you, check it out. Yeah, it stars Mackenzie Davis. She was in Blade Runner 2049 and she's in a black mirror episode stuff like that the main .

21:07Tom:Like girl.

21:08Hayden:Yeah like mirrors still on no, I don't know if it's coming back or not.

21:12Mitch:I hope it does, but she on one of the more recent terminators to yep. Yeah, she was in Terminator.

21:16Hayden:Yeah, himmish Patel. The only thing I can think of him from is that don't look up movie, which was yeah, you know we haven't reviewed that.

21:26Tom:I kind of hit our weird spot where is it a movie predicate on people at a park and some Canadian geese fly over ?

21:32Mitch:you haven't seen this movie. It's pretty funny.

21:33Hayden:Ah, the world is split on this movie. Everybody either loves it or hates it.

21:38Mitch:Okay, I actually love it. This is cause.

21:40Hayden:Don't look up my wife hates this movie.

21:42Mitch:I like this funny yeah it's Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jonah Hill. Meryl Streep Was a douche in it , so he does well, jennifer Lawrence, yeah. Jaylaw.

21:54Hayden:That was a good movie , but anyways Laurie Petty's in it. Yeah, legally their own tank girl.

22:02Mitch:Oh, in the oven now.

22:03Hayden:Yeah, so it was strange to see her. Not in her strange role, Well she plays kind of a quirky because she's like the yeah for this, the show Station 11. She plays the traveling symphony like orchestrator director lady and so she's weird to be in she.

22:21Mitch:I mean fit, yeah, but I mean coat bottle glasses.

22:24Hayden:That's kind of how she is. I in all of her roles. So good for her. So yeah, it was it was okay. It was okay. It wasn't over the top for HBO Not a lot of boobs and stupid amounts of like gore or anything stupid like that so I Enjoy it. So there you go 7.5. Let's talk about my news, which is the Halo TV show. They're calling it the silver timeline, yeah, I saw. So essentially, the way that I understand it's gonna work is Franco Conner, which is the Lord director of Halo. The franchise director has gone with Halo Waypoint, which is like the Social media platform for Halo.

23:09Mitch:Yeah, it's just. It just something that connects on, you know, when it comes to news and stuff like that for right.

23:14Hayden:So he said that that this show is going to be Along the same line as the games, but there will be divergences that will borrow, like the games will borrow from in the future, and the show will borrow from the games.

23:32Tom:So it's kind of like a.

23:32Hayden:Kelvin timeline kind of. I don't know if it's gonna go that drastic. I know that they they're calling it the silver timeline because Instead of blue, master Chief being on blue team is gonna be on silver team and that's kind of that. First divergence From the games and it's a silver screen Adaptation of the games. So you know.

23:53Mitch:I figure it's gonna be like anything else, it's gonna borrow what can, what they can make work for TV and not, you know.

23:58Hayden:Yep, according to Frank O'Connor it's a. It's a similar Silver timeline that's similar to the games, but separate from the core Halo canon. So take that as you will, just, I'll still watch it.

24:13Mitch:You said you were talking about the Mandalorian earlier. Did you see the Halo ring and Mandalorian?

24:17Hayden:Yeah, I was like what a blatant ripoff. Yeah.

24:23Mitch:Technically. Yeah, it's just like all like. It's not like a earth like thing, but it's just all one big like ship kind of thing today is when we recording.

24:32Hayden:This is Saturday, january 29th, but tomorrow the 30th for some sporting event, some basketball game, I think. What's going on tomorrow? Oh, is it football?

24:44Mitch:Yeah all right, something's happening tomorrow.

24:45Hayden:Something big to do is happening and they're going to do the first real big trailer for the halo. So by the time you hear this episode, you should be able to look up the big trailer for the Halo TV show.

24:58Tom:Hey wondering what sports are happening.

25:00Hayden:AFC championship.

25:01Mitch:That's tonight, yeah or no? That's tomorrow. So NFC championships tonight.

25:05Hayden:Yeah, okay. So I think it's interesting they really prided themselves on the sets and how much money they put into all the props like they built, like to scale pelicans and Like do you think this trailer is going to be, like you know, 30 seconds and, like you know, you just see the chief? I think they're gonna go way to depth. I think they're gonna.

25:25Mitch:Yeah, they've already done like a small trailer.

25:28Tom:Yeah, you just see him so because I would hate waiting like all this time and it's just like that's the chief and it's a quick what?

25:34Hayden:Yeah.

25:35Mitch:It's an all-black screen. You see him raise a gun. I need a weapon.

25:40Tom:Permission to leave the station. Why to give the covenant back there? Bob, For a brick. He flew pretty good.

25:54Hayden:That's the best part about Halo Infinite is the loading screens is just all the stupid lines they've said throughout Halo history. But yeah, so I'm excited about it. It looks like they're doing a really good job with the show and Paramount is throwing a lot of money and Steven Spielberg is obviously involved, so you know they're gonna probably do poll all the strings. So all right, there you go. Tv video games, mitch games guys. Oh, it's me Mario.

26:22Mitch:Bravo, 6. Going dark. Well, I was playing Middle Earth Middle Earth Shadow of War , and then I decided now I'm playing Pokemon Legends Arceus. Is it Arceus or Arceus?

26:35Hayden:Something like that Arceus I don't know.

26:37Mitch:It's a new Pokemon that I don't know how to pronounce.

26:38Hayden:My kids like it a lot .

26:39Mitch:Did, I played it.

26:40Hayden:Dude, they woke me up yesterday. They were like Dad, can we get the game? It's out. And I was like what game?

26:46Tom:What game it's out.

26:47Hayden:The Pokemon game and I was like, oh yeah, that. Thing.

26:51Mitch:In short, the story could be you know, you don't even need it.

26:55Tom:What Pokemon game actually has a real story?

26:56Mitch:Well, the gameplay is fun. It's fun because you can go around and you can catch Pokemon and you can hide in the grass and sneak up on them. You have a better chance of catching them If you sneak up on them and throw the Pokeball and hit them in the back. You have a higher chance of catching them If you send your Pokemon to fight them. If you hit them while they're not paying attention, you get to go. You're guaranteed the first attack.

27:19Hayden:So it's not turn-based action, it is, oh OK.

27:24Mitch:When they're fighting it's turn-based. There is an interesting thing, though as they're fighting, your guy can still move around. So if you get too close and they attack, you still get hit, because your guy actually has health too.

27:38Hayden:What happens if you die?

27:40Tom:You get eaten by the Pokemon that killed you.

27:43Mitch:Whatever items you're holding currently, you lose some of them and it sends you back to the thing. So you can go back and try to reclaim them, but you've got to go all the way back to the base and work your way back there Interesting? And then you can also have all your Pokemon faint and still run around trying to catch stuff. You just have no way to defend yourself if they attack.

27:59Hayden:So how many Pokemon can you have on your person?

28:02Mitch:Six Six.

28:04Hayden:What Pokemon are, because there's so many generations of them. Lots of them have you seen any of the original OG Pokemon.

28:12Mitch:Yeah, I've actually got Pikachu. Right now I found one of those. I've got Pikachu. I've got Gyarados Scyther. Well, I evolved it into some new form that I've never seen until this game oh, the red one. No, this is a Cleaver. It's like a goldish-looking color. Oh, that's cool.

28:25Hayden:It's got it's got swords Cleavage, cleavage.

28:29Mitch:It's just swords. It has axes on its hands, cleavage, activate motorboat. There's one that you're like, oh gosh.

28:43Hayden:Anyways continue.

28:45Mitch:But so far I've made it to three different lands and they all have different Pokemon that show up. They have, like, the rains, you have rainstorms, thunderstorms, you have day night.

28:57Hayden:It's a dynamic weather and stuff like that you can catch different stuff at different times. Is it a walking simulator or do you feel like you're actually like constantly doing stuff when you're out and moving around?

29:07Mitch:For the most part, I feel like I'm constantly doing stuff because you can get. Once you've gotten to a certain point, you get a Pokemon that you can. It's like a big deer looking thing that you can ride, so it's faster to get. Oh, that's cool. If you need to go somewhere, it's a steed? Yeah, pretty much you don't have the bike or it's like you can't use that in here, no, but when you get like the deer thing , he can jump, so you can get to the areas that you couldn't access before, because you can jump higher while you're riding them and stuff. There's other things that you can make Pokeballs that are called feather balls, where you can throw them farther. The way I caught a Gyarados is because it was flying in the

29:41Mitch:distance and with one of these balls I just reared back and through it and somehow caught it .

29:45Hayden:Gyarados can fly.

29:47Mitch:No, it does in this game.

29:48Tom:I like Gyarados, whatever.

29:50Hayden:That was a surf Pokemon.

29:52Tom:I liked the last one. The only last one I played was Pokemon. Let's go Pikachu. Oh yeah.

29:56Hayden:I have let's Go Eevee and I never played it.

29:58Mitch:I've got that one too .

29:59Tom:Pes had that and his daughter wanted to fight me. Did you beat her?

30:05Mitch:I only used one Pokemon. But, like in this game, as you're traveling along you'll find Pokemon and stuff and then you'll come across like ones that basically they're bigger and they're pissed off because they have red eyes. So they're like level 40 when you're level 10. So you got to maneuver away from them.

30:21Tom:They have skulls over their heads. You have to give them like an appeasement Pretty much.

30:26Mitch:You can catch them later on, but they're, like, really tough to beat and they'll just kind of be sprinkled throughout, do they?

30:32Hayden:have like shiny Pokemon and alohaqbar Pokemon, aloha Aloha Pokemon. They do have those, but I haven't seen them be shiny ones.

30:42Mitch:But like there's a different I don't know what you call it it had a name for it in the game but basically there's like boss fights that you have to do, where you're fighting a Pokemon, and it'll give you infinite number of these like basically like appeasement things where you throw it and it calms it down because it's like in this rage mode, just throw in your CDs. Well, it's like it's attacking you and you got to calm it down enough to where you can send your Pokemon to attack it. Right, and if you attack it, it'll like lower its health or whatever, but then it'll, you know, burst out of whatever days it's in and then it'll start chasing you. You have to like dodge as it attacks and then you have to

31:15Mitch:make it run into a tree when you dodge out of the way the Pokemon go after you in this game.

31:20Hayden:Yeah, this game the.

31:21Tom:Pokemon are going to catch you A quick summary of the story behind it.

31:26Mitch:You fall through this portal in time. You like in the ancient world of Pokemon, where they're learning what Pokemon are still. So you're making the Pokedex, you work for the Galaxy team and you have the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan. That are like arguing with each other and you're trying to help both come to appeasement and help build the Pokedex.

31:47Hayden:Does that have anything to do with Pokemon, diamond and Pearl? I don't know.

31:49Mitch:I've never played this. I'm assuming it does.

31:51Hayden:but Well it sounds cool, it sounds like a true, like modern or, you know, like a update on the Pokemon.

32:02Mitch:You know they do have one other cool thing Like it'll have like time displacement areas where there's this basically this big dome appears and as you're in it, all the Pokemon in there are pissed off and like attack you, but there's certain one like you can get Pokemon that you normally can't catch, like there's normally. You find EVs. Well then you find Flareons and Porygon and all like these are really big ones and stuff, but those appear every now and then you can go find them. Okay, that's cool. It's a fun game. I'd give it an eight. I'd probably rate it higher if it had a good story, yeah, but it's a Pokemon game.

32:35Tom:It's just go out, catch them.

32:36Mitch:Story comes up and I just keep clicking until I'm done.

32:38Hayden:That's wild, so how was your news?

32:41Mitch:Well, there are a bunch of things.

32:45Tom:Dying.

32:45Mitch:That I'll have on my phone about games which I guess I can't look at because my phone's dead.

32:51Tom:Is it really?

32:52Mitch:Yeah, but I know there was a hmm, what was I going to say?

32:58Tom:I know that there's. You guys are really dropping the ball. I was going to say it.

33:01Hayden:It's been a crazy week.

33:02Mitch:I was prepared, I had 40% when we started the podcast . I don't know how my phone just died, but I know there's some new DLC for a sea of thieves that they're working on. That's coming out. They had the Pirates of the Caribbean, but they're working on some more of that. They have dying light to which will be coming out soon. I think it's comes out in March .

33:24Hayden:That comes out early February next week, maybe it does.

33:27Mitch:I was thinking it was March.

33:29Hayden:My phone has battery power. You keep talking.

33:32Mitch:Oh wait, my camera came on. Oh, there we go, Hold on.

33:36Tom:You just didn't touch it.

33:38Hayden:Mitch is our technical expert and social media guy. He can't figure out how to use his phone.

33:44Mitch:It's not working. Make sure you message.

33:45Hayden:Mitch, if you have any questions, comments or concerns about our social media. You want to say any questions? He'll get to it at some point this year, if this phone works.

33:57Mitch:But anyways, there's a new project for Halo that's being worked on. They don't know. It doesn't sound like it's DLC. It looks like a whole new project. They can't tell if it's a new book or maybe it's just DLC.

34:09Hayden:All they did was a license, a new IP for Halo. That's all people understand.

34:15Mitch:There's a reboot for Perfect Dark coming out.

34:20Hayden:Yeah it's from the initiative the quadruple A gaming company, the big to do for Microsoft. Let's see.

34:28Mitch:We also have a Minecraft Dungeons. They're getting an update called the Wild for Minecraft.

34:34Hayden:Yeah, I don't know what that's about. And Mojang the people who made Minecraft just licensed a new IP .

34:41Tom:Minecraft too. I don't know if it's going to be Blocks reloaded, yeah.

34:44Mitch:Then Ninja Theory is working on Senua's Saga, hellblade 2, which I reviewed that a while back, the first one . It's supposed to be coming out next year. Let's see. There's a honey I shrunk the kids survival game coming out.

34:58Hayden:That's grounded.

34:59Tom:Oh, that's grounded. Yeah, that's just grounded.

35:01Mitch:Oh.

35:02Tom:With the spiders.

35:03Mitch:Oh, okay, well, yeah, you're right, anyways.

35:06Hayden:And then you saw how Warzone is planning on doing on Warzone 2.

35:12Mitch:Yeah, that's all that .

35:14Tom:We'll see what that means I'm thinking that's what Microsoft is going to do. They're just like we're going to right the wrongs that you guys did with all your crap. We're going to do it right this time.

35:23Hayden:I don't know. You know they definitely need a like Activision definitely needs a bigger guy on top of them, kind of pressing their thumb down on them because they're just so out of control.

35:34Tom:Because every time they merge in a new game into Warzone it just goes backwards.

35:37Hayden:They just need to stop cranking out a game every year. Just put out a good game every three years, you know, instead of just trash.

35:45Mitch:There's also a game called Project Dragon that's in development for IO Interactive. It says it's an MMO light in a shared world medieval RPG. It'll have a 10 year plan of like DLCs and stuff coming out for it.

35:59Hayden:Every game either comes out every year or has a 10 year plan.

36:02Tom:Or like Elder Scrolls .

36:06Mitch:You might live long enough to see a trailer. But that's really all the news I have right now, mainly because I'm a glass and I can't read anymore.

36:16Hayden:Wow, we are on it. Okay, supernatural rant, all right. My first thing is every episode , sanam and Dean are concussed. I'm a halfway through season five. Okay, and despite the fact that they are fighting Lucifer, you know, and they still have 10 seasons to go and they're, like you know, off putting world ending events, they'll take their time out to go solve a ghost story in some abandoned asylum, or something like that I need a break. They keep saying that. Like that's their throwback, we need a break. Like that's not a break, that's work. Go to Florida or something. Go to.

36:56Mitch:Disney.

36:57Tom:World.

36:57Hayden:Yeah, but every episode, one or both of them is knocked out and they always just wake up like, well, where am I? Yeah, I'm just like you would think at this point.

37:07Tom:You have brain damage now.

37:08Hayden:Like that's it. All the ghosts are made up in your head. You're right, you know because they're just hallucinating.

37:13Tom:Your brain is just scar tissue at this point.

37:15Mitch:No Cas heals.

37:17Hayden:Oh, is that what it is yeah, it sustained every injury. They've died multiple times. They've been to hell and back. You know, I will say, though, I'm enjoying the show. It's fun, like the character development is definitely really good. You know, I like the dynamic between the two. I have one more good point that I want to bring.

37:35Mitch:It's not always the best story, but it is fun to watch. That's what I liked.

37:38Hayden:Yeah, so are you? How far are you into season five? I'm not in season five yet. You jumped ahead of me. Yes, I am weaning.

37:46Tom:But I'm like middle late season four.

37:49Hayden:I like how they put all the credits of the people who are going to be in the show at the very beginning.

37:55Tom:Like you don't know who Jeffrey Dean Morgan is or something like that, and I'm like oh, the trickster's in this episode Okay great, you know, I will say like, if they do like a bit episode where, like the one where they go to Hollywood and Dean just starts being a PA, he just shows up in like the next day he's got like the belt on the headset and he's just like yelling.

38:16Hayden:Yeah, 86 the Apple box. That's a cut yeah.

38:21Mitch:So did you like the one where he died a bunch? Yeah that was funny. That was funny.

38:25Tom:Where he goes to plug in the razor, Just go is this taco taste funny to you, I hear puppy.

38:34Hayden:You get spilled by a little dog. That was funny. Some of the inconsistencies throughout the seasons are kind of silly too. Like you know some of the gizmos and doodads that they use . They keep a certain ghost or whatever away, they just screw it. It's salt, everything is salt. At season five.

38:54Mitch:You know, it doesn't matter what it is, you can kill it with salt. So High cholesterol? Yeah, kind of heart disease.

39:00Hayden:That's what they get you. I think they get a little lazy and the formula is always the same.

39:04Mitch:And then chuck it. Combat Chucks yeah, I couldn't remember what season that was.

39:07Hayden:Yeah, the formula is always the same Somebody dies terribly in the very beginning it screams cut the supernatural title card. Sam and Dean, drive down the road.

39:15Tom:Sam and Dean learn about said incident. Sam and Dean investigate, said incident Knocked out Knocked unconscious. One or both or some, or Bobby shows up, saves them when eat, drink beer sitting on the impala , drive off, yeah, and they complain about.

39:30Hayden:Whatever the overarching plot is.

39:31Mitch:You know like okay, trust me more, sir. Come on, dean, you're my older brother, can't you love me?

39:36Hayden:Oh okay, One more mission yeah.

39:39Mitch:I think it's season seven or eight that they have a supernatural, the musical Alexander uh sharp his sisters in that episode. Oh yeah, yeah, she's one of the people like one of the kids in the musical.

39:51Hayden:That's funny. Yeah, it's, it's funny. And then another thing too uh, I I texted you guys this yesterday, but I saw that like I recognized the guy in the show in one of the episodes and I was like, where have I seen that guy from? And so I am DB to find out that he was a dude that died like two seasons prior. I was like it's only season five. We still have 10 more seasons to go. They're already recycling their actuals Wow. So, yeah, yeah, but it's, it's fun. You know it doesn't take itself too seriously, it makes fun of itself. So you know I'm enjoying it. For a CW show it's the best one . So there it is.

40:27Mitch:It was back when the CW was still good yeah.

40:29Hayden:So, all right, Supernatural rant time, let's get to show on the road. Tom, what are we?

40:40Tom:what are we doing Tom ? This is Silmarillion trivia, the first age.

40:46Hayden:Yeah, but I bet you didn't know that entertain this also does really old editorial notebooks from fantasy authors.

40:55Tom:You were given ample time to prepare a week. Yeah, you didn't even watch your punishment, so you're probably screwed. That's true, hey Dan.

41:05Hayden:Yep, that's me, mitch , all right.

41:10Tom:If you'd introduce your buzzers while I set up?

41:13Hayden:Go ahead, Mitch.

41:15Tom:Oh my God, All right, that was loud. Okay, you ready, I'm ready. The first age is also referred to as what.

41:43Hayden:The dark age.

41:45Tom:No, okay, you got one word, you got the uh, the Silmarillion no.

41:56Hayden:I take a chance.

41:59Tom:I don't know the elder days oh okay, is it ELD OR ? No, okay, eld, I got you. Who crafted the Silmarils, fainal? Yes, that was like probably the one you knew.

42:16Mitch:I would have said, fingal, I was waiting for you to say the word create or craft, and I just didn't ready to hit the button.

42:21Hayden:It's like I hits everything and makes everything.

42:23Tom:How does the host of Fainal reach Beleriand?

42:28Hayden:The host of Fainal.

42:30Mitch:It takes the Teleri ships.

42:32Tom:Yes, yes, mitch. Oh man, Wow, mitch has been researching. Well done, mitch.

42:39Mitch:I had three days sitting in a car at the hospital , just sitting in the car for six hours.

42:44Tom:Okay, question four Morgoth was originally known as yes.

42:51Hayden:All right, mitch, did you know that I did?

42:56Tom:Fainal leads which group of elves? The Naldor? Yes, hayden. Well done Hayden on the scoreboard. Yeah, how does the host of Fingalfin?

43:09Mitch:They take the whole crux up in the icy area and come around.

43:14Hayden:Yes, all right. Well, I didn't know that it's the whole caraxi.

43:17Mitch:I couldn't remember how you pronounce it, I just knew it, it was.

43:21Hayden:C-R-U-X-E the whore crux.

43:23Tom:No, it's H-E.

43:24Mitch:The whore.

43:25Tom:C-A-R. You were close. What substance are the cimeros?

43:34Mitch:The light of the two trees.

43:35Tom:Yes, Wow, mitch, did you actually just read the book?

43:41Mitch:No, actually I didn't read the book. All I did was research stuff. I haven't finished listening to it yet. That's probably the best way to do it.

43:47Hayden:I was about two thirds away through the book and I don't know anything Because it's such a heart.

43:52Tom:It's showing who is Feynors oldest son.

44:00Hayden:Fengold no.

44:05Mitch:Majors yes, okay, all right, I couldn't remember he was Feynors or Fengolfin's, but Well done, thank you.

44:14Tom:Okay. Tergon begins the construction of a hidden city.

44:18Mitch:Gondolin.

44:20Tom:No no.

44:20Mitch:Okay.

44:22Tom:At whose suggestion.

44:24Hayden:At whose suggestion? Mandoz or Manway? No.

44:32Mitch:You're on the right track, mandoz, no, no. What does that mean? That's like heaven for them, aule, no.

44:40Tom:One of the Valar tells him.

44:46Hayden:What's the Ohm? Yes, yeah, that guy Ohm tells him. To who was it the guy that the master crafter, dwarf guy?

44:55Tom:No, he's the water guy. He's the water guy. He's beside him. Who kills Feynors?

45:03Mitch:Gothmog yes, in the battle of.

45:06Tom:Battle under the stars. All right, stop showing off.

45:10Mitch:You said, another battle.

45:13Tom:What battle starts? The siege of Angdand.

45:17Mitch:The battle of Unnumbered Tears.

45:19Hayden:No, oh, the battle of the stars? No, okay.

45:25Mitch:The battle of sudden flame.

45:26Hayden:No Dang I don't remember then. I don't know.

45:33Mitch:Let me ask Is it called battle of some, or is it something else?

45:37Tom:Battle is in the word .

45:39Mitch:Okay, I don't know.

45:41Tom:The great battle. I'll give it to you. That was close, oh hey.

45:44Mitch:Oh, what's a guess? The glorious battle.

45:46Tom:Okay, I just guess.

45:48Mitch:All my research, I never. It's all the glorious battle.

45:50Tom:What you've probably heard is Dagor Agrile.

45:52Mitch:Oh yeah, yeah, that's what I heard.

45:58Tom:Turgon becomes Lord of what City.

46:02Hayden:Tyrion.

46:04Tom:Gondolin. Yes, ah, it's just starting to run away with this one.

46:11Hayden:Yep, I don't know, I'm gonna do good.

46:13Tom:Finrod becomes Lord of what City.

46:18Hayden:Tyrion no.

46:24Mitch:I don't know, I have no idea.

46:25Hayden:Yeah, what's Gondolin ? That was the last question.

46:37Tom:Okay.

46:40Hayden:Where's Ministeria built at Tolecyrion? Yeah, that one, no Okay.

46:44Mitch:Moria. No, I was talking to guests Somewhere I knew of.

46:49Tom:This is the one that was like no.

46:54Hayden:Lorraine.

46:54Mitch:No Belorand.

46:56Tom:Belarion yeah that thing. No, that's just a land, that's the continent.

47:00Mitch:I'm taking a guess of things I can think of.

47:05Hayden:I don't know.

47:07Mitch:I don't either.

47:09Hayden:Nargothrond oh yeah. That was my next guess.

47:14Tom:Which gets a point. It was in that continent which elf engages in single combat with Moragoth.

47:24Mitch:Fingolin Sorry, fingolfin, yes, fingolin.

47:29Hayden:Is he the one who loses his hand? No, okay, mijos loses his hand. Yeah, that's Mijos.

47:33Tom:Yeah, how many times does Fingolfin strike Moragoth?

47:37Mitch:Seven.

47:38Tom:Yes.

47:39Hayden:Jesus. Clearly I did not research enough.

47:42Mitch:Clearly I just found it really interesting, so I kept researching more and more. All right.

47:48Tom:What battle breaks the Siege of Angband?

47:54Mitch:Battle of Sudden Flame yes.

47:58Tom:Wow. It's really cool I think I have a rival in knowing stuff. Now, yeah, sauron captures what tower?

48:14Hayden:Not Minis Tirith, but the other one that's between Minis Tirith and Mordor. That's in the lore of the Rings . This is the first age.

48:25Mitch:Minis Tirith yes.

48:28Tom:Not Minis Tirith. I'm like I was looking at you like.

48:32Hayden:What's that little outpost between Minis Tirith and Mordor, minis Ethel? Yeah, that's what I was gonna guess.

48:40Mitch:I'm like I'll just take a guess, whatever you literally said it.

48:44Tom:Not Midsets, like Dagor Braga lack.

48:53Mitch:The battle of sudden flame.

48:55Tom:No, okay, sorry reveals the creation of what creatures.

48:59Hayden:Oh, dragons, yes.

49:04Mitch:Gralong or Harry Mordor.

49:06Tom:Yeah, it was close. Who is the father of dragons?

49:13Mitch:Gralong a growl. Growl a little more. However, you pronounce the loud rung. Yeah, that one, yes.

49:19Tom:That was close, mitch . That's why I recommended the audiobook, so you can hear pronunciation who kills Goth Mogg?

49:30Mitch:And golfing no.

49:33Tom:Fainter. No, fainter was killed by Gothen.

49:37Mitch:Oh, actually on.

49:40Tom:I know you're talking about he dropped.

49:41Mitch:He drowns him in the in the fountain. They drown each other together on expellion yeah, I can't remember how to pronounce all these there's a lot of, stabs him with this helmet and jumps into like a river with them. Yeah, then I drown together.

49:55Tom:After the fall of gondolin, who becomes High King of the Noldor oh?

50:04Mitch:Rod no thing golfing now.

50:09Hayden:Fainter no.

50:11Tom:Turin no Turns a man, he can't become a king of us.

50:16Mitch:Okay, that's right.

50:19Hayden:Who? Who married Galadriel?

50:21Tom:not kept, not a calabar okay, aaron deal no. Finn gone no, elrond was like his number two man, oh.

50:33Hayden:Who's Elrond's father ?

50:34Tom:not his father, randiills his father.

50:39Mitch:I don't know either. Gilgill Ed okay, no points.

50:47Tom:Baron is the son of which.

50:52Hayden:Is the son of bear, bear, bear and air or something like that of which house of men? I Can't remember the names before new menorah. I don't know the names of the houseman. It's not new menorah, is it okay? I?

51:14Mitch:know who he marries and why and how good, but not not. I can tell you a lot about him.

51:21Tom:He is of the house of Bay, or yeah, baron meets which elf? I Think Hayden was on that one, okay yeah, yes, I got a point. Baron is captured, by who?

51:38Mitch:Kirk, kirk are off any the werewolf.

51:44Tom:Well, yeah, that is not the answer. Sarah, yes, captured by Sarah I don't know who's captured.

51:49Mitch:Okay, I thought the werewolf caught him. I know he bit off his hand, that's right after he.

51:53Tom:Yeah, that was later. Yeah, you're, you're in there. Who rescues Baron from tolling Galaroth?

52:00Hayden:I Mean Give me my pity point, tom.

52:08Tom:I'll give you the pity point, lucy, and who who on the hound? I knew Lucy, but I didn't know the dog that literally kills everywhere wolf on the island singly, the dwarves sack, which elven city? I Mean crap, such fat.

52:34Hayden:I've never would have guessed it would have been you, bitch.

52:37Tom:Mr Down 52 10, 52, 10 .

I just know, before he was thrown in through the door, yeah , he had a crown beaten into a car around his neck and then was had his feet hewn out from underneath him and it was bound in the chain and cast into the void through the doors of night.

1:01:46Hayden:The ultimate banishment so was the chain called iron Ganor oh, I think I lost you did okay, which means Mitch is one. So I got punished and I got punished last week, so you get a double dude, a double dip yeah, and then I probably need recompense for not doing my punch. But so I trifecta well, the punishment for me is gonna be Buffalo rider okay, a 1978 Western drama do me a favor and text me all these punishments it's where they get the song the guy on the buffalo.

They're all sitting in the little house, all the farm hands or whatever, yeah, and they're laughing. This thing called the guy on the buffalo. It was a TV show that they were watching, but it's actually a movie, so Buffalo rider.

1:04:06Hayden:I'm so ready for next week. All right, season one of the expanse and then my trifecta punishment. So next week, yeah, just stand by for the. Hayden gets his comeuppance the power I was doing some good. I went months, months without because he started tempting fate . I haven't been punished, I slipped away again honestly, I severely underestimated Mitch's interest in Lord the Ring stuff. I was like I'll beat him in. He was texting me like he's like man.

1:04:35Tom:He's like, hey, what does this mean? And I'm like explaining something. He's okay, I got it and I was like, hey, watch this face. I was like what about this? Like I was like Mitch is gonna dominate. I was like he's about to be as interested in Lord the Rings lore as he is in Superman because they wouldn't let me inside at the hospital.

1:04:52Mitch:I've been sitting in the car. Well, for three days I sat in the car just, you know, helping my wife out with whatever she needed, and I was just sitting there researching stuff on my phone.

1:05:00Tom:I wrote down six pages of notes for the first age , yeah, just because I found it interesting, and then hey, so here Lauren, no matter, they know.

1:05:09Hayden:I guess I'm gonna have to do some more research there was.

1:05:11Mitch:I mean, I found a lot of like the key people, but then there's people he was talking about especially if the show comes out and where you guys are gonna nerd out.

1:05:18Hayden:I don't be left out, so we'll do a second-age trivia.

1:05:22Mitch:There's gonna be some kind of first-age movie or show done right. I want to see all that stuff happening.

1:05:28Tom:I don't the scale of it would be the billion dollar people.

1:05:33Hayden:I mean, they got Jeff Bezos money, so tell them to get to.

1:05:37Tom:If they got Jeff Bezos money, they can, like build a middle earth just started, just gonna do stuff, yeah, so all right well the roof of my mouth no birds.

1:05:47Mitch:And her.

1:05:48Hayden:I'm happy for you but those you know, I might have three punishments, but I think Mitch really suffered.

1:05:54Tom:It's just a real loser. Those he won, but did he did?

1:05:58Hayden:at what cost? All right. Well, looking forward to next week. Thanks, see you back.
